Chapter 10

Krillin kept staring at Kaito. He then asked Goku "Is he really strong? He doesn't seem that strong."

"He looks like that but, he actually is very strong. I didn't fight him anytime but, he was able to block my attacks and even catch up to my speed. I want to fight him." Goku said.

"While listening to you talk about him, I remember something similar in our Orin temple." Krillin said and paused for a bit and then said "Wait, now I remember where I heard that name. You are the same Kaito right, who was a student in our temple for two years and then left after beating everyone on the temple."

Bulma looked at Kaito for answers. Kaito said "I will explain it later. I heard about some world martial arts tournament. Maybe I should participate this time."

"You are joining the tournament? This is going to be fun then" Goku said.

"At least you decided to do something productive." Bulma said.

They all left to the World martial arts tournament. When they got there, the place was filled with many people wearing different kinds of clothes.

Kaito, Goku and Krillin went to register for the tournament. When Kaito said his name to the staff, a person nearby heard that and shouts "Are you actually Kaito?" in rage.

Many people heard that and they all had the same reaction. All were angry to know that he is Kaito.

Bulma walks to Kaito and asks "What did you do that almost all the kids from martial arts schools are angry at you?"

"When I was 5 years old, I left out to travel the world. But, I noticed that I was weak to survive on my own. That's when I joined a martial arts school and learnt there.

The Orin temple was the first one. I learnt their techniques in two years and wanted to test out my strength. I fought with everyone in the temple and left when I knew there was nothing more I could learn from there.

From there I went to other places and learnt their techniques and fought with them afterwards. That's the reason they are angry now." Kaito said.

"Why didn't you call me for the tour? It sounds fun." Bulma said.

"That was the time when you met Jaco. I couldn't meet you at that time and after that, I didn't know how to contact you." Kaito said.

Kaito's thoughts were 'I obviously wouldn't take you with me. I was studying my quirk while learning martial arts. And I didn't want to meet that alien at that moment.

He was strong enough to kill me. I would obviously attack him if I see that guy and I didn't want to die at that time.'

"Jaco! How do you know about him?" Bulma asked with a shocked face.

"It was something that appeared in news. I travelled to the east city and found about the whole thing. You said that your mom invented the things for capsule corp. but you got some tech from Jaco. You didn't want to say that to me because you thought I wouldn't believe it." Kaito said.

"You are right. It was from Jaco's ship. Mom studied his ship and came up with that idea." Bulma said.

"Let's not talk about that now. We have a fun tournament ahead of us." Kaito said ad they went inside.

The other participants all had one thing in mind 'We are going to beat him up if we match with him.'

The preliminaries went on without any noticeable thing. Kaito, Goku and Krillin managed to win all their matches with a single punch or kick.

Yamcha wanted to participate but, left as soon as he heard that Kaito was entering.

The announcer said "Now the preliminaries are over. We have interesting participants this year. Now we will do another lottery in order to determine the order of the matches. I want all 8 participants to gather here."

The 8 participants who qualified the preliminaries gathered near a board where a chart was drawn and a person is standing near it with a box.

The announcer said "I want each participant to come here and draw a ball when called. Each ball is numbered and will decide whom you will fight."

The participants were Goku, Krillin, Kaito, a stinky fat man, a woman with orange hair, a monster and two fighters named Namu and Jackie Chun.

They all drew lots and the matches were decided. The announcer said "These are the order of matches. First match is between Krillin and Bacterian, Kaito and Jackie Chun and Kaito will fight second, next match is between Namu and Lan-Fan and the last match is between Goku and Gilan."

'Ho! I am fighting with that old man right at the beginning of the matches. I don't know if I will have energy for the rest of the matches.' Kaito thought.

Goku went and ate before the match with Kaito. The rest didn't eat before the match.

After a while, the tournament begun. Krillin and Bacterian had their first match. Krillin won as expected and it was time for the second match.

The announcer calls both of them on to the stage.

Kaito and Jackie Chun are standing on the stage, facing each other. Kaito said "Your techniques are the only ones I didn't learn though, I did hear that you focus more on physical strength."

"I don't know what you are talking about kid but, I think we should start the fight. The audience are waiting for some action." Jackie Chun said.

Jackie Chun took his fighting stance and Kaito did the same.

They both only observed each other's movements, waiting for the opponent to attack first.

Kaito decided to attack and rushed at Jackie Chun.
