Ogi (2)

As Ryoma touched Ogi's hand, he felt as something change within his body. It was as if he grew another limb.

"Heh, looks like I was right." thought Ryoma.

Suddenly, the flames on the katana that was stuck in Ryoma's neck disappeared.

"What is this? My cursed technique is gone?" thought Ogi.

He pulled the katana out of Ryoma's neck, preparing to deal the finishing blow. He would deal with his CT later.

As Ryoma lay on the ground bleeding, Ogi thought that the fight was over.

He couldn't be more wrong.

Just as he was about to swing his katana, a bright flame erupted from Ryoma's body.

Ogi instinctively leaped away from him.

"He stole my cursed technique!" he thought.

As the flames disappeared from Ryoma's body, Ogi saw that Ryoma's wounds were practically healed already.

"This brat can steal cursed techniques and use RCT. He isn't even eight years old. I might need to be more careful." thought Ogi as he took up his fighting stance.

That's right. Ryoma had already mastered RCT after the massacre of the Kurogane Clan.

Ryoma and Ogi stood before each other in silence, both ready to pounce at each other any moment. Then, Ogi spoke up:

"If you think that you can beat me without my cursed technique, you're wrong, brat."

"I might have been afraid of your brother, but you're nothing, Ogi Zen'in." replied Ryoma.

After hearing those words, Ogi's expression slightly changed.

Without saying another word, they both charged at each other.

Ryoma knew that Ogi's attacks were unpredictable, so although he charged at him, he focused purely on dodging his katana. He would find an opening and finish him in a single blow.

Ogi, with his body strengthened by cursed energy, quickly closed the distance between him and Ryoma.

Enhancing his arms, he performed three lightning fast slashes. Two of them cut Ryoma slightly, while the third one missed.

Without waiting, Ogi charged at Ryoma again.

A deep cut appeared on Ryoma's face.

"I need to find an opening." thought Ryoma, who prepared to dodge the incoming attacks.

This lasted for about a minute and a half. Sometimes Ryoma would dodge the blade completely, while sometimes it cut him slightly.

Soon, Ryoma was completely covered in cuts. Although he was bleeding everywhere, it wasn't anything serious. He didn't use RCT. He needed to save every last bit of cursed energy if he wanted to leave this forest alive.

"If this keeps going on, I will die. I need to utilize my new ability." thought Ryoma.

As he said those words in his mind, Ryoma ignited his fists.

"Argh! This hurts! I need to adjust it quickly." he thought.

While still dodging Ogi's blade, Ryoma quickly used Blazing Courage in a correct way, cloaking his fists in flames without burning them.

Ogi swung his blade again and again in silence.

"I can finish this in one strike. I know that I can also create a sword from fire with his technique. Ogi did that when fighting Maki. I will let him think that I plan on using my fists only, then ignite my enire body and pierce him with a summoned sword at the last moment." thought Ryoma as he dodged Ogi's blade.

"Does this brat plan on only dodging my attacks? This is getting annoying." thought Ogi, as he slashed Ryoma again and again.

Just then, as Ogi performed a complex attack that consisted of five consecutive slashes from different sides.

Ryoma barely dodged them without receiving a serious injury.

After performing the series of slashes, Ogi stopped attacking, lowering his blade a little. He was exhausted from attacking continuously.

Ryoma saw everything.

"Now or never." he thought as he ignited his entire body and summoned a flaming sword.

Using his remaining cursed energy to the fullest, Ryoma strengthened his body to the max with cursed energy and burned his muscles, achieving strength that he had never seen before.

In a single milisecond, Ryoma appeared before Ogi.

Before Ogi could react, a fiery blade pierced his skull, instantly killing him.

Without even looking at the corpse of his enemy, Ryoma fell down to the ground and quickly disabled Blazing Courage. His body was completely burned. It was an ugly sight.

Without wasting a single second, Ryoma activated RCT, draining his remaining cursed energy.

A few hours had passed since the death of Ogi Zen'in.

Ryoma Kurogane had healed most of his important injuries, and was lying down next to a tree.

"I need to leave this place. There might be more people coming after me." he thought as he got up.

While he walked through the forest, Ryoma was thinking about his fight with Ogi.

"This whole fight was a gamble. If Ogi could use Falling Blossom Emotion, I don't know If I would have beaten him. Good thing that he didn't know how to use it yet."

"What would be the outcome if I stole something else instead of his cursed technique? I still don't know what exactly happens to the person that I steal strength from."

"I need to become even stronger. The Jujutsu Society won't let me go like this. I need to at least master an anti-domain technique. Blazing Courage also needs to be experimented with."

"I'm not sure about the other ones, but Falling Blossom Emotion is the ideal one. I know the theory of how it works from my previous life. With my knowledge of it's theory, I am bound to master it if I try hard enough."

"I also need to experiment more with my own cursed technique. I still haven't understood it completely."

"The first thing I should do is to leave this place. There are too many enemies around this area. I might as well take a train to another region."

With grand ambitions in his mind, Ryoma left the forest and entered the city.
