I looked behind my back and saw an enormous tree, as if we were one. "My child." Suddenly, creatures coming from different directions appear in front of me, forming a crescent-moon shape. One by one they bowed and flower petals fell from the sky. "Welcome home, my child."

Alex's hand tightened on his shoulder, a steadying presence. "Nightmares have a way of playing on our deepest fears," he said. "But they are not reality, Rai. What you saw… it doesn't mean it will come to pass."
The young ladvtook a deep breath, trying to steady himself. He knew Alex was right, but the nightmare had shaken him to his core. "I saw everyone," he said quietly. "They were fighting, but the y were outnumbered. I… I couldn't help them."
