Apology

Vanessa Owen was the daughter of one of the richest and wealthiest family the Graceland.

Born beautiful, tall and talented she had everything anyone or any girl could ever want.

Her life was already planned, with a handsome boyfriend and an acting profession in her path, who was she to turn away.

But unfortunately for her she had gotten pregnant for no one other than the one of all, Rowen Quinn. The richest man in Graceland.

And he was ready to marry her, he was ready to start a family but to everyone's surprise, Vanessa kept on turning him down.

Any woman would literally die to have such a rich and handsome man go after her but Vanessa never wanted a child, she never wanted a husband.. all she cared about was her career.

But with all the pressures coming from her family, she had no other choice but to marry him.

After birthing their daughter, she began her consistent pressure to divorce him.

She wanted to be free of a man who literally showed her nothing but affection. Yes he was cold and knew nothing on how to act with emotions, but he cared for her truly yet she kept on pushing him away.

With her deceitful cousin feeding her ears with lies against her husband, her feelings for him soon started to turn to hatred.

She hated him to the point that she even hated her daughter and everyone else who supported him.

After numerous tries to humiliate him and make him hate, she finally succeeded by using her life this time ahead to divorce him.

Not wanting to let the love of his life die, Rowen gave up and divorced her as he shut his heart for any other woman.

But little did she know that as soon as he left her life, the beginning of her downfall began.

After realizing what she had left behind all these years, it was too late.. he had already found someone else and she had already met her end.

Yet when she opened her eyes once more, she realized that indeed she was back one year into the past.

Now she would do all she can to capture the heart of her ex husband. She must do anything even if it meant seducing him until he was hers again.

In an anesthetic gray and white office, sat a man, face down as he looked through the files in his hands with utmost seriousness.

He slightly adjusted his glasses as he crossed his legs, his eyes immediately moving from his files to the door just ahead of him.

*Knock*

"Come in," his deep voice echoed slightly as the crick sound of the door opening was heard.

Walking in was a man of 5 '2 foot tall, dressed in a black suit. He looked both as charming as the man seated beside the desk.

"What is it?" Rowen's cold voice questioned.

"Sir, I'm here to report on the meeting that will be held tomorrow. They Said that they won't be able to make it by nine tomorrow.. So they asked to reschedule, sir?"

"Then reschedule it, tell them they only have tomorrow by nine or on this day next year to meet with me.. if they can't make it, then they should find another company to work with."

His words were cold yet the man seemed unshaken, probably already used to his tone of approach.

Seeing as his secretary Mr. George had yet to leave, Rowen raised his brows slightly, "Anything else George?"

Hesitating, George finally stated, "Well sir, it is concerning.. Miss Owen.."

Hearing her name, Rowen's temper immediately grew as he dropped the file he had in his hands almost immediately.

"What about her?"

"W-well.. sir she is still outside the company, she has yet to leave, it's raining heavily outside but she refuses to leave until she sees you."

"Is that so?"

Rowen was quiet for some time. 'what the hell is that woman up to?'

He thought as he stood up from his chair and walked towards the window at the left side of his office.

The window was huge and through it he could see who exists and comes into his company.

Standing beside it he could see from afar the tall and frail woman who stood under the canopy. Her body slightly drenched as she shivered.

She was still with her pajamas which made her look ridiculous.

What exactly did she want? Didn't she want to be free from him and the marriage? He has already given her the freedom she wanted, what else did she want?

Turning around, he instructed, "Send her in and get a new pair of clothes and some towels!"

Without wasting time, George nodded and did as he was told.

Meanwhile, standing under the small canopy was Vanessa. It has been up to nine hours since she got here, she wasn't backing down.

She must see Rowen and get him back no matter what, a little Rain and cold couldn't stop her.

But just when she was about to give up, the sound of the door opening was heard as George, Rowen's secretary, made his way out, with a set of clothes in his hands.

He walked towards her with an umbrella as he said, "Miss Owen, the boss has agreed to meet with you but he instructed that you must change into these clothes first."

George then handed over the cloth to her as a Sense of relief and happiness flashed across Vanessa's eyes.

She was happy knowing that even after everything she had done to him, he still had feelings for her.

Taking the clothes, she immediately got dressed and made her way to his office.

In less than twenty minutes, she knocked his office door and his deep and stern voice was heard, "Come in."

And she went in but she was a little nervous so she didn't look him in the eyes as she then kept her face down on the ground as she took her seat.

They both sat in silence for up to ten minutes as Rowen said nothing and just continued with his work.

With ten minutes gone in silence, Rowen finally spoke up, "If you have nothing to say, the door is just right there.. stop wasting my time and leave!"

He said coldly as Vanessa then finally had the courage to look the man in the eye.

And to Rowen's surprise, tears started to fall from her golden eyes, as she cried without saying a thing leaving him confused.

But finally she spoke out.

"I-i'm sorry.."
