Chapter 1 Beginning

"Hey, you guys haven't seen our new Alpha, right? I think I have."

 A muffled scream was heard then followed by another whisper, "Aah, is it true? Is he as brave as the rumors say?"

The girl next to her nodded. Her eyes also seemed to be sparkling. "Yes, that's right. Even looking at him from afar, Alpha really stands out among his troops. Oh, my gosh! I think I'm going to die of Alpha Kilian's charm. He's really handsome no matter the rumors that he's a little cruel."

 Then, the conversation was followed by flirtatious laughter from the four gossiping omegas. They really sounded like they were enjoying the conversation.

 On one side, another omega not far from them, snorted with a sour face because she was disturbed by the noise. "Pathetic," she muttered, then crouched down among the bushes. Not without reason, because this is her job.

 If the four noisy omegas there are omegas assigned as cleaning maids, then this girl is an omega who works in the pharmaceutical field. Her job was clearly to look for medicinal plants even though she had to squat under a bush.

 Like now, she was trying to look for something among the bushes of the palace garden hoping to find a rare plant, but didn't expect to hear the unimportant chatter of the omegas behind her.

 "Hey, wait, did I see wrong, the bush over there is shaking?"

 Omega with a freckled face started to tremble. She turned around to look for the bush in question then shuddered as she said, "Ah, don't scare us. What are you doing?"

 The first omega shook her head. "No, I'm sure I saw it." It seemed this omega was brave enough to step closer. "I'll check," she said.

 Until finally they screamed loudly, "Kyaaa!! Monster!!" Just at the same time a figure full of twigs appeared from under the bush.

 But the next second, the four omegas fell silent, blinked their eyes for a moment as they studied the terrifying figure in front of them and then shouted in annoyance, "REA! WHAT ARE YOU DOING THERE?!"

 The omega girl named Rea immediately blew her nose, while throwing away the twigs and remaining leaves in her hair and clothes. With a calm face she said, "Ah, sorry, I was just looking for medicinal herbs."

 "Damn! You scared us!" She turned around. "Let's go!" said the freckled omega and then invited her friends to leave the back garden.

 "Never mind, just leave it alone, she is known to be strange," said another before finally the backs of the four girls disappeared behind the walls of the palace building.

 Rea, on the other hand, shrugged unconcernedly. She chose to continue her search into the next bush.

 Rosemoond Pack, one of the largest wolf kingdoms on the plains of Immortal Land with a record of ruthlessness in facing rogues who want to attack their borders. It is merciless because along the border line, thousands of enemy skulls are displayed as if to intimidate opponents.

 It's just that, a few months ago, the inauguration party for the replacement of the previous alpha with the new alpha was held with great fanfare at the royal palace.

 However, not enough people know about their new alpha—Kilian Benard—who is now abuzz with rumors of his good looks and his skill in pampering beautiful women in bed.

 Based on these rumors, it was clear that Alpha Kilian was the opposite of his father—Alpha Antoni Benard—who was cold and rigid. However, there are many other rumors circulating that his father's cruel and sadistic nature is still being passed on to his son. Alpha Antoni doesn't even care about his son's attitude of playing with women.

 After all, it is not taboo for wolves to play around before finding their mate. Moreover, Kilian is an Alpha Rosemoond Pack, three of one of the strongest packs standing in Immortal Land.

 While the palace is still abuzz about the figure of the alpha—Rea—an omega who works in the pharmaceutical sector doesn't seem to care about the hottest buzz in recent months. Perhaps, the only thing that would distract her was what plants she would get today.

 "I don't think I'll get anything if I just search around the palace." Rea muttered as she sat on the flat, manicured grass.

 A pair of her green eyes stared at the dark forest at the other end, imagining what plants were in it. This forest is usually called Black Wood because it always looks dark and mysterious.

 In fact, the head of medicine forbade her from setting foot in that place before she passed the Rosemoond Pack's medicine seeker qualifications.

 "Don't you ever go there, Rea." The scary face of the head of medicine suddenly appeared in Rea's memory. "If you violate before your graduation, then I will expel you in this field and transfer you to a cleaning maid." Rea suddenly shuddered again.

 "It seems like the Head of Medicine is much scarier than the rumored Alpha," she said again.

 "How could we be short of one person? You think going four to the Black Wood is easy?" Rea turned her head as she moved to a bush, hiding there while observing the four young men who had just arrived in the garden behind the palace. Rea knows them as seniors in the field of pack medicine.

 "But, he suddenly disappeared," said another, his face looking frightened as he looked at their group leader.

 Rea suspects that they were assigned to look for medicinal plants in the Black Wood forest, but the lack of members, which should have been five, has now become four. Rea smiled mysteriously when she saw the frustrated expression their leader showed as if his life was about to end.

 "So, what now? This is our chance to find a rare plant and get a promotion." The chairman ruffled his hair. "I can't let this opportunity go to waste."

 And ... this is the time when Rea appears. "How about you guys invite me?" The girl suddenly came between them.

 The four young men turned their heads together while shrieking, "REA!"

 Honestly, there is no one who doesn't know Rea's figure among omegas from any field. A strange girl who is fearless and only likes to crawl under bushes with a shabby appearance. 

 The chairman squinted while looking at Rea carefully. "Are you sure you want to take part even if you haven't passed the qualifications?"

 Rea nodded firmly, but the other young man immediately elbowed their leader. "What are you doing? Don't invite this strange girl."

 Rea shrugged. "It's up to you. If you're afraid of being discovered by the Chief of Medicine, shouldn't you just cover it up. Just say you're borrowing another team member because it's too dangerous for the four of you to go."

 Even though there was great anger visible on the faces of each young man, on the one hand they really needed one more person. Even if you really had to borrow another team member, there was no time considering the sun was already at its peak. They are pressed.

 Sighing, the chairman grabbed Rea's arm as he shook hands with her. "Okay, I hope this collaboration runs smoothly," he said.

 On the other hand, Rea grinned.
