Lucifer groans boredly. There's nothing for him to do. Nobody here can entertain him because none of them looked interesting to him.
It's been a day and a half since Rosetta was asked to take a vacation and he had nothing to do. He finds Augustus' room to bother him and knocks on the door. "Who is it?" Augustus asked. His voice could be heard on the other side of the door and it sounded pretty cold.
"It's me," Lucifer replies softly, taking the persona of Phoenix almost immediately.
The other side was quiet before Augustus answered, "Come in."
Lucifer wastes no time opening the door and entering a simple room. The room is light grey and a king-sized bed is at the center of the room. Augustus was sitting on the desk concentrating intensely on his holopad.
Lucifer walks to him and looks over his shoulder to see what he is doing, perhaps it might be of interest to him.
He wasn't expecting to see a bunch of numbers, letters, and symbols on his holopad. "What are you doing?" Lucifer asked out of curiosity.
"Holiday homework," Augustus replies.
"Homework?" Lucifer said, sounding confused.
"It's a way teachers get students to absorb knowledge when they aren't there," Augustus explained.
'It looks hard.' Lucifer thought looking at it. "Is it a must for you to do it?" he asked.
"Yes," Augustus replies. "School is going to be resuming in two weeks and I still have a long way to go," he said as he continued to work on his homework.
Lucifer stood next to him and continued to watch him. He watched as different formulas formed into a single line of numbers, letters, and symbols. After this, Augustus moved to the next question and Lucifer watched closely.
After a while, Augustus finished the question and moved to the next one. "Is it hard?" he asked.
Augustus stopped immediately and turned to Lucifer. "Are you bored?" he asked.
Lucifer nodded frantically and Augustus smiled. "I have an idea for an activity that would interest us both."
Augustus led Lucifer to the training room. They both wore their space tracksuits and they both entered the training room. The setting of the training room was a beautiful field with tall grass and flowers.
"Are we going to spar?" Lucifer asks.
"Yes," Augustus replies. "However, this is just going to be a hand-to-hand combat, no weapons, abilities, or magic."
Lucifer nods in response. That seems fair. "Alright, I can agree with that," he said.
Augustus nodded and wasted no time going to attack Lucifer.
Lucifer read his movements and saw he was going in for a kick. He was going to counteract this with a kick of his own, but he was caught off guard when a strong punch landed on his stomach.
"Ack," Lucifer felt that a lot. But he recovered quickly. Throwing a punch of his own. Augustus dodged but Lucifer thought fast and kicked him to the side.
It wasn't as hard as he anticipated, since Augustus threw another attack of his own.
This went on for thirty minutes, and Lucifer was already getting bored. Neither of them had yielded and they were both not showing signs of exhaustion.
They both moved at the same time and clashed in the middle. Now they weren't trying to fight each other anymore but rather trying to tackle each other and make the other give up.
Lucifer was close to getting Augustus to fall, but this didn't work, he couldn't reach his neck and he was tackled down again.
This time around he fell to his stomach and Augustus held him down by the back of his neck. Which was quite sensitive.
"Hey, hey, hey, stop holding there," Lucifer said in a panic, his voice was a bit shaky and his face was flushed.
Augustus didn't release him, but he reduced his grip a little bit. It was even worse for Lucifer. He struggled to get out of Augustus' grip by slipping out like he usually did, but failed.
"If you want me to release you, then you have to give up," Augustus said, his face a bit close to Lucifer's ear.
Lucifer struggled even more. "Never!" he said.
Augustus then tightened his grip around his body and after five minutes of struggle, Lucifer came to the terms that he had lost this battle.
"Fine, I give up," he said.
"I win," Augustus said before releasing him. Lucifer then pushes him off, stands up, and refuses to face him.
Augustus stood up and went to look at Lucifer's face just to see if he was angry and silently throwing a tantrum.
He sees Lucifer's face was a bit red in embarrassment. "Next time, I won't lose," Lucifer said.
Augustus ruffles his hair, gently brushing his hair. "Alright," he said, not mocking Lucifer because he knew that he could win next time. "Do you want to go and have some lunch?" he asked.
Lucifer turns to him. "But Rosetta isn't around to prepare food for us," he said.
"We could always go out to eat," Augustus suggested.
Lucifer smiled and nodded. "Alright," he said. "But it'd better be good."
