Big Bull scooped up Xuexue and placed her beside the small wooden bucket, chasing after her.
"Big Bull, don't worry about me. I'm going back to rest for a while; you stay in the field and continue watering," Xuexue said, clearly upset yet not wanting to affect Big Bull, so she kept walking and looked back as she spoke.
"No, I'd rather take you home and come back to water the field; it won't be too late."
Big Bull insisted and Xuexue didn't say anything more, just quietly walked ahead.
Big Bull, carrying the small wooden bucket, followed closely behind.
Madam Xie and several women from the village, engaged in needlework, were sitting in front of the new house, chatting and embroidering, when Madam Xie glanced up and noticed Big Bull and Xuexue coming back one after the other.
