DEATH PART 2

In the midst of the seeming failure of his suicide attempt, even if unawakened Asha's godly blood worked its magic, imbuing him with a resilience that even he was unaware of. The rope, meant to snap his neck and end his life, was nothing but a feeble piece of cloth against his divine heritage.

But then, a telltale sign of the reaper's hand stirred in the shadows. Asher's face, once resolute, began to slacken, a faint smile curving at the corners of his lips, as though greeting a long-lost friend.

As Asher's face began to slacken, a faint smile curving at the corners of his lips, Asha's divine blood proved its worth. The blanket, a mere thread in the fabric of his immortality, tightened against his skin, but he felt no pain.

The seconds ticked by, and Asha's consciousness slipped away, a slow descent into the veil of death.

*******

In the darkness of Asha's fading consciousness, three agonizing hours passed, each second an eternity of pain as his neck bore the weight of his now-invincible body. The boy's rage and frustration boiled to the surface, "This overpowered motherfucker!" he spat out, his voice hoarse and strained. "How can hanging myself take three fucking hours?" he thought, his anger and pain intermingling in a twisted symphony.

Finally, mercifully, Asha's consciousness slipped away, and he knew no more. But death was not the end for him, as it never truly had been.

The rope, once a taut and unforgiving noose around Asha's neck, had finally given way, snapping with a resounding crack. Asha, his eyes closed in silent acceptance of his fate, plummeted to the floor, the force of his fall shaking the very foundations of the apartment building.

The impact of the fall should have shattered his bones, yet Asha landed with nary a bruise, his newfound durability shielding him from harm.

As the dust settled around him, Asha looked down at his transformed body with wide, astonished eyes. The apartment around him seemed smaller, almost cramped, as if the room itself was struggling to contain his newfound power.

He gingerly lifted a hand to touch his face, the features now more chiseled, his jawline more defined. The changes were not simply cosmetic, for Asha could feel his strength coursing through his veins, the potential for destruction resting in the palm of his hand

As he stood, the floor groaned, buckling under the weight of his immense presence. With each step, the vibrations echoed throughout the building, a testament to his newfound might.

Asha's eyes were drawn to the fractured remnants of the blanket rope, a reminder of his failed attempt at death. He looked down at his body once more, as though seeing it for the first time. In that moment, he understood the truth of his identity.

As Asha stood on the ground, his mind grappling with the events that had just transpired, a voice cut through the silence, like a deity speaking directly to his soul. It was the System, that enigmatic presence that had always been with him, though never before had it spoken so clearly, so directly.
