Without the need of his warning, Adori and Liu Guanyi had long already sensed the creature. However, since they didn't really care about a measly Shinheuh and wanted to know how skilled the scout really was, they didn't say anything about it.

It seemed that he wasn't lying about it, but Xin was still better as he had sensed it a few seconds before him.

Seeing that it was noticed, the creature or rather, the creatures approached closer as their figures became observable.

They were big wolves, reaching one meter in height, with brown fur. Their eyes were green as each of them glinted with intelligence. Their numbers were around a dozen as they spread evenly to circle them for every direction.

"These are the Green-eyed sand wolves, a pack of fierce and intelligent creatures that always hunt in the night. They were extremely efficient hunters that hunt with precision and silence. Like a grim reaper, they silently surround, outnumber, and kill their prey before they even see it coming." Theo quickly explained as he drew his needle.

Theo smiled and spoke. "Fortunately, I manage to notice them before they have an even more reinforcement. Now what we need is to be calm and focus our firepower on a single point to breakthrough from th-"

Before Adori stepped forward with her sword withdrawn and casually drew a slash.

Like the majestic sun had returned for a second to illuminate the desert, a bright flash of white struck and enveloped the area before it instantly disappeared.

Looking at what happened in front of him with a slack-jawed expression and incredulity, Theo couldn't believe his eyes as he had just witnessed that the pack of the ferocious wolves had suddenly vanished into nothingness!

Not just cut into pieces but had vanished altogether!

Seeing what had just transpired in horror, the rest of the wolves whimpered as they quickly turned back and ran from the area with their tails between their legs.

They couldn't fathom what just happened but they understood one thing, the humans were incredibly dangerous!

Theo stood up on the spot motionlessly as he still couldn't believe what just happened.

"Don't just stand there like a fool and do what you're hired to do." Adori coldly spoke as she sheathed her sword, breaking him out of his trance.

"A-alright, your highness!" Theo quickly responded as he spoke with a stammer and quickly began to walk again at a faster pace.

Seeing this, Xin had a giggle while Liu Guanyi only smirked, it seemed that he had never seen such a trivial occurrence in their day.

Looking back at the sword-wielding princess while he was jogging, Theo didn't expect that she would be this strong at all. Even though he had heard about the rumors, he thought that the rumors were just, well… rumors.

Theo frowned, if she was this strong, things started to look not good at all. He didn't join the plan to deal with this, this was far out of his expectation. If they managed to find out something that concerned his involvement in the plan, it would absolutely not going to end well for him.

Adori Zahard was still a princess of Zahard, if his involvement was leaked, he could suffer a backlash from the party that backed her. Moreover, if she decided to take revenge on him he would be powerless to resist at all. Hence, the plan was too risky.

However, the reward was too tempting. If he managed to stay unknown or escape afterward… it would be too much of a pity to pass up such a good opportunity.

As Theo was mulling over his thoughts and having a heated inner struggle while leading them, Liu Guanyi touched his chin as he looked at him and observed every detail of his action thoughtfully.

. . . . .

"Here we are, there should be some of them around here." Theo declared as looked to the ground with his head tilted downward.

He crouched down and used shinsu to expel the sand that covered the ground. As the sand was cleared, a big gaping hole that stretched far into the depths could be seen. It was around two meters in width, a moderate size according to what the scout had described.

"It's quite big so it's likely that we can reach the underground network with this. Now, who is gonna go first?" Asked Theo.

"Let me, but you need to stay behind me at all times to show me the way." Said Liu Guanyi as Theo nodded in agreement.

Liu Guanyi stepped forward and let himself fall into the hole as the gravity pulled his body and he felt the wind resistance against his body, blowing his hair up.

As he descended into the sandpit, the surrounding started to become darker and darker as he went deeper into the underground far from the surface.

With his eyesight, however, he could still see very clearly as he saw the sandpit was about to end just right in the corner. He exited the sandpit as he found himself in a big underground space.

Liu Guanyi somersaulted many times in midair to break the momentum and landed gracefully on the hard ground without creating any destruction, showing his masterful martial skill.

Soon, his companions arrived as well, as Adori used her sword to slow her descent while Xin and Theo used their hands to grab the wall of the sandpit.

Looking at the dark surrounding, Liu Guanyi found himself in a vast space hundreds of meters wide and tens of meters high filled with rocks and many other materials that he didn't understand, nor that he really cared though since none of these were Suspendium.

"So, this is the underground tunnel?" Adori spoke as she tried to sense the environment using her shinsu sensing ability.

"Yes, your highness, it's quite beautiful, isn't it?" Theo said with a smile as he took out his observer to light up the pitch-black environment.
