Astral Fire

"Nice, This room was a nice find."

"It really was, how about you though? Find anything you like?"

"Yup, look!"

Raising her left hand she showed him a purple chain that covered her wrist and a part of her arm with a small metal rod that dangled below her wrist. She had thought about shoving it into her necklace to keep safe but she had accidently turned it into this in the process. "I guess it's a built in function for travelling." Regardless though it worked for her and it was super cute so she didn't mind wearing it around.

"At?"

"This, silly."

Pumping some Astral Energy into it she watched as it expanded back into the scythe she had before and showed off to Xilo. "Xilo's is probably similar." looking at the scythe that had similarities to his weapon he just found he wasn't too surprised. "Probably a couple more in here like it." Though he was curious how she got it so small. It was something he would like to do as well. Lugging around a sword like this on his hips everywhere didn't really sound fun.

"Ravenous eh, How'd you make it small like that?"

"Just use some astral energy and think about making it disappear. It should do the rest itself."

Listening to Tearia he tried to do the same as he felt it begin to disappear from his hands. Watching it vanish he looked towards his wrist for something similar but it wasn't there. instead he felt a faint chill come across his neck as he looked down to see a tiny red chain wrapped around his neck with a mini version of the sword dangling from it. "Hmmm...Coulda been something different but this works." He didn't really care for necklaces himself but it was good enough. He would get used to it over time as he saw it more.

"Oh I think that suits you."

"Maybe, I don't really know myself. Anyway is there anything else in this room we might want?"

"Yeah I think I saw a couple more weapons similar to these lying around."

"Can you grab and store them for later? Oh and maybe take a few of the normal weapons as well. Who knows if we'll ever need them but they're good to have."

"Sure give me a minute."

leaving it Tearia he turned around and walked out of the hall to keep a watch on things while he waited. "Still no one here yet...It's weird." He had thought for sure the Wolves would have already shown themselves by now but there was no sign of them or others. "Something isn't right..." What that something was though is what confused him the most. There was a lot of possibilities of what could have happened yet none of them were in his favour.

"Best to be ready for anything."

Looking at the set of steps he heard the sound of Tearia's footsteps as he relaxed his body.

"I grabbed as much as I thought needed, ready?"

"Yea let's check out the next floor now. Hopefully it'll have more things like this."

The more help he could get for combat the better even if it was something small. It was a power boost and it was something he needed a lot currently. He had the Wolf Weavers hunting him and he even had Althea now joining in that hunt and he couldn't deal with either by himself. Walking up the stairs he had those thoughts run through his head as he felt something touch his hand. Feeling Tearia hold his hand he began to pull away but quickly stopped himself and just let it be. Instead he chose to take comfort in it like Tearia was doing herself as they went around the spiral.

Hearing more clanking on metal already Xilo had a guess as to what was coming but he was a lot more confident this time. They both had new toys to try out and a lot more knowledge of these things now. It shouldn't be much trouble besides a slight annoyance like before. Gripping his necklace with his free hand he prepared himself as he turned the corner to face a similar knight to before with more statues. Seeing Xilo get ready for a fight Tearia did the same as they walked into a room that went against her expectations.

"That's...one huge Astral Crystal."

Standing in the middle of the room was a red crystal that lit up the entire room with one of those knights standing before it. "Another guard." Rolling her eyes she let go of Xilo's hand reluctantly as she gripped her chain, summoning Ravenous. "Let's see how feisty you are now." She didn't know how strong these weapons were or how much energy they would take to use so now was the time to find out.

"I'm guessing you want the first attack again right Tearia?"

"For sure."

Smiling she pumped some Astral Energy into Ravenous as sparks came to life as she charged just like before. With full confidence she appeared in front of it as fast as she could as she lifted her left arm and slashed down at it. Waiting for the impact she really hoped it wouldn't just bounce off again this time. "It actually had time to block?" Watching its sword come up to meet her she was surprised as their two blades clashed however she never expected what happened next.

*Clask*

Feeling both of their weapons collide she witnessed her blade cut the Knight's sword in half within a couple seconds as it smashed into its arm poking a hole into it as well.

"One sharp blade."

That only made her smile grow wider though as she tore into it. Feeling its metal arm tear into pieces, it backed off as Tearia pressed forward harder. It wanted to run from her and she wasn't going to let it. At this rate she wouldn't even need Xilo's help for this fight and that made her extremely happy on the inside.

"I can do this."

Slashing once more she saw it's arm fall to the ground as she disabled its fighting ability even more.

Enjoy.
