Chapter 4: Training with Kiba and Naruto

(AN: sorry this took so long, was feeling kinda lazy, and it otherwise just took longer for some reason idk anyway hope you enjoy)

It's the end of the week, and class just ended, Iruka sensei told us that we'll be starting sparring in a month, so I decided that Naruto, Kiba, and I should start doing some training together after class to get ready.

I went up to Naruto and said "Hey let's go ask Kiba if he wants to train together, let's get as strong as possible, so we can't be beaten by anybody."

Naruto smiles and pumps his fist while saying "Yosh we'll become the greatest, believe it."

I simply laugh a little at his antics and approach Kiba with him in tow, and as I'm about to ask him, Naruto beats me to the punch.

"Hey let's train together, we'll get so strong no one could beat us."

Naruto says.

"No one can beat me already, but I guess I could help you guys get stronger."

I rolled my eyes and said, "Well let's go."

Later at the park Kiba and I could be seen sparring with each other.

I watched Kiba as we got into our stances and I waited for him to make a move.

He immediately sprinted at me but in my eyes, he looked kinda slow and as he got close to me, he threw a wild punch with his right. My eyes dilated and he seemed to move in slow motion, while watching the fist coming closer, I simply sidestepped to his left and threw a quick jab to the side of his chin, dropping him to the ground.

*Ding: level up in AST*(I'm gonna call academy-style taijutsu AST from now on)

"oh shit, Kiba are you okay?" I say as I go to him

Kiba groans as he says "Yeah, I'm okay, what the hell was that"

"I don't know, it was like everything just slowed down, and I stepped out of the way and threw a jab," I said

"That was a jab? it felt like I was hit with a brick," he replied

I scratch the back of my head while saying. "Sorry, do you still want to continue?"

While getting up he answers. "yeah I'm not stopping till I beat you."

I grin and say "That's the spirit Kiba, dream big."

"Fuck you Tetsuya, I'll kick your ass," Kiba says in anger and lunges at me with a wild punch, I block it while laughing, and we continue to exchange blows, switching up who's fighting who, until it gets dark where a bruised Naruto, Kiba, and a perfectly fine, but sweaty me, head to our homes.

At home, I took a shower, ate some food, and I laid down on my bed.

'AST'

*Ding: Academy-style Taijutsu(level 15)*

'I leveled it up 8 times, cool let's keep this going'

The end of the month

Three boys could be seen standing in a stance, two of them watching a raven-haired boy, who was looking back at them with sharp eyes and a feral grin.

That boy is me, I watched them closely to see who would attack first 'probably Naruto' I think with my grin widening, as I was right, because the next second he rushed at me while screaming and throwing a punch, I readied myself and caught it before kicking him away and ducking under the kick Kiba threw, as it passed over me I grabbed Kiba and threw him at Naruto who was rushing back at me.

"Alright, how about we get some rest, and go get ramen, the spars are tomorrow and you don't want to be bruised and tired"

Amidst groans, there were sounds of agreement.

I nodded and said, "Well you boys head home get cleaned up, and meet me at Ichiraku ramen."

We went our separate ways to get ready to meet back up at the ramen shop.

I briefly went home to shower and change clothes and then headed to Ichiraku Ramen.

I walked in and said "Hey, old man, I'd like a miso pork ramen please"

He laughed and said "Coming right up."

As I was waiting, Kiba and Naruto finally showed up and ordered their food while sitting down.

I look at the two of them and ask.

"So, how do you think you're going to do in the spar?"

They answer at the same time.

"I'm gonna win!!"

"I'm gonna win!!"

They enter a stare-down with each other and are about to start an argument, I just laugh and with a shit-eating grin I say "You're gonna have to beat me first to do that!"

They both look at me angrily and say ""Fuck you Tetsuya!!""

I burst out laughing and they snort as I wipe a tear away while calming down.

The old man walks up with a smile, clearly glad Naruto got some friends, and sets our food down.

"Enjoy." He says happily before walking back.

We eat while making small talk and then head to our homes to sleep for the night.

Before I go to bed, I decided to do the leaf-sticking exercise for a while.

'I've gotten a lot better at it this month, but its progress is still much slower than my other skills.' I think as I stick the leaf to my forehead.

After an hour. 'I'm able to keep it sticking for an hour straight now, but that's enough for tonight' I think to myself before hopping into bed and falling asleep.

The next day

After a history lesson, some shinobi tactics, and a theoretical lesson on wilderness survival, Iruka sensei says "Today is the day we start your sparring, do your best, but don't overdo it. We don't want you hurt yourself, or your classmates, as we are all comrades in arms, and someday you might just have to fight alongside one the kids in this room. So get along, and let's have some friendly competition." he then ushers us to the training grounds and has us separate into groups of two male on one side and female on the other, he then looks at a list and says.

"Uchiha Sasuke, Noboru Tetsuya please step into the ring."
