Disaster

While verlin was free falling.

A team of military agents in charge of watching out for fly objects noticed a small asteroid moving at impossible speeds for it size, they quickly notified their superiors of the situation, They knew it was impossible to try to shoot down the object, first it was too small, second it's was moving way too fast for any of their missiles to intercept and they had seconds to try to prepare for the impact.

The nearest cities to the asteroid impact was about 65 km east of the impact, they weren't quite sure what to do and if the shockwave would travel that far, if it was a normal meteor of that size they would not be worried but this one was moving at speeds over mach 40, there was no way of telling what it was and how much damage it would cost.

The military immediately sent fighter jets and elite soldiers to the location of the impact, to try and reach it before any other individuals could, something that could move at such speeds with such a small size must have an incredible density and might even be made of material suitable for military use.

" Sir, the impact of the asteroid has sent a Shockwave moving towards City C. At the rate it is traveling, it will hit in less than 2 minutes."

General Felix was not sure of what to do. If he was to send a warning to City C, it would only cause panic and people to act wildly. After contemplating for a couple of seconds, he replied, " What is the estimated damage the Shockwave could cost?"

"We aren't sure, but the Shockwave should die down after crossing such distances but there would definitely be broken windows and shattered glasses, its estimated that the hospitals would be packed for the next 2 or 3 weeks. But the overall death casualties should be low."

" Alright then, don't bother warning or sending troops to City C, send them all the site of the impact, We'll inform the public that it was a once in a lifetime... earth bubble"

"Earth bubble? What's that?"

"I dont know, just make something up. The public would believe anything."

"......"

"How long will it take our troops to arrive at the impact location?"

"With the preparation time needed and the speed of our jets, they should arrive in just under an hour, but the rest of the troops will take slightly longer about an extra 20 minutes."

" Good, have the pilots of the jets keep an eye on the perimeter before, me and the rest of the troops arrive, If they notice anyone give only one warning and if they don't leave, shot em down"

"Yes, sir."

Verlin Pov.

As various noises were bombarding his eardrums, verlin was forced to his knees, trying to stop the noises but was to no avail, After spending what felt like hours of constant agony on the ground he could finally organize the noises coming to his ear, and amongst them he could hear the noise of something piercing through the wind.

When he looked up, he saw a jet, but it was completely different from the ones he had seen before. That's when he realized he didn't even know the world he was thrown into for all he knows he might have just been thrown into a world where beings like godzilla existed.

As the jet approached he thought it would land but it flew directly above his head, if he was still a normal person the wind pressure would have send him flying, but now he was completely different, he didn't even blink. He watched the jet circle around a radius of where he was before slowing down and landing.

Before he could go up and ask questions, he heard multiple flying objects moving toward his location several kilometers away, but at the speed they were moving, they would be here in a minute or 2. And seeing the pilots didn't show any signs of coming up to conversate, he decided to wait till the rest of their friends arrived. So he crossed his legs to take a seat and he waited.
