Chapter 7

Camilla Sleh

By the end of lunch, my concern for Hazel just grew higher and higher.

"Hey baby..." The school slut, Linda, sat beside Jared and kissed him. Wait... SHE KISSED HIM! HELL NO!

"Ohhh.... Get a room, people." Someone from the group commented.

"Shut up, guys!" Linda scolded them. "Last night was the best, baby. "I didn't expect that." She spoke shyly.

"So... you were with her last night?" I asked Jared.

"Where else will he be?" Jack asked.

"Oh, I thought.. Opps! Sorry, I EXPECTED him to be somewhere else. Right, Jared?" I raised an eyebrow.

"No, he was with Linda yesterday. I dropped them off at his house yesterday." Clayton smiled. I stood up, annoyed, and started walking away from the table.

"Meet me in the grounds!" I whispered in Jared's ear before going out. He finally came after making me wait for almost an hour.

"What's the matter?" He asked, like nothing ever happened.

"WHERE THE HELL IS HAZEL?" I asked him.

If he lies, I'm handling him.

No, Snow; I can handle him. I told my wolf, who was ready to snap his head out.

Well, he might be the beta of the pack, but we have the Alpha's blood in us, and don't forget, we are special. His powers are literally zero in front of us.

I know Snow, and that's why I want to handle him. He might be annoying, but he is Hazel's mate. She doesn't deserve to lose a mate.

True that.

"I don't know." He answered.

"Okay.... Then, where were YOU last night?"

"You heard them! I was with Linda."

"Why?"

"What do you mean by why?"

"Oh, you very well know what I mean." I raged.

"Well, I don't know. I was with my girlfriend last night, and we made out. I'm also going to mark her tonight. Now, I have to go to my class. Bye!" His words annoyed me, and seeing that there was a chance, Snow took advantage of it and took control. She didn't fully shift, but her nails were out, and of course our eye colour would have changed. We started to have this weird aura around us. I tried telling her to stop, but she had completely blocked me away. She attacked him. I could feel her scratching him and all that. Someone pulled us away from him, and the next thing I knew, I was exhausted and sleepy. I fell asleep.

Hazel Sleh

I woke up feeling very hot. I saw some grey powder-like stuff around me; ignoring it, I touched my neck, and it was swollen. I still had a lot of pain in my neck, and right now all I needed was a shower. I went out of my house and took a deep breath. The fresh wind hit my nose, and I welcomed the chills spreading across my body as I dove into the river. It was dark; I seriously didn't know how long I was out for. But I'm sure it was not the same day.

I slowly washed my body, but the pain in my neck suddenly increased a little. I tried staying in water to subside the pain. After almost an hour, I decided to come out, get ready, and go to the pack house.

"WHERE THE HELL WERE YOU?" Jason, a warrior, asked.

"I... I.. I'm sorry. I was sick."

"Whatever, just go in and make dinner." He ordered, and I nodded in return, running inside the kitchen. As soon as the omegas saw me there, they left what they were doing and went.

Aghh... Can't they just tell me what they were doing?

I started tasting each of them and realised they were making rice with chicken and salad. I continued cooking for the next half an hour. After that, I cleaned the mess from last night's party, which was not yet cleaned.

"Hazel?!" I heard a familiar voice and turned around. "You are back? Where were you? Oh my god! I was so worried!" Camilla hugged me tightly.

"I'm fine, Camilla."

"You know what? Just reject that asshole! He is annoying!" She said, I nodded with a huge smile on my face. She is at least concerned about me. Well, there are many people who want me dead. "You know what? Let's tell the Alpha about this."

"Hell no! They wouldn't believe me." I objected.

"They will. Trust me!" She reassured me. I nodded my head, even though I was against it. I took a deep breath and collected myself, but all of it broke when I saw Jared walking with Linda. They were holding hands and were also very touchy. That broke my heart completely. I ran back to the kitchen and started to tear up.

I arranged the tables as everyone came in to eat. Serving was a tough thing, as my hands shivered every time I looked at them.

"Everyone... I have an announcement to make." Jared stood up. "Yesterday was a great day as Camilla got her wolf. But I have something to tell you all. I found my mate!" He earned a few gasps, and the chattering began. "Meet my mate, Linda." He announced as my eyes went wide at his words.

"WOHHHHH!"

"Congratulations!"

"Why didn't you mark her yet?" Cheers and questions came his way as they all laughed in joy.

"I have time for that, Mike!" He rolled his eyes before kissing her. The water jar fell off my hands as the pain shot up my body. I held his mark tightly, trying to soothe it.

"Someone's jealous!" Someone commented, making me want to run away from all of this. I walked into the kitchen and sat down near the cabinets while starting to cry, but I stopped as soon as I heard something shatter in the dining room. I ran back only to see Camilla being taken away from all of them.

"PUT HER IN THE DUNGEONS!" The Alpha screamed.

"Dad, it's not her who should be going to the dungeons, it's Hazel." Jack said. "She claimed to be Jared's mate. She even manipulated Camilla into believing her. Camilla is acting that way because of Hazel." He lied.

"HAZEL FUCKIN SLEH." The Alpha growled before coming towards me. I went back in fear of him. Yes! I'm scared of him... Very scared. "I HAD TO KILL YOU THAT DAY. I WAS JUST STUPID ENOUGH TO GIVE YOU AN OTHER CHANCE. NOW! I'M SHOWING YOU NO MERCY!" His wolf had taken over by the end of his sentence.

I started to run. All I wanted was to go away from all of them, all of this... So... I JUST RAN!
