Meeting Little Li

Mira gazed out the window of her burning mansion. She had just lost her unborn child. Her husband had made it clear he despised her by pushing her down a flight of stairs.

She had cried when she found out he was cheating on her with her own sister. Her whole family had known but refrained from telling her.

"I hate all of you."

Mira slowly turned around and walked to her dressor and picked up a ruby red pendant necklace.

"My poor baby. Mommy didn't protect you, but I promise my little Li."

She paused to rub the ruby and with great difficulty put it around her neck.

"Mommy will never forget you."

She winced as burning flames licked her back and smoke suffocated her back.

"I will never love another person ever again. I curse all of you!"

At that moment a robotic voice could be heard.
