Isabella and Kimiko sat across from Rosalin Blackwood, one of the nobles Isabella had "danced" for. Back then, she'd been quiet and bashful, now she was shrewd and calculating.
The negotiations had been going on for hours, and Isabella was starting to feel the strain.
[Fuck, who knew selling a revolutionary magical item could be so fucking tedious?] she thought, suppressing a yawn.
Kimiko, on the other hand, seemed to be in her element, to the point where the conversation had mostly become between her and Rosalin.
"So," Rosalin said, leaning back in her plush chair, "we've agreed on the initial production run and profit sharing. But I still have concerns about market penetration."
Isabella perked up at that, a wicked grin spreading across her face.
"Oh, I'm all about penetration."
Kimiko shot her a warning look, but Isabella could her holding back a smile.
