Hide and seek -II

Na-Gil walked out of the Doctor's office and strode back to the VIP ward Yo-han was moved into. At the entrance, Soo-Jin stopped him to ask. "Mr Sung, that's you, right?" Na-Gil nodded and she continued, "I'll leave the young Master in your care, I need to check on my boss. I have to go." With that she left the hospital in search for Kim Hyun-Jun.

Finally he had the chance to walk into the ward to check on Yo-Han and to his surprise, the room was empty. He went to the comfort room to check. He knocked a few times with no response from within and this got him agitated. He forced the door open only to find nothing except droplets of blood and the dirty slacks Yo-Han had on when he was admitted. He traced the drops of blood until it ended at the small window. Looking down through the window, he realized that it was five floors to the ground. Until then did he realize that something is really wrong. 'Did they track him down here?, What's the security here for?'.

He was about to get out of the room to search for Yo-han when he received a call. "Asuke, what is it right now, I don't have time..."

"Your boss... er... Jin Beom-Seok ordered for him to be kidnapped again, they placed a tracker on him and they are heading towards him already. They left just now." Asuke informed hurriedly.

"What do you mean by just now? They took him already!" Na-Gil seemed confused. "They just dispatched now, the order only came about five minutes earlier, there is no way they are already there?" Asuke confirmed, leaving Na-Gil more confused. 'Then who was it who took him away... That woman?, the tough one, she must've done this.' Na-Gil thought. He ended the call and continued his journey to the security department where he reported the case of a missing patient. He threw a tantrum and even threatened to sue the hospital unless they find Yo-han.

After finding Yo-han for only about half an hour, he suddenly disappeared again, he hadn't even had the chance to see Yo-Han's face. Na-Gil, Bae Jang-Mi and Chang Cho-Rong all where in distress, trying to find Yo-han. Again the search party was dispatched.

Meanwhile at the Hotel where Dan-bi resides, her doorbell suddenly rang at the middle of the night, jolting her from her dream. At first she ignored it but it rang continually and disturbed her sleep. She managed to walk up to the door to shoo whoever it is away but on getting there what she met was unexpected. She opened the door only for a man to fall head first into her apartment which scared the shit out of her. She wanted to scream but upon recognizing the body lying before her she forgot how it's done and immediately rushed to him, checking to see if he was alright.

"Yo-han it's too late, what are you doing here?" She slowly helped him stand on his feet. He couldn't stand firmly on his feet and fell on her the moment she helped him up. She then realised that he is only half conscious and helped him move to the couch.

As she took each step towards the couch, she remembered the events that happened earlier today, how she cried over him and now here he is inside her space. Just his presence alone soothed her and she felt a bit of peace. She was reminded of how they used to stay close when they were younger and particularly there everyday after school activities resurfaced. With this thoughts how would she not smile?.

She gently placed him on the couch and sat beside him. Staring at no place in particular. She just felt like it was a dream. She'd secretly wanted to stay so close to him and unexpectedly he came to her. Though she always tried acting as though he is irrelevant, she knew from the bottom of her heart what it is she wanted. It's only because of his sudden waywardness that she wanted nothing to do with him anymore.

With a speed faster than that of light, she backed away from him once she remembered the antipathy between them.

"You live just a few floors above, why did you stop here?" Dan-Bi asked in a less friendly tone this time but she received no reply. She took a second look at him and then she noticed the wounds on his neck. She couldn't see all over his body but she knew he had more wounds on him. "Hey, you should be in the hospital, not here" she said again, disguising her concern as being defensive and intolerant.

Yo-Han slowly opened his eyes to take a glance at her and a smile crept up his face. Even in his current state, his smile is still as bewitching as ever. He shut his eyes close before replying, "Where does it look like I am coming from?"

She furrow her brows in annoyance at his reply but sooner she realized that he had on Hospital pyjamas under his coat. She sighed in understanding and asked again, " Why did you leave if you are still injured like this, and how did you even get this injured?, rough play?", She wanted to say more, she wanted if he was caught fornicating with someone's wife and the Master injured him like this. She wanted to say more but she decided to be reserved. It would be too ridiculous and unbearable to her that the man she loved most was caught in such situation.

Yo-han gritted his teeth as he eyed her, he wanted to flick her forehead and ask her if she thinks he is a kid but he was too lazy to do that, after all he is already worn out and only has a few more minutes before he passes out. To answer her he said, "What?, Are you scared that I will do something to you?" He scoffed and continued, " You and I have been best friends since high school and you know that I have rejected your feelings a countless times. You also know that I have someone I've loved even before I met you. It just so happens that she suddenly doesn't want to see me anymore. Even with my heart messed up like that, I wouldn't do any such thing to you, okay?,... and Uh, you will speak nothing about this to no one right?, I can only tell you since you are my best friend... and also....as for why I came here, I only need refuge, I can only come here because those who did this to me must not find me. They planted a tracker on me and they would have traced me down to the hospital, I had to leave so that they wouldn't find me." He managed to explain before he passed out a while later.

He had received some injections at the hospital, injections that would restabilised him but due to his journey here, he had worn himself out and he needed to rest even if it's forcefully.

Dan-Bi left him to rest since she noticed his current situation wasn't so good. But it took a while before she slept again.

The next morning the first thing Dan-bi and No-Eul did was to inform Na-Gil of Yo-Han's presence and in no time Na-Gil rushed over to meet him. When he arrived Yo-han was already conscious but asleep. He must have really been worn out from the torture.

Na-Gil turned to Dan-Bi, "Sorry for inconveniencing you. I need to ask, was he conscious when he came yesterday. Did he act strangely?"

"He didn't act strangely, he was himself." Dan-Bi lied. Though he was himself, his words were inaccurate. She stayed up late thinking of how he referred to her as his best friend, how he had rejected all her advances and who he meant when he mentioned his girlfriend who doesn't want to see him for no reason. That was her but he took her for someone else, how is that not strange?, But how can she explain that to Na-Gil, it's a private issue and something painful at that.

Na-Gil thought for a few seconds before saying to her, "Dan-Bi, the doctor told me he might suffer memory loss, nightmares and a long term insomnia. It is probably the sedatives given to him that induced his calm sleep. I wanted to know if there are signs of memory loss but I think it's obvious that he remembered you since he came here." He sighed and continued, " We came here for Business but this evil befell on us, I am sure you wouldn't want the details... Hmm, I heard you're returning to Country S today, I would send him over with you, please watch him and make sure the first place he visits is the hospital. I still have business to finish here." He took out Yo-Han's immigration documents and ticket and handed them over to Dan-Bi.

Dan-Bi wanted to reject this babysitting but Na-Gil was to quick with his actions, the next second he said, "I assigned bodyguards in disguise, yours and his safety is guaranteed. Take care of him. I will leave now." he then turned around and left.
