My lips pursed, "Idiot?"
"That's right. Idiot. Nothing good comes out of it, only pain and suffering," --she looks at me-- "Unless you're a masochist and prefers being hurt."
My brows furrowed.
"You know, you're saying all these things as if it came from experience. Have you been in love before?" I asked in curiosity.
Eris, no matter how long we had been acquainted, was still an enigma to me.
I scoffed, 'Isn't everyone around Keith an enigma? Even he was the biggest puzzle of all. What's new?'
Eris did not say a word, and seemed to be deep in thoughts. Seeing her like that piqued my curiosity even more.
'She did, didn't she? She has been in love before…'
"I did, once," she muttered. It was so soft that I almost didn't catch it.
'Was it Dante? Or was it a different person?'
"How did it end? What happened?" I asked and gazed at her in interest.
