"That reminds me, you would have to drop your biometrics, so you would be able to get in here by yourself when you start going on your missions unaccompanied," Owl said to Denzel, as they both walked into Leia's hideout together, Denzel walking behind Owl as usual.
"Do keep it in mind that you would begin to reside here," Owl added.
"Huh, why would I have to live here? Can't I just come from home?"
"It isn't like you live in your own house, and you have taken some clothes with you, also, if there is an urgent mission that we must attend to at the moment, it would be a pain if you are distant,"
They both entered the building, both of them still talking to themselves as Owl walked to a door.
Owl called Denzel into a room, taking his fingerprints, and his Eye biometrics.
"Come with me," Owl said to Denzel when he was done collecting Denzel's data. Denzel followed him, walking just behind Owl who went towards another room.
"Normally, I would have locked you up downstairs," Owl began to unlock a door, pushing it open as soon as it was unlocked, "But I would keep you locked in here, you can't go out of here until you have done something about your weakness. If you can't still overcome your fear, then you'd die here, and you would have no chance of facing Leia again," Owl pushed Denzel into the room the moment he was done talking, locking the door immediately behind him.
"Owl, wait a minute!!!" He heard the sound of the door, it seemed like he was opening it again.
"What do you want?" The door opened a little, Owl peeking into the room so that Denzel won't be able to have a chance to run out.
"But how do I get what I eat? How would I get more clothes when I need them?"
"Text your friend to send your clothes to you to the address of this building, and I would get it to you."
"But how would I know if I have overcome my fear?"
"You would know. Use the time you are locked up in here to awake the Beast in you and learn to communicate with him,"
"What?!" Denzel didn't understand a single thing he said, but he couldn't ask any other questions as Owl shut the door, locking it immediately he did.
For a moment, Denzel was completely lost, his eyes looking empty.
After he came to realise that he was really locked up in there, he took his phone, messaging Ted to keep him updated about what was going on. In less than hours, Ted already helped him deliver the clothes, and everything still seemed absurd to Denzel.
When the day broke, Denzel slept all through, not even taking any time to do anything. He hadn't gotten a chance to rest well, so using that as his chance, he slept for about ten hours, waking up to see that it was already the middle of the day.
He looked at the door, saw a tray that was placed just beside his entrance, he stood up, walked to it and on getting to it, he saw the food that was wrapped in a cling film in the tray, a bottle of water placed by the side of the food.
He also saw a brush and a note telling him that there was a bathroom in the room was he locked up and no one had to tell him before he knew what he was to do with that.
After washing up, he forced himself to eat the food that was already cold. He had no choice since he was already stricken by hunger.
Denzel began to think about what Owl told him, 'Awaking the Beast in me? What the hell is that?' He packed up the plates he ate from and drank the bottled water that was placed in the tray.
"I know I have a Beast in me, but, would that mean that it is asleep? If it's asleep, how then do I use its powers?" Denzel said, trying to reason the whole thing, still trying to understand what Owl could have been talking about. He kept working his brain, thinking about any possible means he could wake up the animal in him.
"The dream!"
It was then Denzel remembered the dream he had when Owl knocked him out, "I am damn sure I saw the beak of an Eagle, but why?" Denzel added when he remembered the glimpse of the Eagle that he saw in the darkness.
"Yes! That's it, That must probably be what told me to switch then... But, how did it do that when it's asleep? Everything seems confusing, but maybe I should try focusing on my inner self, I might appear into that dark world once more."
Denzel sat, crossing his both legs, he sat up tall with his back being as straight as possible, relaxing his shoulders and then broadening his chest.
'Breath in,' He thought, taking in air through his nose, his chest moving upwards as he did.
'Breath out,' He thought once more, releasing the air in his body through his nose, his chest cavity moving downwards.
Denzel repeated the steps, his eyes closed all through until he started hearing weird sounds, then he opened his eyes.
"Everywhere is still bright," Denzel looked around him, trying to make out what might have made the sounds he heard earlier.
When he saw that nothing was unusual, he tried that step once more, breathing slowly, until he got tired.
"It isn't working," Denzel sat, using his index finger and his thumb to hold his chin, a very harsh look showing up on his face, he looked as serious as ever.
"Or was it because I almost died? Strange things only happen when I am almost dying. Could that be the reason? Or what else could get me into that world...? I have an idea," Denzel said to himself, getting back into the position to meditate. He closed his eyes, placing both palms on his legs, but what he did was slightly different from what he did earlier.
Denzel inhaled, for about a minute, holding the air in him, trying to see if that would allow him to be close to dying.
He began to hear some footsteps in the room, but he refused to open his eyes so that he could focus only on what he wanted.
He continued, till when he felt like he was about to pass out, then he exhaled, coughing out continuously.
Denzel opened his eyes, then he noticed a little piece of paper that was folded neatly by his side.
"That's the wrong way," Was the first line he saw on the paper.
"That's the wrong way? What?"He said, "Something is strange."
