ch. 4 bandits

(AN: this story will have a few arcs and will go along the cannon timeline with a few changes till around nagato's attack on konoha. Also for the training arc pretty much all of it will be my ideas since it was skipped over during the manga and anime.)

*groan*

"Dammit sis, ero-sennin do you have to hit so hard." Grumbled Naruto as he woke up.

Letting out a giggle yugao smiled down at Naruto. "Of course we did you want to survive don't you, and what doesn't kill you makes you stronger."

"Sadist." Naruto but back only to get slapped on the back of the head.

"Don't be mean, now Jiraiya-Sama has left to go check up on some stuff. He gave us a mission to accomplish in the meantime." Yugao stated as she tossed a scroll at Naruto. "It's a simple B-rank just some bandits and a group of four chunin level missing nin. Your chunin level yourself now so just going off the rudimentary knowledge you have right now what's your plan?"

"Separate the chunin, let my clones deal with the cannon fodder, release the prisoners, than finish the chunin one by one." Naruto answered after a minute of thinking.

Nodding her head yugao replied after taking out another scroll "good, now here's a map, figure it out." After that she vanished in a body flicker.

Sighing Naruto got up and packed his stuff into storage scrolls.taking out his map he spoke to himself "Alright now to chi village."

*three days later*

Looking at his map than a mountain in the distance Naruto pin pointed the village he was supposed to go to. Launching himself in that direction he saw a smoke cloud and started smelling a fire. Narrowing his eyes he launched himself forward.

Nearing the village the smoke and smell of burnt flesh only got stronger making Naruto grit his teeth and push himself to move faster.

After arriving at the village Naruto stared wide eyed at what remained of the village. What once was a prosperous small village of a hundred or so people is now nothing but a pile of burning wood and ash. Bodies of men, women and children were strewn across the streets. Gazes filled with horror and fear forever etched onto their faces.

Seeing this Naruto started to shake filled with rage and regret that he didn't get here sooner. 'This happened only hours ago if I got here sooner.' He thought while slamming his fist on the tree next to him causing the part of the tree he hit to explode toppling the tree. As a burst of bubbly and corrosive chakra leaked out his eyes turned crimson and his pupils turned to slits. Blinking Naruto found himself in a sewer. 'Hug this place again.' He thought looking around.

"Oh so my Kaily has decided to visit me." A low menacing voice echoed through his mind.

Turning around Naruto saw the kyuubi laying down behind large red bars with one beady red eye staring at him. "Huh oh sup fox, and this was an accident so you can go back to sleep." Naruto replied unconcerned

"Oh you don't fear me anymore." The kyuubi questioned.

"No but since you wanna talk I have a proposal." Naruto stated and seeing the fox raise an eyebrow he continued "I read dads journal on the seal. If you lend me a bit of chakra in my times of need I'll tear off a bit of the seal so you can feel the outside world through my senses."

Narrowing his eye the kyuubi stayed silent for a few seconds before speaking "very well, I agree to this proposal. Now hurry up your presence annoys me."

Snorting Naruto tore off about a finger nails worth of the seal and stepped back "ya ya alright see ya later cranky fox." Naruto smiled and spoke before disappearing.

"Damm brat sounds just like Asura, dammit pops your sons are always causing me problems." The kyuubi mumbled before closing its eye.

Opening his eyes Naruto noticed he was covered in the kyuubi's chakra. Forcing himself to calm down he took a few deep breaths before talking to himself. "Alright I need to find these fucking bandits and slaughter them." Any and all mercy, or hesitation he felt for the bandits was purged from his mind as he went to work.

Up in the trees yugao had a small sad smile while thinking 'sorry Naruto but you need to grow up, because the world nor your enemies will wait for you to do so.' Than she disappeared into the tree line following Naruto's path but not before recalling that even after the kyuubi chakra shroud was surpassed his eyes were still those of the kyuubi's.

As Naruto followed the tracks of around 30 bandits he felt that he could feel more than usual. He was smelling things that he wouldn't normally perceive, as well as seeing everything in a finer detail. He could also hear faint sounds that he wouldn't normally hear. 'The hell is this?' He thought not expecting an answer.

'That's me brat since our senses are connected now I enhanced them.' The kyuubi spoke out.

'You can talk to me telepathically now, and thanks?' Naruto questioned

Huffing the kyuubi replied 'yes, I was going to sleep but than I heard your thoughts and felt your bloodlust. So I decided to entertain myself by watching this blood bath.'

'I don't like this but after seeing what they did I just can't let them go. If I do than that's just another village they'll pillage.' Naruto replied while looking down.

After a few seconds the kyuubi snorted and replied 'well at least your not the same idiot you were before that cursed Uchiha defected.' Before going silent and cutting the link. After that Naruto decided he could think later and act now.

As time passed and the sun fell Naruto smelt alcohol, fire, and meat cooking. 'Huh must be here.' He thought while heading towards the smell. Hearing the faint noises of yelling and jeering Naruto headed to the top of a tree that overlooked a clearing. Within the clearing was about dozen tents with the one in the center the biggest. He also saw plenty of men and women happily drinking and eating near camp fiires. Looking off to the side he saw two bandits and a woman with a scratch headband guarding a cage with some other women children in it. Narrowing his eyes Naruto noticed 'huh they're not to harmed and there's about 20 of them.'

'Slavers.' The kyuubi replied reconnecting the telepathic link.

'Huh?' Was Naruto reply

Sighing the kyuubi explained 'slavers wouldn't harm the merchandise. Untainted and undammaged women and children would sell for more on the black market.'

'Oh I see, wait how do you know all this?' Naruto questioned

'I was sealed within two Uzumaki women. They wouldn't sit around all day in the village especially when they're husbands were hokage's that couldn't keep them entertained so they took out their frustrations on bandits and missing ninja. They also often targeted black market slave auctions.' The kyuubi replied

Smiling a little Naruto asked 'so was my mom a badass?'

'For a human she was good but not as strong as Mito, that woman was on the edge of super cage while in her prime.' The kyuubi replied

'Oh is that a bit of pride?' Naruto asked bewildered.

'Of course, since we tailed beasts can't exactly change our situation we have to show our strength and superiority through our hosts.' The kyuubi explained. 'The stronger you are the more feared I become.'

'Hmm I see, well than I'm sorry to disappoint you but the elemental nations are pretty stable right now so we won't be getting much fame.' Naruto replied

Snorting in a derisive tone the kyuubi stated 'no you humans will start a war for no reason all it takes is an excuse.'

'Alright we'll talk politics later now let's get to the mission.' Naruto grumbled before looking back at the camp. 'Hmm one chunin guarding the slaves, another two are partying…..ah there's the last on patrol with a squad of bandits.' Letting out a sadistic smirk Naruto's red melovent eyes hardened as a cold look crossed his eyes.
