At Hensley Inn
In the Eye of the Storm
Not long after, the dining area slowly became louder and rowdier.
While a small group of people started to gather at the dining area center, Ivy could hear their cheers gradually became louder and louder.
"What's going on?" she said as she took a look outside the kitchen window, "What's happening there?"
Then as the people's cheers drew her out from the kitchen, she went closer to see the commotion at the center.
Once she got closer to the group, she could hear people raving,
"Drink! Drink! Drink! Drink!"
"Is there a drinking competition? Why wasn't I told about this?"
While she became more curious, she tried her best to squeeze herself to the center.
"I'm sorry. Please let me through!" She yelled, and with one final push, she arrived at the center of the rowdy crowd and was surprised to see the people who are the cause of this all.
"Leon! Sir Ingrid! What are both of you doing?!" Ivy shouts with all her might.
Prince Leon and Sir Ingrid were drinking against each other and piled up with jars of beers on their table.
"Come on, Ivy! *hiccup!* Let the men live a little *hiccup*."
Peterson hung his arms around her, smelling like a lousy drunkard while he holds a jar of beer by his side.
"Mr.Peterson?! What's happening? How did they end up here like this?!"
She asks while she supported Peterson's weight and pulled away his beer to stop him from drinking further.
"Can't you see? *hiccup* They are settling their problems like a grown-up! *hiccup*."
"Huh?! What do you mean like a grown-up?"
While she continues to stand on the side, looking bewildered with their actions, both of them just kept on drinking, and the jugs kept on piling higher and higher.
Then an unpleasant thought struck her,
"Who is going to pay for all this?!"
It was no use asking Peterson, as he was out for the count.
Then as Ivy's patience began to decrease, she threw Peterson to the side and started taking her own measures.
She walked up to the drunken boys and gave them a menacing glare.
And her glare was so intense that it made the boy turn their gaze away from the table of beers.
When they saw the ferocious girl, they stunned as they did not know what to say to calm her.
Before they knew it, with a swing of her punch, she yelled, "I THOUGHT I TOLD YOU TWO TO PLAY NICE WITH EACH OTHER!"
Then *Crash!* they went as they fell to the ground, and instantly they became unconscious after receiving that vicious punch of hers.
Moments later, while the two laid unconscious by the table, Peterson kneeled on the ground and endured a long, harsh lecture by her.
"Mr. Peterson,"
Ivy folded her arms, looking crazy angry.
"What do you have to say for yourself?"
"It's my fault entirely. Please forgive me" He shed a tear, sincerely repenting his wrongdoings.
"You think I forgive you after you made them do that!"
Ivy pointed at the mess where the boys laid while Peterson cowers like a small mouse against a raging tigress.
"You fed beer to a boy who has zero-tolerance against alcohol and another who had just recover from a fever. On top of that, they are both underages! Do you think that this was an appropriate action of an adult?! You should know better."
Peterson just continues to shiver as he never imagines that a sweet young girl like Ivy could turn into a loud and frightening gorilla.
"I don't care what you say. I won't be letting you off this easy. You'll have to take responsibilities like an adult Mr. Peterson. So for this matter, the boy's beers will be charge under your bill."
"What?" Peterson baffled while his face slowly began to turn pale when he saw the mountain of beer on the table.
In an instant, he grovels over her feet as he begs, "Nooooo! Please forgive me!!"
After letting out all her frustrations, she looks at Peterson with dead eyes then let out a deep sigh.
"Fine, what is done is done. Just promise me that there will never be a next time."
He immediately looked up at her and happily nodded with tears.
Then as she saw his pathetic face, made her let out another sigh, for the earnest man she thought he was, didn't turn out how she expected.
Just when she thought the day had finally turn peaceful, bad news came walking by itself through the door.
