The light was so bright that it could be seen from every corner of the shelter. The yellow glow lingered in the sky for a while before darkness returned once more. Ethan could tell it originated from the infamous southern gate.
*Sigh
"Seems like they're facing problems again," Ethan muttered to himself.
What he witnessed was a distress signal. Distress signals come in different colors: white, yellow, orange, dark orange, purple, and finally, red.
Each color signifies a different level of danger—the white signifies a slight danger. It was usually sent when a few demonic beasts mistakenly wandered into or near the shelter. This level of threat wasn't too severe, as there were seldom any casualties during these attacks.
The yellow distress signal indicated a slightly greater danger than the white one. The same goes for the orange, dark orange, purple, and finally, the red, with each color representing increasing danger.
