Till Death Do Us Part

Hell's chambers were collapsing. The volcanoes were shooting lava like a waterfall. It swallowed the bloody hills and the entire floor.

Red, hot bricks were falling from Hell's walls into the ever-growing lava. It swallowed everything that came in its path.

Smoke rose into the air until the fogginess was all you could see. Lava flew all over Hell so it seemed that it was actually raining from the clouds.

Most of the demons had escaped in the chaos earlier. But those that hadn't, thrashed around as they burned alive in the lava. It was a gruesome sight as their skin blackened and charred to ashes.

Their faces were unrecognizable as all that was left behind were skulls and bones.

Samael watched from above as his domain sunk into nothing but smoke. He was angry at god and the angels.

But most importantly, he was angry at Azrael. His black, scaly wings flapped behind him while Beelzebub stood a little farther behind him.

Samael could smell his fear and it strengthened him.

He had no idea how long he flew there, but there was nothing left of Hell except lava.

Suddenly, Beelzebub's meek voice said from behind him, 'D-demon Master..'

He sparred him a glance, saying, 'What is it?'

'Náli.. ' Samael fully turned to look at Beelzebub at the mention of Azrael's daughter.

'Náli what?' He inquired.

Beelzebub was visibly sweating buckets and wouldn't meet Samael's eyes as he said, 'Náli fell into Limbo..'

The demon master blinked back in surprise, 'Fell?' He spits the word out as if it was something dirty.

Beelzebub looked down in regret, 'Yes, master.'

Samael laughed. He laughed so loud it echoed throughout Hell.

This was the best revision he could've asked for. Even though Azrael showed he didn't care about his daughter, Náli was his pride. Losing her was like losing a huge part of his image in Hell.

His laughter came to a stop, but he was still smiling evilly as he asked Beelzebub, 'Where's her body?'

Samael had a plan. He could use Náli's body for his own advantage, as leverage over Azrael.

But when Beelzebub didn't answer, he turned to look at him in annoyance. He raised an eyebrow at his tense expression.

'Master..,' He fiddled with his hands as he continued, 'Náli's body disappeared as she fell into the chasm.'

Samael's eyes flashed as his dark powers gathered around him. Beelzebub flinched and tried to protect himself from the demon master's dark powers.

The latter swept through Beelzebub's mind to see if he was lying, but it was true. His fire only burned brighter as he glared into the burning pits of Hell.

'Find her,' He ordered in a deep, dark voice. Beelzebub bowed and disappeared.

He worried for a second if the body had been burned in the lava. That was usually how most demons were buried.

It was likely Leviathan's son had done the same with Náli's body, but Samael hadn't seen anything of the sort in Beelzebub's mind.

He had to interrogate Kieran. He teleported using his dark powers in a swirl of darkness.

But the green-eyed boy was nowhere to be found. There were only dark slimy creatures splattered in puddles all over the ground and animal remains.

He could feel Leviathan's essence in the air, but the boy was nowhere to be found. Suddenly, his eyes landed on the entrance to Limbo.

There, right in the middle was Kieran's floating body. Just then, Beelzebub appeared beside him. He took in the scene and said, 'So the boy followed her.'

Samael snorted, 'A waste.'

With that, he turned towards Beelzebub, awaiting his report.

He bowed and said, 'Master, I was unable to detect her essence in this dimension.'

The demon master was deep in thought as he said, 'Earth..'

'Yes,' Beelzebub agreed.
