"Hey, wake up, Lucas! Wake up!" I heard.

Opening my eyes, I gazed upon the leaning face of Vivian.

"You're pretty," were the first words that came out of my mouth.

A slight blush on her face suddenly appeared and disappeared before she said, "If you have time to flirt, you should get up first, what happened here? Why did you leave us asleep?" she asked.

I sat up, groggily so, feeling as if the mother of all headaches was welcoming me in her bosom.

"Argh, my head is killing me…" I said as I barely was able to open both eyes this time.

"Damn, what's wrong with your right eye…" Sebastian said.

"Oh, yeah, don't look at it," I said as I covered it with my palm. "Vivian, check that corpse over there, there should be an item," I said as I pointed at the half corpse of the Dopplgagner we were hunting for.

Vivian got up and went to check on the sludge.

"There's a purple book here," she said.
