A Nobody's Riddle

"Pass me the blunt Ross."

"Yea,Yea here."

That euphoric feeling you get never feels old even if you do it everyday. For me I've been doing it for so long. It's not like I do it on my own though me, Ross, and Hugo. We've been living in a group home for the past 6 or so months but our Caregiver hasn't been around for the past four months so really we just live on our own. I'm happy living like this but the more I'm here the more it's like the more I feel I'm forgetting something. Well not that it should matter.

"Am I right, guys? Guys? Huh? Where did everyone go?"

I needed some fresh air anyways, so I headed outside walking around aimlessly. It was very cold. That's when I overheard a story, a very tragic story. There were however many unsolved mysteries in the story that could leave a bad taste in your mouth.

This is how the story went: Alice, a young teen girl came back home to her house after hanging out with friends only to find her mother dead. When police questioned how she found out she said after knocking on the door and ringing the bell repeatedly she decided to look through the icy windows because the lights were still on however she couldn't see a thing. And the windows that weren't icy were boarded up. So there was no way to tell what had happened but Alice figured out a way to see the room through breathing on the openings of the boarded windows.

There was a detective sitting on the bench who looked stumped, so I sat next to him and decided to be of service.

"You look pretty stuck right now." I said.

"And who might you be?'' The detective said.

"Just a guy passing by. I heard the story looks like you got quite the mystery on your hands I thought I might help."

"This case will be solved once we get the lock open but go ahead and enlighten me."

"I can't just give you the answer, you have to come to the conclusion on your own."

"You can give me a hint or something right?"

"I'll give you facts that are undeniable."

"Alright."

"Alice was 100% with her friends hanging out with her friends."

"So are you trying to eliminate Alice?"

"On to the second hint. Frozen glass freezes on both surfaces."

"I see."

"Third hi-."

"No,no that won't be needed. You opened my eyes, thanks. There is no way Alice can get a clear view from the room outside. It's virtually impossible to unfreeze iced glass by breathing."

"I wouldn't say that but you're basically on the right track."

"Thanks I'm Lamar by the way nice to meet you."

"I'm nobody special."

"I highly doubt it. You solved that case at light speed off of overhearing it."

"It's nothing, I just have a little experience."

"You were a detective? That makes sense, but why are you dressed like that?"

"Is this not normal?"

"It's normal for people who live outside. It's like you're trying to hide something, maybe you're the man of legend, the one who saves everyone and can solve anything."

"Would such a man live in a group home."

"No, I don't think the Ramage would live in a group home." He laughed.

"It's not that bad though I live with some friends and our caregiver left a while ago so it's basically our home."

"Hmm, I see, well why don't you show me."

"I don't mind."

I sobered up as we walked for a little while then we made it to the house.

"The other guys went out so just make yourself at home."

"Home? This is the quite literally the middle of nowhere."
