Not Natural

"Very well, leave these people to us for now and check on the others."

If the leader of the town insisted on staying awake then he couldn't force him to rest. "Let's see if this group can actually do something now." Aeon's job coming here was to watch over them and nothing else. He had interfered a little bit because of necessity but they were on their own now. Silently he walked to the wall as he watched over the four of them. There wasn't much of a need for him to hide anymore now that they knew about him.

"Please help them."

With some pain in his voice the man who was dressed in normal clothing walked away. "Not much of a presence." Without Aeon calling him out as the leader Xilo probably wouldn't have been able to figure that out himself. "He's just so...plain." That was probably the best way Xilo could think of to describe the man. "Hopefully we can help them." Signaling to Tearia he let her begin going to work as the three of them watched over her. This wasn't any of their specialties so it was all up to Tearia now.

"Hey Xilo, you sense their Astral Energy fading as well right?"

"Yeah, It might be faint but it's vanishing. I've never heard of this happening before though."

"hmmm."

Shutting out all the noise around her, Tearia concentrated as much as possible. She had always been taught medicine by her Grandmother however she never actually had to use any of that information. Now though she was standing in front of a town full of sick people that she didn't know how to help. Grabbing one of the woman's hands nearby that was resting she made sure she was safe herself as she felt the woman's shallow breathing. "Deep breaths Tearia." Sending a little of her own Astral Energy in her body she began her examination.

"Let's see if I can figure out what's wrong with you."

Doing this would allow her to get a closer look at things and help her spot anything strange. "Seems...no." Feeling her energy sapped from her, Tearia panicked as she pulled back for a quick second. "What just happened." She didn't even get that far with her energy before she felt like she was losing grip of it. She had noticed their energy draining at the first sight of them however she didn't think it would attack her as well. "I can't remember Grandmother ever mentioning a sickness that did this." She had heard so much from her and also forgotten a lot too but she was positive there had never been something like this mentioned.

"At least Naturally..."

Which meant this was a brand new disease altogether or that someone had purposefully caused this. "Don't jump to conclusions." Taking another deep breath Tearia tried to steady herself as she tried again. She wasn't going to be any help to anyone if she was panicking. Searching through their body she didn't jump away when that suction came this time and instead used more energy as she went further down the line. "This seems familiar." Checking their blood and energy that was still around Tearia tried to remember everything she could about things that took away Astral Energy. There wasn't many things in the world that could do it which helped but it was still more then one would expect."

"....Liquid, Slow, weak power, noticeable....isn't this Lezal then?"

Checking over another she spent an half an hour checking everyone in the room that was sick before she stopped.

"All of them are the same..."

Withdrawing her energy from the last person in the room she let it be taken as she exhaled and turned to the others. Calling them over she pointed to Aeon as well to make sure he heard this. "It's fixable but...." Sighing, she frowned and grabbed all of their attention. She still wasn't confident with herself and her skills but her Grandmother's words were something she would never doubt when it came to medicine. So Tearia would follow her instincts and believe in them and her Grandmother.

"So what did you find out, Tearia?"

Seeing her tense up a bit, Xilo started it off.

"I checked over all of them and in doing so I noticed the same things in all of them. It's hard to say this but I don't think their sickness is Natural. I think they've been poisoned by someone."

""""Huh?""""

"Someone deliberately poisoned these people. I found traces of a plant that my Grandmother Called Lezal, It drains people of their Astral Energy fairly slow and is used to help with overflow of energy a lot of times. In this case though it seems people have probably combined it with other things and latched it onto these people. I don't really know how but it is curable at least. Just it might be a little hard to do so."

Hearing Tearia's explanation Xilo and the others were shocked. Even Aeon who had been listening in from the side was shocked as well. "They were attacked...." Processing that in his head his face went tense as he thought about it. That changed a lot of things if that was the true and brought up a lot more problems. "Who would attack them though." That was the part he couldn't figure out however this was only if Tearia's words held truth in them but he doubted she was lying.

"Girl, you know what you're implying if your words are true correct?"

"Yes, I know full well what this means for this city. These people were set up by someone. You would probably have a better answer to that then us though."

Tearia knew Aeon might have a hard time believing just her words alone but she was telling the truth.

"I'm going to need to ask you to prove it then. I'm sure you don't mind."

"I can try my best, If we can get another person in the medical field here though it would be easier."

"Give me a minute, I'll call someone and bring the doctors from the city here too."

leaving it at that, Aeon left the room.

Enjoy.
