Zeus rubbed his forehead as he tuned out of Hera's ear-piercing lectures on the sanctity of marriage. It was never really understood as to why he had an uncontrollable desire to sleep around. He couldn't remember, but at the same time, he could care less.

Seeing him not listening as usual, she turned her attention to the nymph which caught his interest this time. Anger boiled within her and she vowed to make her pay. Cursing the nymph and sending her away, she sighed. Hera was honestly tired of everything. It was the same story repeatedly. Her anger would flare up once she catches him. She curses the women and lectures him. Then the cycle goes back to the start. She wanted to hurt him so much, but she couldn't do anything to him even if she wanted to. He was the king of the gods. She was powerless against him.

And even after all that he's done, she still loved him. She didn't know why, or how, but she does. And it's killing her. Whenever she looks at him, all she sees now is pain. And even if she acted strong, she can't take anymore. She had emotions, insecurities. What she wanted was for the person she loved to stay true and love her back.

She tried everything to keep him with her. She did all she could to make him stay with her. But looking back, she knew more than half(if not, all) of what she has done was wrong.

Sure, she agreed at first out of humiliation and anger. She knew feelings were out of the question. His track record clearly proved that.

So...why? Why did she have this emotion? This was just her pride getting hurt. She was probably going insane after years and years of the same problem. The ache in her chest when she saw him smiling toward the nymph earlier told her otherwise.

'Why did she stay? Because she's the goddess of marriage? Bullsh*t! Even mortal women who were divorced were protected under her. Why is she still with him? What's wrong with her? Why can't she leave? Why-'

The questions kept piling up. Her emotions kept changing from anger, confusion, sadness, frustration. She felt like she was about to explode.

The constant internal turmoil finally reached its peak. Tears started falling from her eyes subconsciously. And it wasn't until she saw Zeus reaching towards her that she knew she was crying. She moved away quickly. Everything needed to stop. She needed to stop.

Turning around she spoke, "Don't look for me."

Closing her eyes, she left.
