Perks of Platinum

It took 10 minutes to get a tailor to come and take my measurements. In this time, the runner returned with the name of the drink from the Broken Barrel; it turns out it's something he makes himself. He calls it peach ale, and now he knows he should make more of it.

I got the drink from the nobles and finished three rather easily. It was some kind of a sweet lemonade; it was quite good, but I preferred the peach ale. The monocled penguin also returned with my coin in a few bags. I now had 20 Large Gold, 200 small gold, 5,000 Silver and 10,000 Copper.

As he was bringing over all the coins, it occurred to me that I may have gone a little overboard. He had to do four trips, bringing 3 large chests to hold a large number of coins.

I placed all the coins within its designated inventory and left the chests; I had no use for them.

I was back in the private room where the tailor had just finished taking my measurements for both clothing and shoes.

"I don't want anything too flashy, practical is more important than fancy. I will spend most of my time on the road but I will also need to attend court eventually. I will need warm weather and cold weather court attire, 5 sets of fine travellers clothes and two sets for going under armour. As for the colours; it seems like vibrant colours are popular but I want muted darker colours, nothing bright. Is there anything else you need?"

"No, my lord. Two pairs of boots, 5 traveller's clothes, two armour padded, and two court attires; one cold and one hot. Nothing too fancy. In total your order will come to 23 Large Gold coins and 7 small."

I placed 5 Platinum into his hand. "Use the highest quality materials and the tightest stitching, I don't want to have any technical problems on the road. I also want a copy of my dimensions, they will be useful for having armour made."

The man smiled widely, nodded his head and scribbled the dimensions out in the neatest writing he could. "Of course! I will have them made to the highest standard as soon as possible."

He gave me the paper and left the room. I followed him out while ignoring the penguins and nobles. I didn't have anything left to do here. I was getting late in the evening and I still wanted to go hunting so I needed to go back to the Alchemist guild for potions.

I was going to hold back on buying anything from the second floor until I knew what the holes in my combat style were. My build now was tanky as hell with speed and a little bit of power and magic. But clicking on a controller isn't the same as fighting.

I ran over instead of walking because I wanted to see how my Dexterity affected me. I couldn't run at my fastest because I didn't want to create a disturbance. Even then I was still able to run faster than I ever had before, and it didn't feel taxing whatsoever. It took me two minutes to make it to the guild.

They were still open thankfully, and the clerks were the same people too. I approached the woman of course, pretty still wins, and she remembered who I was.

"Welcome back sir, did you enjoy the second floor?"

"Yes, it was really cool. The door was beautiful and the items on the floor were crazy."

"They certainly are, now what can I do for you today?"

"I outgrew my potions unfortunately so I needed some more."

She pulled out a notepad and a pencil. "What do you need?"

I walked away from her and she followed me to the display. I looked through the recovery potions first. "I want 5 Perfect Recovery Potions, 20 Excellent Recovery Potions and 10 Good Recovery Potions."

Moving on to the antidotes I looked them over and bought 5 of each, with the exception of the low grade; I only needed 3 of them. "9 Scent Removal Potions. 10 Dark Vision Potions, 9 Night Vision Potions, and 4 True Berserk Potions. I also have the Platinum Pass the manager gave to me earlier."

The poor lady dropped her pencil when I mentioned the token and shyly apologized before picking it up. She didn't bend her knees while doing so, which was a little strange. She also tucked her hair behind her ear when she stood upright. "That is a 30% discount on your total. Is there anything~ else I could get you?"

She bit her lip and looked up at me with her head cocked to the side slightly. She seemed to look at me a little differently than before. I thought it was strange but didn't comment on it. I didn't need anything else for now so I said so.

She leaned against the counter and did some calculations on her paper. The way she was moving was rather distracting. When she finished with the math he cupped her hands together and leaned forward, causing a small gap to form at the front of her shirt "Your total for the 65 potions comes to exactly 2 Platinum, 6 Large Gold, 1 Small Gold, 7 Silver and 3 Copper. Is there ∼anything∼ I can do for you?"

With my height I had a clear view down her top causing me to blush. Turned my head to the side to prevent myself from getting distracted. "No just the potions today." I pulled out the coins and handed them to her.

She took them all but dropped one of the coppers when transferring them into a pouch at her side. It rolled away from her and landed down by my feet and I started moving to pick it up but this lady moved like lightning and beat me to it. She got on her knees to pick up the coin by my feet.

She gave it to me without getting up. Looking up at me from the floor, she apologized for her blunder with her big doe eyes looking up at me.

I was dense, but I wasn't that dense. Her actions had disturbed the slumber of my friend. 'I cursed in my mind, 'Damn it, go down go down go down.' I was getting rather flustered now as the bulge was rather obvious, courtesy of my large frame. I stuttered a bit from embarrassment. "Ah, d-don't worry about it."

As she stood up, she dragged my hand up my leg which caused my breath to hitch. "I will be back with your items soon." I froze like a statue when her hand passed my upper thigh and didn't come out of it until she was off the sales floor.

My pants were rather uncomfortable now so I went to a spot where people couldn't see and made an adjustment. I was conflicted. I had no doubts about what she wanted but wasn't I too young? Did it matter? She was really attractive and obviously into me. Her well-fitting uniform did her figure wonders, but how old was she? Did it matter? Can I even do things like that in the game? Does it matter?

My mind was a complete mess and the discomfort wasn't going away. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice her approach.

"Here are your potions." "AHH!" I screamed and jumped 5' in the air before landing. My heart was pounding like crazy but it also had a side effect of making 'it' go away.

The lady started laughing so hard that she had to set down the box to prevent herself from dropping it. I felt my face go hot with embarrassment. I looked down at her and instantly noticed some changes. She had pulled her long light brown hair out of its ponytail and messed it up slightly. She also had an additional button undone on her top exposing some more skin.

She had a very pleasant laugh. Coupled with her attire and her behavior I felt myself developing a crush at rapid speed.

Long time no see!
