Ye Jin's eyes widened slightly, a flicker of curiosity in her eyes. "A chance?"
"Yes, a chance," Dion replied smoothly. He leaned back in his chair, fingers lightly twirling the black king from his chess set. "The Crown Prince's birthday is in a week. Normally, I wouldn't bother attending, or I'd go alone. But this time..." He paused, his gaze locking with hers. "You will accompany me as my partner."
Her eyes widened further, disbelief washing over her. Is he implying what I think he is?
"Yes," Dion interrupted her thoughts, as if reading them. "During the ball, you'll have the opportunity to sneak into the treasury and locate the mana crystal. That is if you truly want to confirm whether you hold mana."
"Though," Ythrael's voice slithered through the air with mocking amusement, "it would be quite disappointing if you don't."
