Sleep in his arms

"What were you thinking? How could you simply throw away the robe in the middle of our journey?" Alan smacked his forehead in distress when he looked at Rose. He had taken his human form while Rose was standing few inches away from him

At this moment, Rose was half-frozen, covered with a robe.

The only reason why she was half-frozen was the big sun shining brightly at the sky. The chilling wind had frozen her completely. Only after a short rest under the sun helped her. Slowly the ice around her started melting.

When she finally regained her freedom to move, her eyes turned teary as she looked at Alan. She knew it was her fault once again. But, she couldn't help but blame the system which still had the same screen panel in front of her.

[......… This is not a store. You can't bargain here.]

"It's alright. We all do some kinds of mistake." Alan sighed as he lifts his hand to pat her head. But suddenly, he stopped. He forgets that he has promised to not touch her. This happened many times and he didn't want to repeat I again and again.

But, suddenly Rose saw his intention. She smirked and raised her head to his palm. She turned her head down and muttered "You have broken your promises many times already. It doesn't matter. I just hope you won't force me to do anything that I don't want to."

Alan opened his mouth to say something but suddenly closed it with embarrassment. He thought for himself 'Damn! I can't even keep a single promise. How can I even think of making more?'

"So- how far are we from your palace?" After few seconds, Rose suddenly thought of something and blushed. She hurriedly left his hands and asked while walking ahead. She was wearing a robe. Just as she walked forwards, she realized they were currently on a hill.

She got frightened and stepped back.

"Come on! We still have a long journey ahead." Alan changed back to a wolf and tilts his head. Rose gulped down saliva and nods her head. After she climbs to his back, she tightly holds her robe as he sprints forward.

On the way,

"After we reach the palace, can I train with you?" Rose suddenly asked. She clenched her hand and mustered a lot of courage to ask this question. She bit her lips hoping to not get rejected.

"what? What? WHAT?" Alan got so shocked that he fell on his lower body. His legs trembled a little. Rose didn't understand why he was giving such a reaction but it made her truly curious.

'Oh god! Why does she want to train? Doesn't she know how harsh the training can be? Those weak bones, that soft and shiny skin, that thin muscle, how can she even think of training with that fragile body of her?'

'What if something happens to her? What if she gets hurt? What if she accidentally severely hurt herself? That would be worse. No, I stop her. I can't let her train.'

Alan slowly got in his feet and cleared his throat.

"I'm sorry, wife! But, I can't allow you to train." Alan spoke while picking up the pace.

"But, why not? I can train with my knives, you know?" Rose bit her lips so hard that it started bleeding. She felt frustrated and mad at Alan but she couldn't do anything that could damage him.

'Knives? Holy shit! I can't let her do that. What if she accidentally cuts her wrist? Blood loss! That could really kill a person. Yes, I must take away that knife of hers. I shouldn't let her cook as well...…'

'Ahh! She is professional. She can use the knife properly. Hmm! Maybe, I should give her knife training. That way she can handle her knife properly and won't hurt herself. But, I must make sure that she trains with me.'

'That way I can take care of her. Her life is important for ….. the tribe. I must keep her alive.' With a burning passion in his eyes, he vowed to protect her in his heart.

"Please Alan, Please, Please, let me train knives with you. It can help me with cooking. And, if my cooking improves, I can make delicious food for you." Hearing no reply from him, Rose kept asking again and again.

She had suffered that terrifying thundershock. She didn't want to suffer again. That's why she must make him agree.

"Alright, but you can only train with me. Not with others or alone, only me. If you agree, then I agree." Alan sighed after hearing her bickering.

"Huray" Just when Rose tried move lift her hand, she remembered the past incident. She hurriedly went back to the same position while shouting loud.

"Hush!" Alan sighed as he strode towards his tribe. After half an hour, they reached in front of a massive gate. Alan stood dozens of meters away and asked her to leave his back. He quickly transformed back to his human form.

Rose looked at him with surprise when he took out a flare from his pocket. He shot the orange flare at the sky. The next moment, he looked at Rose with a deep intention.

Rose didn't know why but she got chills on her back. She shuddered by his look as she tried to keep her eyes closed. He slowly reached out to her and whispered "You gave me permission for this. I hope you won't regret it."

"What?"

The moment his words reached her ears, he instantly picks her up in his arms. She got startled by his action as she shouts at his face. But, Alan doesn't show any reaction. He walks towards the gate. Rose was blushing red in his embrace.

Especially when she peaks at his god-like dashing face. She gets even more embarrassed by his hands around her but she couldn't say a word. She knew if she rejects this idea, he will immediately let her down.

But, deep down, she doesn't want to. She wants to be carried like this. She wants to fall into his embrace. She just wants to lay down in his arms.

And, sleep!

The moment Alan reached in front of the gate, he slowly turns his head down and stared at her.

'She...... she is sleeping.'
