He looked at the purple-haired woman and said with a smile.
"You did well for a newbie, your teaching career will be smooth" he complimented.
"Thank you, Sir. Then what are we going to do about him now?" The woman asked in a worried tone. People like Alex were extremely rare, no, not extremely, they simply did not exist!
She had lied when she told Alex that there were others with similar cases but she knew very well that it was a lie. No one had ever awakened dual elements and lived for more than five seconds, the longest record was a minute before the kid exploded into blood mist.
Not only did Alex look like he was not feeling any discomfort after awakening, but he was still in one piece even though more than an hour had passed.
"There's nothing to do than to pray that he doesn't turn out like others, if he can persevere through the first year in the academy then the research faculty in the academy can study him in hopes of finding how he's still alive" The middle-aged man replied without a moment of hesitation as he stared at the entrance of the hall.
"Say, why don't you be in charge of his class for the first year? Having such students who are bound to move to the next class smoothly will give you a lot of bonus and benefits" the middle-aged man added, causing the woman with purple hair to stare at him in surprise.
" Isn't he going to be in the special class? Will I really be allowed to teach such geniuses?" The woman questioned in a disbelieving but anticipating tone.
After all, although she did not know how the new students were going to be arranged into the different classes of the academy, she was aware of different academies putting more focus on special students such as those with cosmos elements and peak grade talent. Not all with rare elements were able to enter the special class as this was also to avoid the pressure on those with lower talent grades becoming too much while at the same time taking priorities.
Taking Alex's case into consideration, the academy would be stupid if they did not add him to the special class.
Wouldn't that mean that she would be in charge of the first year of all these kids?
"What's that look on your face? Don't belittle yourself. You are also a genius yourself, being a mage king at the age of 60. And besides, those old maniacs are not willing to take their first year even if they are special, so see it as taking a job they don't want" the middle-aged man said to her before fading away like a shadow.
The purple-haired woman stared at the space where the man stood a while ago for a few seconds before suddenly clicking her tongue.
"Calling a woman's age so casually, no wonder you're still single," she said but her voice was not serious and one could tell that she was joking.
"Still, being in charge of the special class…not bad at all" she smiled to herself before leaving the hall as well.
...
Meanwhile, Alex had gone to look for the village head along with Vee after leaving the hall.
They easily found the old man after coming out of the hall. He was standing right where Alex had left him and since most of the students had already left with their parents, the place was less crowded so it was easy for both sides to spot each other.
"You kids finally came out, thought you weren't going to show up and just enter the academy directly," the village head said with a big laugh as the kids walked towards him.
"Sorry, we were held up inside and had to spend some minutes," Alex said while rubbing his nose.
"It's alright, good thing that you both awakened. You two can become buddies in the academy and look after each other. Oh, that reminds me" the village head said and turned to stare at Vee.
"Kid, what element did you awaken?" He asked.
"The lightning element!" Vee responded with his chest puffed out, he was extremely proud of his element. After all, it was a strong element.
"Ah, not bad. A rare category element, just like Alex. You two are even more matched to be brothers" The village head nodded in satisfaction and rubbed Vee's head. Since the kid did not have any adults accompanying him and he didn't have parents, he decided to play the role of a friendly uncle for him.
"That's right, guess what uncle? Alex awakened two elements! The ice element and healing element!" Vee suddenly said after being praised, he was acting like a senior brother boasting about his younger brother's achievement.
"Wh…what did you say?" The village head stared at Vee with strange eyes while picking his ear with his pinky finger.
'Did I mishear? I know I'm old but as a mage, I'm not old to the point of hearing things, right?' he thought inwardly while waiting for the white-haired kid to repeat what he just said
But what the kid said was the same as what he heard, Alex had awakened two elements!
The village head stared at Alex for a few seconds with wide eyes, unable to speak. Only after half a minute had passed did he manage to react.
'We made the right choice by bringing him here' the village head thought to himself because after finding out that not only did Alex awaken two elements but one was even the cosmos element which was rarely seen, he was extremely glad that they had not decided to just take him to a random academy.
After all, here at the Royal Magic Academy, not only will they have enough resources to train him, but they will also be able to protect him; evil forces will definitely try their all to get such a person to their side and on the note that they could not get them…they will do their all to make that person disappear!
"Good lad, everyone back in the village will be extremely delighted by this news. I can't wait to see their reactions, tks tks tks" the village head said with a mischievous grin on his face. He refrained from saying Alex's parents directly and instead used the whole Village so as not to place Vee in a strange mood.
