we returned home after a few hours our trip was shorter because of the carriage as we got closer to the house I saw a few corps in the woods, I know it was Fenris that killed them thank the gods that I let her guard the house, I wasn't the only one that noticed them my father noticed too so he runs to the house worrying that something happened to my mother

I follow him s for shortfall he went to check on the dead bodies

inside the house, we found mother waiting for us and preparing dinner

my father directly hugged her

Olaf: "I thought something happened to you"

Esdeath: " why? , what happened? "

Olaf: "we saw four dead bodies outside the house so I thought something happened to you"

Thorell entered the house: "it was five people and from the marks, on their body, they were killed by a wolf"

Olaf: "that's strange wolfs don't attack in this area most of the wolf population for miles have been hunted down many years ago and there was no news of a wolf pack in the area"

Thorfell: "it was just one wolf a very big one from the marks he left"

Olaf:" you are telling me that a wolf killed 5 humans that were armed alone "

Thorfell: "yes it was one scary wolf, most of the bodies that I found were running away from the wolf it was so scary they didn't even try to fight it"

Balder: "well father granduncle there is something I want to tell you about"

Olaf: "what son?"

Balder: " the wolf you are talking about is my friend Fenris "

Olaf/Esdeath: "what!"

Balder: "I can call it if you want"

Thorfell: " so from where did you get this friend of yours"

Balder: "I found it injured in the forest a while ago so I fed it and took care of it until it recovered and it stayed with me since then I think of Fenris as a family member and I asked her to guard the house when we were gone "

Olaf: " can you call her for us to see "

Balder: "okay"

we went outside of the house then I make a howling sound just for appearances and call Fenres through our bond a few minutes went by then a giant white wolf emerged from the forest line it gets close to me and I feel my parent become worried what do you expect its a giant wolf and a 5-year-old child standing in front of each other

Fenris doesn't care about them she gets to me and then starts licking my face and I have to say it's like getting a shower of saliva after stoping her I look at my parent and Thorfell ;

Blader: "father, mother come and meet Fenris"

Olaf: " son you almost gave me a heart attack "

Esdeath: "son I am proud of you, you already can make many men feel shame your only five and did something that many couldn't do you tamed a wild wolf maybe in the future they will call you balder the tamer whats next your gonna bring us a bear to the house"

Balder:"maybe"

then they began to laugh and chat together after a while we entered the house this is our last night here tomorrow we leave

as I slept in my bed for the first time in a while, Fenris is laying at the side of my bed my parent let her in the house my parent refused the idea at first who would accept a giant wolf sleeping with a five-year-old but the accepted reluctantly after they heard that we slept together before and that if they refuse I will sleep out again nothing happened in the night

On the morning of the next day, we prepared everything and went on the road it will be the beginning of my journey in this world
