Chapter 12 Orario?

"BLUEEEGH!!"

Mordred was once again puking her guts out.

"I thought you said my body would get used to this!"

[Report: I did however it will take time for those changes to happen]

After recovering, Mordred looked at her surroundings. A vast plain, but there was something that stood out. In the distance there were massive stone walls and a massive stone tower behind those walls.

"I would assume that this is danmachi if my memory is correct".

Mordred began making her way towards the city.

'Orario the dungeon city. Underneath the large stone tower called babel, lies a massive dungeon. It's unknown how deep the dungeon goes, I died before the information was released'.

'I need to be careful of the gods here, especially Freya. I don't know if my soul would be attractive to her eyes but better safe than sorry. If worse comes to worse, I'll just return back to Remnant. Another god would be Hermes. That guy has a fetish for heros and if he believes I can be one then he'll cause nothing but trouble for me. Then next would maybe be Apollo. That guy only cares about beauty and if I'm beautiful in his eyes then he'll send his familia to harass me till I join him'.

"Sigh".

'So many troublesome people, I hope nothing happens during my stay here'.

Then Mordred stopped walking.

'Right my appearance'.

Mordred was still wearing her all black combat outfit that she wears during her raids. She decided to remove the black cloak that covers her body. Her normal clothes would look out of place here but her black clothes and tactical armor would somewhat fit in.

As she approached one of the city gates she began to have a bad feeling. The line to enter the city was short and the people there had paranoid or gloomy expressions. Mordred went to the back of the line, some of the people were cautiously looking at her.

'Wait! Do the people here speak Japanese like in the anime?!'

[Affirmative, but with me you are able to understand and speak their language. However you will need to learn to read and write]

'Well that's somewhat good'.

After a few minutes Mordred was able to enter the city. Though it was more difficult than she would like to admit. The guard kept asking more questions than he probably should have and had one hand on his sheathed sword, ready to draw it at any time.

But when she stepped into the city all that awaited her was a depressing atmosphere. Not like in the anime where it was bright and the people walked in the streets unafraid. Here there was barely anyone on the streets, and the ones that were all wore hoodies to cover their face.

As she walked through the streets she noticed that most buildings were boarded up, some damaged or even abandoned. And she had a feeling of being watched by many people, from the windows or the alleys.

She continued walking, her destination was the stone tower. That's where the guild was, she planned to register as an adventurer which had some benefits, but she didn't plan to join any familia and receive a falna. Why would she when she has a system that can give her better things than a falna.

When she got closer, the large plaza that surrounds the tower was empty. Normally this place would be filled with adventurers preparing to delve into the dungeon or returning from it, but there wasn't a single soul.

'What timeline of danmachi did I arrive in?'

Arriving at the guild, the place was very quiet and empty. Mordred walked up to one of the counters. All of the counters were empty.

"Hello?"

A few seconds passed and a woman came around the corner from behind the counters. She had long red hair with wolf ears at the top of her head. She wore a simple guild uniform.

The wolf girl looked at Morded with caution.

"Who are you?"

"My name is Mordred, I came here to register as an adventurer".

The girl raised a brow at Mordred's response.

"Are you new to Orario?"

"Yep".

She studied Mordred for a few seconds before walking up to the counter. She grabbed a piece of paper from underneath the counter and set it down in front of Mordred.

"You picked a bad time to come to Orario. My name is Rose Fannett, as you can probably tell, I work as a guild receptionist. Just fill out this paper and I'll process it".

Mordred looked at the paper before looking back up at Rose.

"Umm… I can't read or write…"

"Sigh… Then I shall fill it out for you, I'll be asking you to answer my questions".

"Okay".

Minutes pass of Rose asking questions and filling out the paper. Mordred answered honestly for a few questions, as for the others she had to come up with information on the spot because she couldn't answer them.

"Alright, now are you a part of a familia?"

"Nope".

"Do you have any familia that you wish to join?"

"Nope".

"Will you join a familia in the future?"

"Nope".

Rose looked at Mordred with a deadpan face.

"Are you an idiot?"

"Yes".

"Sigh… I can't force you to join a familia and I can't stop you from going into the dungeon but I recommend you join a familia. I don't want to see another adventurer die". She whispered that last part.

"So am I all set?" Mordred asked.

"Yes, as an adventurer the guild will be more than happy to purchase any magic stones or drop items that you bring".

"Neat".

With that Mordred walked away from the counter and left the guild, going towards the dungeon.

"I always get the troublesome ones". Rose said out loud to no one.

"So this is the dungeon huh".

Descending down a large flight of stairs, Mordred arrived at the first floor.

"From a crime ridden Vale now to a crime ridden Orario. Seems I have more work to do".

She drew her sword and walked down the long corridor of light blue colored walls that provided enough light to see.

'But first I need to hone my skills. Since the dungeon is unpredictable I made sure to bring several guns, hundreds of rounds of ammunition and plenty of grenades just in case'.

~CRACK CRACK~

Many cracks appeared in the walls, goblins crawled out of these cracks and stared at Mordred with hate.

Mordred got into her combat stance.

"Well, Let's get to it!"
