Chapter 28: Teaching Space Magic and How to Cast Chantlessly

The entire room was quiet. All of the students were so shocked that their mouths were gaping. They simply didn't expect a student to become a professor in one day. It was almost inconceivable that he would become a professor! Not only that, he was a professor tackling space magic!

While the students were in awe, he moved on and said, "I know you're all shocked with me becoming a professor, well… I am as well since I was just a student a day ago. But, don't worry, I will be sure to teach you intricately."

Ryu then cleared his throat as he spared no time and talked about space magic. "The definition of space is a perfect vacuum, but what is space magic? It's certainly not just the definition of space outside our planet, but everything around us."

The students started to listen attentively since they were interested in learning more about space magic. Now, they had a sense of understanding in their mind of how Ryu became a professor. It was because he used the magic that is mostly unknown to the people: Space Magic.

"Space magic can be defined in three words; manipulation of space. Although the explanation seems simple, the process of it is incredibly complex."

"Unlike magic of the other elements, you cannot materialize space since it's already around us. You gather your mana but inject it unto the space around you instead of forcing each mana particle to combine."

"It will take a couple of tries before you can actually do simple space manipulation as you have to visualize the mana encapsulating the space particles."

"As you do that, your skill at mana manipulation comes into play as you force the space particles or atoms, probably, apart and fill in the space that you opened with mana so that your mana and particles could combine, thus forming a space magic circuit."

Ryu wrote everything on the board so that the students could visualize the process in a more straightforward means. As the incarnation of a time and space deity, Ryu had no trouble manipulating space. However, ordinary people simply cannot reach Ryu's level of space manipulation.

(A/N: I'm pretty sure you guys already know that I'm writing bullshit, right?)

The students were in a daze as they barely understood the topic of 'manipulating space particles. Though, the students from the zenith grade immediately tried out Ryu's method.

Anna, Nila, and Emma crossed their arms as they knew that it wasn't as simple as it seemed. Ryu thought of this method to them a while back, and they could barely use simple spatial storage magic.

Ryu's eyes scanned the area and looked attentively at his siblings, Azalea, who was also a bestowed rank, and the doll-like girl named Mizuki, who looked absentminded. Ryu had a hunch that these four would be able to immediately manipulate space to the Fujisaka Trio's level.

Ryu then spoke again, "Alright, since any lesson further than this is useless, I will slowly demonstrate space magic to you so that you can copy it. Even if you can only manipulate a small amount of spatial magic, I'll still consider you to have a passing score."

One student raised their hand. They were probably from the Classes with the Rank of Arche and below. It was a girl who asked, "Umm… Professor? Doesn't magic typically have chants?"

Ryu simply smiled, saying, "As I told you, I'm also your chantless magic teacher. I will tolerate anyone who tries to chant to use magic and fail them immediately. Remember, magic with chants is more inefficient than when you use your mind and visualize the process of magic."

"If you were in a life-threatening battle, chanting will make you vulnerable as you have to focus on two things, your chants and your enemy. If you fail your chant, your spell will fail to activate, isn't that right?"

The students nodded as Ryu turned around to look at the board. He then said, "I suppose we should also mix in a lesson about chantless magic. There is a way to train yourself to be able to visualize the formation of mana to use spells, and it's called mana vision."

"It's a simple way to observe the mana around you, but it exhausts your mana reserves quite drastically, so it isn't commonly used unless it's a dire situation."

"To perform this technique, you must manipulate your mana and pull it all into your eyes. Your mana will undoubtedly leak, so with an average rank mana pool, you'll only be able to maintain this technique for 40 seconds before your mana reserves will dry up."

"Though, this will help you see the direction and flow of mana. This was used to decipher unknown magic techniques used on the battlefield, but because of its inefficiency, it was discarded."

"However, this has since evolved into something quite amazing called Mana Sense. Instead of using only your eyes to find traces of mana, you use all of your senses infused with mana and identify the traces of magic around you while using very little from your mana reserves."

"To perform this technique, you must spread your mana all over your body like a physical enhancement spell. But instead of hardening your body, you focus your attention on your senses, and you'll find that it has been drastically enhanced."

"Even if your mana reserves are only at the Average Rank, you'll be able to maintain this state for 10 minutes. Do you understand what I said?"

With the simple and concise explanation, the students managed to get the gist of it, and they spread their mana all around their bodies, causing Ryu to sigh as he said, 'People on this world are terrifyingly good at magic. Despite only having it for a few years.'

"A-Amazing! I can see mana around me even though they're pretty vague!."

"Woah! What the hell?"

The students were amazed and super excited since it was straightforward to understand.

Toshiro was amazed at Ryu's prowess and was shocked. He then whispered under his breath, "I must report this to father later on."

On the other hand, Azalea squinted her eyes as she fixed her misaligned glasses. Her lips curved slightly as she said, "Interesting."

Ryu then cleared his throat, causing the students to be quiet as he continued, "Since space magic is complex, I'll first demonstrate a simple fire spell. You must observe how my mana gathers to form the spell."

Ryu then slowly gathered his mana to create a simple flame that floated upon his palm. The students attentively looked at the way he gathered mana, and the students who were not knowledgeable about chantless magic, which was most of the students, understood the gist of it.

"Okay, now you must perform magic without chants. Anyone who cannot form a simple fire spell without chants today will have zero points for today, understood?"

The students all said yes, and they immediately started trying. Ryu then added one more thing, "Oh, and also, imagine the process of the creation of fire, base your mana upon that, and your fire will be ten times stronger than a regular fire spell."

The students listened to Ryu's instructions and managed to use a simple chantless fire spell. Ryu smiled as he said, "Good, all of you pass! Remember, you don't always have to rely on Mana Sense. You can cast spells from any element by observing them and form your mana the way a certain element forms."

"We're almost done with today's lesson, and you'll try to manipulate a little bit of space magic by observing how I do it. Space Magic is hard to learn if you have no mentor as you have to learn everything I told you from scratch."

"Now, I'll show you guys how to perform a simple spatial storage spell," Ryu said as he opened his hand while manipulating space via space magic. He did it very slowly so that the students could follow it without any complications, but it was still tough to learn from simply looking at someone perform it.

The space on his palm distorted as it became incredibly blurry, signifying that the area atop his palm had been manipulated. The students were intently using Mana Sense to understand how Ryu manipulated his mana, but it was hard for them to comprehend it.

"Just like that, a Spatial Storage has been formed. Remember that Spatial Storage is like using a part of space that no one else can use. The space that you use is solely yours as it is derived from your own mana."

"The amount of items you can store in your Spatial Storage is also limited to your mana reserves. For example, a person with an Average Rank mana pool can store items to the amount of 100 square feet."

The students nodded their heads as Ryu finally smiled, "Now, it's you guys' turn. I won't fail anybody as it is your first day of learning Space Magic, but people who can manipulate even a slither of space will be given a high grade."

"Begin!"

The students then tried their hardest to copy what Ryu did, but spreading apart space particles is more complicated than Ryu made it seem like. However, Aoi, Hina, Azalea, and Mizuki all did it, shocking the Fujisaka Trio.

Lilia, on the sidelines, was satisfied with Ryu's teaching performance and smiled widely. She then thought, 'It seems that I need to give Sensei~ a reward~!'

Ryu was satisfied seeing a couple of students from the Arche and Dyad class, and all of the Zenith class students managed to manipulate either a slither or full-on manage to make a Spatial Storage.

As they finished things up, the bell rang, and Ryu said, "That's it for today. Class dismissed."

The students happily chatted about learning a lot about magic in Ryu's class and happily left the huge room. Lilia then approached Ryu and said, "That was amazing!"

Ryu couldn't help but laugh as he said, "Thanks for the compliment. I never had teaching experience, so it was probably a bit bad."

"No, no! Not at all, even I managed to advance my knowledge in Space Magic a bit. You're like a space god!" Lila happy complimented Ryu even more while hugging him, burying his face in her massive tits. Ryu smiled as he groped Lilia's breasts, causing her to moan.

Ryu felt his godly status rising up a bit as Lilia called him a god wholeheartedly, which directly translates into faith.

"Naughty boy~" Lilia whispered, letting Ryu grope her tits even more, even making him pinch her nipples through her clothes.

"Alright, Miss Fujisaka, let's go!" Ryu said while slapping her ass. They both laughed as they left the room and headed toward the Lounge Area.

(A/N: Thank you for keeping up with my bullshit. LMFAO, I bet it has so many plotholes.)
