Parents regret
Lee Jianguo also had the same thought. He loves his daughter and wife a lot. But he never got to spend good family time. So, he always fulfilled every wish made by his daughter as a compensation for lack of his time. But he never realised things has reached to this point where his daughter only asked for things from him and never cared about anything else. He failed to give the love his daughter wanted and he raised her wrongly. It was his mistake. she became like that because of their negligence. It was his carelessness which made a third person to take control over his daughter. He owed his wife and daughter a lot, and more to his daughter.
Both of them became busy when Lijuan was born. They had just gotten married and did not plan to have a kid and it was an accident. Mulan had taken over her father's business and he had taken down everyone in his father's company and secured his CEO post. Mulan's pregnancy was sudden and she had to keep the child because of her weak body constitution. We both were working day and night in the office, without proper break or food, which had spoiled Mulan's health at that time and she became pregnant. Doctor said we had to keep the child and If not, it would do great harm to Mulan's body. So, we decided to keep the child and still Mulan was busy with work. Lee Jianguo hardly enjoyed the happiness of becoming a father, only a couple of times he had touched Mulan's bulging tummy and felt the baby kicking. Mulan was most of the time busy with work and exhausted to sleep. She didn't communicate well with the child as well. Because of which the child was born week. Both his father and Mulan's father were angry on how thin the baby was and how week the little girl looked. Mulan also went through a hard labour and damaged her body severely. They couldn't have any more babies. All happened due their own carelessness. Mulan went through complete medication to get better and she took a break of sex months to get herself and the baby in better shape. Post six months of careful nurturing Mulan was back in health and she joined the company back to take over the pending work. Lee Jianguo was still busy with his company to prove himself as a capable CEO. He was blessed with a baby girl who bought him huge luck. He was successful is his every discussion and mergers, whole capital city knew that Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan had a baby girl whom they treasure more than their life. Everything was good post Lijuan's birth. Both of them succeeded in everything they did. Lijuan was also taken care of by their fathers. Both of them loved Lijuan more than they would love him and Mulan. Basically, Lijuan was grown up by her grand father's side. When Lijuan's health got better she turned out to be a beautiful baby girl. Hua Mulan was a great beauty with grace and Lee Jianguo as a cold handsome man. Lijuan took their best features, she was born beautiful, so only her name was given as "Lijuan – beautiful and graceful". Like her mother she would gown up to be a beautiful and graceful woman.
Most of her childhood was missed by Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan as they were busy working. Lijuan remembers her childhood with her grandfathers more. Which was also the reason for Mulan's and his regrets and guilt towards Lijuan. So, they let her do whatever she wanted. Now they regret everything. If they could go back then they really wouldn't wish to miss Lijuan's childhood. Since they can't change anything, all they can do is to make it up to Lijuan but they also need to be more careful about people around her. Their daughter is very innocent and easy to take advantage. They have to teach her the ways of world. She should understand the good and bad people around her. Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan came out of their thoughts and after a few casual words with Lu Meirong, they sent her back to her room.
The study became quite again once Lu Meirong left. Both Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan sat in their seat silently for couple of seconds and finally Lee Jianguo hugged Hua Mulan and consoled her,
"It's ok. We still have time and we can get close to our daughter. It might be difficult but we have to give Xiao Juan love and affection and not materialistic things. We have to correct in her behaviour and tell her what is right and wrong. We can still teach our daughter. Don't worry. She is the daughter of Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan, she can't be compared to ordinary child. She will learn from mistakes and pick herself back together."
How can Lee Jianguo not understand Hua Mulan's thoughts. Both of them had same mindset so they were thinking about the same thing. It's best to look for solution than worrying about what has already happened. Hua Mulan also agreed with Lee Jianguo,
"Yes, I think we should give more of our time to Lijuan. She will open up her heart for us and she will also bravely face the problems in the future. She will be sharp enough to understand the manipulating thoughts of people around her".
Lee Jianguo and Hua Mulan sat in the study for some more time discussing about what they should do in the future. And left the study together.
Lijuan on the other hand went directly to her room with a wide smile. She just took first step and it's already enough to make her parents take action on Lu Meirong. What a good ending!
Seeing the wide smile on Lijuan's face Ivy also felt happy. Finally, it doesn't have to destroy itself. This host is quite capable and proved her worth in first counterattack itself. Indeed, a good ending of the day.
"You are indeed smart. You took action on the first day you were reborn. Didn't even wait for a chance. That was a great move on your enemy. I am impressed!", said Ivy.
Getting Ivy's appreciation, Lijuan was very happy. This system was like her ancestor now. Making it feel that she worth every bit of its help. Ah!! It's really a good day for her.
"I don't need a chance to counterattack. I know Lu Meirong well enough to predict her actions and I can attack her in every unexpected turn. One should never underestimate their enemy. In Lu Meirong's case she thinks I am not a worthy opponent at all. How can she avoid my attacks when she is not prepared and she don't even know who her enemy is!"
"Indeed, one should not be over confident. She will only be the reason for her own demise", said Ivy.
