Hide and seek -I

By the time Kim Hyun-Jun came out, he came back with a bunch of keys. What he did to the guards and how he secured the keys without a scratch on him, no one knows.

Behind him was a very young lady who dressed like one of the guards, she had blood spills on her dress as she escorted Kim Hyun-Jun back to the dungeon. "CEO Kim, you are not safe here, the old man will be here in no time, you have to leave now."

"Soo-Jin, I can't leave without my son. Don't worry about me, just protect him with your life." Kim Hyun-Jun commanded. He went into the dungeon and unlocked the shackles around Yo-Han's hands and feet while the young man slumped to the ground. The lady called Soo-Jin immediately picked Yo-han on her back and headed for the exit. The three of them sneaked their way out of the dungeon and found a way out of the dark basement. In order to escape unnoticed, they had to navigate through the mansion quietly to get to the backdoor.

They sneaked to the garden behind the mansion before heading towards the emergency exit. It turned out that the way to the exit was through a maze.

By the time they started trying to figure out the way, there were guards after them already with hungry wolves on their tail.

"Boss follow me, I am accustomed to this maze already." Soo-Jin said and immediately pulled Kim Hyun-Jun along with her as she maneuvered the maze until she got to the exit where someone was already waiting.

Jin Beom-Seok stood in front of them with a gun in his hands. He pointed the gun at Soo Jin and shot her leg. "You b*tch, I always thought something was off about you." Jin Beom-Seok said.

Soo-Jin had no choice but to fall on one knee as she couldn't hold Yo-Han's weight anymore. She ripped off one of her sleeves and tied it around her wounded leg as she groaned in pain.

She was distracted by her wound not to notice the gun pointed at the man resting on her back. The sound of another gunshot brought back her attention. She couldn't react as the next thing that happened left her horrified. Kim Hyun-Jun fell down in front of her with blood oozing out of his stomach.

For that split second, the smug and cocky look on Jin Beom-Seok's face dissolved to a sorrowful expression. He wanted to shoot Park Yo-han instead his foolish nephew took the bullet.

Seeing the blood gushing out of Kim Hyun-Jun's body, Soo-Jin turned violent immediately. She dropped Yo-han to the floor beside Kim Hyun-Jun and ran forward. Within a short time, she landed numerous kicks and fists on the old man, breaking his two arms in the process.

Now that the old man is immobile and unable to use his gun, she rushed back to Kim Hyun-Jun. "Boss, I will get you out now, if you put pressure, you will make it until we get to the hospital. I will take you now." She tried to lift Kim Hyun-Jun but he stopped her immediately. "Soo-Jin, leave me here, that man, he is my first son, take him with you. I promise you that I won't die here. Please protect him with your life." Seeing that she felt reluctant he continued, "His life is more important than mine, go, go now!!!" He yelled.

Soo-Jin immediately picked Yo-han up again and rushed out of the emergency exit.

The guards and the wolves arrived at the moment. They couldn't chase after Soo-Jin and Yo-han with the current state Jin Beom-Seok was in. They immediately called an ambulance and moved both men to the hospital.

"Mr Jin, thank you for dropping the case?, I will make sure to fulfill all my promises." Dae No-Eul said as she stood up and walked out of the villa. She was so tired from having to plead and discuss issues to solve the messes Dan-Bi created with the young man who happened to be a young rich heir. Thankfully, after a long discussion, the young man agreed to drop the lawsuit if certain conditions are met.

Dae No-Eul managed to carry herself to her car. Though she only sat and talked, she was exhausted like a construction worker. It must have been because of her long trip here.

She was just about to ignite the engine when she suddenly heard the sound of a gunshot and out of fear she sank below the dashboard. The first thing she did was check all over her body for scratches. Even though she felt no impact close to bullet hit, she still feared getting shot.

It was said that this city is a very peaceful one and rarely are there shooting incidents, at least not to the extent of shooting in broad daylight. If suddenly in an estate that boasts of its security, a gunshot is heard in daytime, isn't that trouble? 'What if an Hitman is after me?' That was her first thought. Moreover, the sound came from the mansion she just came out of. 'Oh!, or is their an assassination?, I shouldn't witness this!'

She slowly raised her heard, scanned around to see if she was safe but the next moment, another gun sound echoed in her ears. She froze immediately without knowing what to do. Out of fright, she remained glued to her seat while making no move. Tears traveled down her face and the horrified look on her face would give one the notion that she was once a victim at a war scene that just the sounds of gunshots could destabilize her. She looked traumatized.

Suddenly, she heard a knock on the car window which jolted her back to the present. There was a gun pointed at her by a lady who had a wounded young man resting on her for support.

"Get off!!!" Soo-Jin said. She went to the back seat and placed Yo-han in after which she returned to the driver seat in an attempt to jack the car.

Still dumbfounded, No-Eul glanced back and forth, to the lady pointing a gun at her and the man in her back seat. She took a closer look and said. "Is that Yo-Han?!, Hey!! I know him."

Soo-Jin raised an eyebrow, she eyed No-Eul and asked, "Friend or foe?... What the... Just get off the car now!"

"I am a friend, get in I'll drive you." No-Eul replied immediately leaving Soo-Jin speechless. 'I am trying to jack a car here, this lady has no fear?'. She immediately got into the shotgun. "Move!!!" She yelled at No-Eul who immediately sped away.

It was already dark and the road was still quite busy. Dae No-Eul drives away from the estate but from there on she had no idea of the destination this fearless lady is taking Yo-Han. From the backseat she kept checking Yo-han who's eyes were closed but his chest rose and fell, depicting that he was still breathing. The scar on his chest almost took all her focus from the road as she scrutinized it.

Seeing how terribly wounded the young man is, she knew for sure that he must have been tortured and this woman must have saved him.

She turned her gaze to Soo-Jin who also had a wound on her leg. 'She must've been involved in that gun battle earlier.'

"Ms" No-Eul called but received no response from the lady. She called again and said, "Ms, you're wounded, are you going to the hospital?" Still no reply, No-Eul continued, "I just need to know where to drop you off."

"The hospital, the man is seriously injured where else will we be heading?" Soo-Jin replied at last, with a cold and unfriendly tone.

No-Eul quietly drove to the hospital and once she pulled over, she helped Soo-Jin move Yo-han into the hospital. A stretcher was brought over immediately to push Yo-han to the ER.

After waiting for a while the doctor came out of the emergency room where they waited. Soo-Jin immediately ran up to him to ask for Yo-Han's conditions. "Sir, how is he?"

The doctor felt skeptical about answering the lady who looked like a gangster, he then asked. "Who are you and who are you asking about?"

"The young man who had several wounds on him, I am here for him." Soo-Jin replied immediately but still the doctor did not want to say anything to her. He asked her again. "What's your relationship with him?"

"Well, er, I am just a good Samaritan. I have no relationship with him, but she" Soo-Jin pointed to No-Eul who is approaching, " she is his friend."

"Yes, I am his friend." No-Eul replied immediately. The doctor turned to her instead and asked, "Do you know any of his relatives, can you contact anyone of them, or someone really close to him?"

No-Eul sighed in frustration before replying, "Non of his family members are here, he came her on a business trip, I coincidentally met him here, but his aide..." She was explaining when Na-Gil's voice was heard in the hallway, "I am here, I am his personal assistant, I have consent to his medical decisions." And he handed the doctor his business card.

The doctor then focused on Na-Gil and said. "Since you are the closest to him, I would rather explain his situation to you. Follow me. " He said and headed for his office.

"Thank you." Na-Gil said to Soo-Jin and No-Eul before following the doctor.

Inside Jin Beom-Seok's ward in another Hospital, in his confined state, he could not take his mind off Yo-Han's escape and Kim Hyun-Jun's injury, not because he cared but because of the way Seung-Heon just threatened him over the phone.

It's not as if he doesn't want to finish Yo-han for his Ally's sake but Kim Hyun-Jun had just let the young man slip away. Also Kim Hyun-Jun has to stay alive in other for his plans to be work out for him.

This is what he had in mind throughout the times the doctors checked on him. Immediately they left, he called for his right hand man immediately. Once that one arrived, he gave his command, "Find that boy now. He must not get out of the country. I want him at the base before nightfall."
