The bridal room held all the thing that they needed, including the professional stylists and makeup artists. Since Ririna had already done with hair and makeup, she waiting for Ginny to finish up her preparation. Once she stepped into the room, she sat patiently on the side as she waited for the hairstylist finishes up Ginny's hair.
She looked at herself in the mirror, pleased with the result she has done on her makeup. At least they could save more time to prepare and ensure everything is on the place.
"You look so beautiful!" Ginny cried when she saw Ririna behind her. "But can you please don't take the spotlight from me?"
Ririna shook her head. "You're the princess for today. Make them see why Evan is head over heels for you."
"Of course, I will." Ginny smiled as she tried to wipe away her tears so her makeup wouldn't ruin.
"Are you ready?" Ririna asked as she held Ginny's shoulders, their eyes looking at each other via the huge mirror in front of them.
"I'm more than ready, Ririna. Just not a fun of the crowd like you, but I can't wait to be his wife. I have waited for years for this." Ginny's eyes brimmed with unshed tears, her hand reaching out to touch Ririna's hand.
Ririna smiled and kissed the top of her crown, wishing her friend the best. She knows how much important this is for Ginny. Every woman wishes to experience to walk in the aisle to see her beloved one waiting for her in the altar.
While they were busy talking to each other, Aya and Erica arrived, both looking worried and uneasy. Aya is almost on the verge of her tears while Erica trying to calm her down. Looking at them, Ririna wondered if something happened.
"Don't cry, we will try our best to look for them. Calm down," Erica said as she patted Aya's back.
"But what if someone took them? I shouldn't have left them alone." Aya cried her tears falling down her cheeks. She's already widowed and she only has Jiro in her life.
"Aya, what's wrong?" Ririna asked. She got this feeling something isn't right. A part of her telling her to move. Her heart aching as if someone's trying to crush it within her chest.
"Ririna! Jiro and Skyler are missing! I'm sorry! I'm sorry! I got distracted. I left them just to call you and find Erica, then when I went back to check on them, they're already missing."
That would only take about ten minutes. It was enough for someone to sneak in and take the children.
Once Ririna heard that she froze on her spot. Skyler is missing? How? Someone actually infiltrated this private event? Then her thought drifted to Hattori Ikeda. Her blood turned cold when she remembered the last blue envelope. The warning written on it confused her. Now she realized that she wasn't the target all along. It was Skyler!
'The vast horizon will be tainted with darkness. The wild jasmine flower will wilt. God's reward would be wasted.'
Ririna knows what it means now. The vast horizon is pertaining to Sky. The wild jasmine flower is her because her name originally means wild jasmine. And the God's reward is the meaning of Eli's first name.
"Where did you leave them?" her eyes narrowing. The rats are brave enough to come after them.
"At room 735. It is where we're staying at the moment," Aya replied.
The wedding will be held at Imperial Heaven Hotel. The Park family specifically asked the owner to close down the whole hotel for the wedding. Picking up her phone from her clutch bag, she dialed Eli's number and waited for two rings before he came into the line.
"Ririna?"
"Sky is missing." She said almost a whisper.
She slipped out from the room and looked to her right following the hallway towards the nearest elevator. Ririna is afraid that she knows she will achieve nothing if she panicked. Her one hand sneaking under her long skirt to get her hidden gun in the holster on her right leg. Her other hand holding her phone waiting for Eli's instructions.
She knew she will not able to think straight now that Skyler is in danger. How can she perform better now if her only weakness has been put on the limelight? She felt stupid. This is the second time she lowered her guard and now her child couldn't be found anywhere.
"Ririna. Calm down. We will retrieve Skyler. Okay?"
Eli's stoic voice can be heard from the other line. She knew her lover was also pissed because Skyler was abducted. She could imagine his eyes flashing with killing intent right now. His voice making her whole body shudder. If this started to get out of their hand, someone's going to die.
"Okay. I'll try to locate Sky. I put a tracker on his favorite watch last week." She said.
"Alright. Meet me on the third floor. Don't go there alone." He ordered before cutting the line.
As soon as the elevator opened, she punched the button for the third floor. Then she checked the app to see where they hide Skyler and Jiro. Her hand gripping her gun on her side. Every second is important and cannot be wasted. The tracker confirmed that the children are still on the seventh floor but they are moving.
So they are trying to hide the children, huh? When she arrived at the third floor, Eli meets her up in the hallway, handing her a small communication device. She put the small device in her ear and checked Skyler's current location. He leads her then to a vacant room to change her clothes.
Eli has ordered a complete lockdown of the hotel. The control room has been overtaken by his team, each surveillance camera is being checked for Skyler and Jiro's whereabouts.
"Did you find him?" he asked.
"Yes. They are still on the seventh floor. I'm not sure why but they are raiding each of the room on it."
"Stay here. We will lock down the whole floor so they can't escape." Eli said.
"No. I'm going with you. I can't stay on the sidelines waiting for something to happen. Please, Eli? Let me come with you." Her eyes pleading with him. It was the truth. She can't just watch and wait for Eli to rescue their son.
Eli sighed. Before being a former assassin, she is a mother. A mother who is ready to kill for her child.
"Okay but please keep yourself safe from harm." Eli pleaded.
He took his gun from his back and ordered everyone on his team to secure the stairs and elevators. No one should be able to escape.
Once she has changed her clothes in a more proper attire, they stepped out of the room and made a quick review with his team. Evan and his father came running towards him asking for the sudden interruption of the wedding.
"Someone abducted Sky and Jiro while Aya was busy," Ririna explained.
Gabriel Park roared in anger. His usual smiling face was replaced with pure rage. He wasn't able to meet his first grandchild and someone already took him away under his nose? They will pay for this. He quickly called for more back up as Ririna and Eli moved and took a different route to reach the seventh floor.
Ririna took the staircase on the left side of the building. As all of the elevators are shut down by Eli's team, he took the opposite staircase followed by some of his men. All of them have an unreadable face as if they are going to an all-out war. Ririna was followed by Erica and Jerry.
Since Erica passed her secretarial jobs to Sara, she started having her training again. While the Park family is the underground watchers of the government, Erica's heritage is an independent mercenary clan. They could serve anyone they please and it doesn't matter if it's from the government or the black market.
When they reached the last stairway that connects the sixth and the seventh floor, they were ambushed by two men which were quickly discarded by Jerry and Erica. Ririna was forced to stay behind them by Eli. He wouldn't allow her to put herself on the front line. Not now, not ever.
Jerry made the first move and tried to clear their path. When they stepped in the seventh floor, they knew that the war has started. They halted on the top of the staircase. The entire floor was covered with silence as if a single drop of a needle will disturb its peace.
The three of them decided to cover each other backs and go as a team while they check each room that the kidnappers visited earlier. As they opened the third room, Erica noticed something unusual. Someone was waiting for them within the room.
When she realized this, a small rifle was already pointed at them but it seemed that its target was the one standing behind her. It was too late for her to make a move as she already lost her balance when she was about to hit and fell to the ground, leaving Ririna vulnerable to the enemy.
"Ririna!" Erica screamed followed by multiple sounds of gunshot that echoed within the room.
