CHAPTER FOURTY SIX

KYUNG EUNSOO

I gripped the steering tightly as we got closer and closer to our destination. The police and some bodyguards would be there too. It should all be fine....there's no reason to panic.

After a while, we pulled up into the alley that was a few blocks away from where I was supposed to meet Kim Sangtae. I was about to get out of the car when I got a call from Minho. He called to tell me that they were all secure and safe but that the guards and police were experiencing some hiccups and that they might be a little late.We decided to proceed with the plan....he is outnumbered anyway. Hongjoong and Taemin scurried off into the darkness and tried to find another entrance. I inhaled deeply as I walked into the building.

" Kim Sangtae!! You wanted me....now here I am". I said and turned on my torch as I tried to navigate the dark room.

" You really came ". A deep voice echoed around the empty room.

" Stop being a coward and show yourself. Are you scared to be alone with me because of what I did to you before? ". I said as my hand gripped the gun in my coat tightly.

I frantically pointed my torch at different corners of the room as he taunted me with obnoxiously loud footsteps.

" Stop being cocky you stupid fucker. You have absolutely no idea where you are or what's around you. Do you think I'm stupid?". He yelled through the darkness.

" Cut the nonsense and show yourself you fucking coward ".

I followed the sound of the footsteps and yelled in pain as something caught my left leg. I could feel the warm liquid oozing out followed by the immense pain that shot up my body.

" Now....let the real game begin ". He said

The lights instantly came on, making me recoil and cover my eyes with my hands. As soon as my hands fell away from my eyes, I knew things were about to get messy and was a little glad the others won't have to watch it.

LEE TAEMIN

As soon as Eunsoo left, Hongjoong and I went in different directions of the building and tried to get to him as soon as possible.

*Kim Sangtae doesn't know we're here also. This can't go wrong.

I walked through the long corridor with my torch in hand and trying not to make too much noise. I stumbled on something and fell to the ground with a clang as the chain hit the floor. I traced my torchlight across the chain and it came to rest on an animal trap of some sort. I picked it up and began inspecting it when my torchlight wandered into the room.

My mouth fell open as my eyes caught various explosives that had been strapped to different parts of the building. Just then, there was a loud scream.

" Eunsoo!!". I yelled and ran towards the direction of the voice.

*This bastard has us in his trap

I slowed down as I approached the well lit room and my heart raced in my chest as I tried not to imagine the horrific things he must be doing to Eunsoo. I stood somewhere in the darkness trying to figure out what to do.

" Hey! Let go of him ". Hongjoong said as he dashed into the room.

Kim Sangtae had on a long coat and the room was covered in explosives. Eunsoo was crouched on the floor, his leg was caught in a trap and his face was covered in blood.

" One more step and I'll blow this place to the fucking ground ". Kim Sangtae said and threw his coat to the ground while laughing hysterically.

This bastard had straps of explosives on him. He smiled coldly as he played with the remote control in his hands. I immediately reached for my gun but realised I had dropped it when I fell.

" Hongjoong hurry up and get out of this place. Now!". Eunsoo said.

" Let us all go to hell together ". Kim Sangtae said.

I looked out the window and I could see the van parked outside as the police swarmed in.

*They won't make it in time. There's no reason for everyone to die here tonight

" Aaargh!!"

KYUNG EUNSOO

I turned toward the scream and saw Taemin lunge toward Kim Sangtae. I immediately knew what he was thinking as I noticed the wide open window behind Sangtae. I tried to run towards him and stop him but....

*crash

The window shattered as they both flew out of it. My breathing stilled as I sat there in disbelief and then there was another loud crash followed by a heavy thud. Hongjoong ran towards the window and immediately fell to the ground with his hands over his mouth.

" Take it off. Take this shit off me right now! Taemin needs me..please " I said as hot tears stained my face.

My heart raced as I limped towards where the police officers had gathered around Taemin and Kim Sangtae. I wanted to check on Taemin but was scared to see what he looked like and how he was and I couldn't bring myself to take another step. Someone grabbed my arm and turned me around.

" Don't look ". Hongjoong said calmly.

" I just want to see if he's okay "

*Of course he wasn't okay

The night air was now drowned in the sirens as the the medics rushed out and soon, Taemin and Kim Sangtae were being transported to the hospital. I still haven't processed the situation. It was hard to breathe....everything looked blurry and I could hear people talking around me but I couldn't make out what was being said.

We got to the hospital and they were both transported to the ER. I fell to the ground as I watched Taemin being wheeled away. It was getting hard to breathe and everything was even more blurry.

*Taemin must be in a lot of pain. I wonder if they're being gentle with him.....he's a big baby. I should go wait for him in front of the room.

Everything suddenly went black. I felt myself falling and soon my head hit the floor. I could hear loud stomping feet and Hongjoong's annoying voice and then everything went quiet.
