3 Dilemma

Outrageous the king spat, bring that brat to me he ordered the royal guard.

Natalie was brought to the courtroom, this time in chains. She was struggling as the two royal guard dragged her down to the courtroom where the king now sat in his throne.

Well, what do we have here the king said as he glared at her.

You seem to have a fetish for escaping, you haven't learnt your lesson, have you the king said. I should thank you for killing my sister Natalie asked, mocking him.

Look young woman the king said, you are not a princess anymore, you are serve me and my kingdom for the rest of your lives.

Why did you do this Natalie said.

I didn't, fate did this, Natalie you are destined to be my servant. Can't you see everything is working in my favor.

And I will not stop until I bring this kingdom back to it's former glory like in the days of my ancestors.

Natalie said then she hesitated what was the need for resisting, the king was right there was no hope of escaping at least not like this, the king could also kill her if he was tired of her tantrums . the same people had easily killed her sister talk less of her. Luck was not in her side either she needed a miracle but miracles only happened in fairy tales. This is real.

She needed a real miracle. A plan.

Prince Williams woke up with an headache which he was already used to but this one was worse and with much intensity. Maybe because he hadn't sleep well.

What his father told him last night was still in his thoughts. How am I going to stop my father from ruining lives. He thought to himself.

He had his bath and wore his royal regalia which he hated most times. Sometimes he wondered why he wasn't just an ordinary man and not a royal blood.

A knock on the door brought him to reality. A royal servant came to tell inform him to the dining court for his breakfast. This was a norm. He never skipped breakfast with his father. His father used to tell him of those days when he was a kid how his family used to eat at the dining every morning when his mom was alive he vaguely remembers her. But he missed that he didn't know how but he did. If this made his father happy then he would do it.

In as much as the recent problems with his dad he still loved the man.

Strolling into his dininig he bumped into a young woman this royal servant he said aloud.

Why do you want to ruin my already bad day. He said with a calm voice.

The young woman said looked up at him she saw a man in a royal regalia, this must be the prince.

Williams looked at the face again he recognized her from yesterday , the captured princess.

My bad he said aloud..... You must be new here he said smiling broadly.

She looked more healthy and yes beautiful, he now notice the almost blue eyes and ginger hair which had been straighten unlike yesterday.

She stared at him like she was contemplating something.

Your majesty, she finally said, I didn't know you we're there.

Well that was a rather cool voice for someone who look so fierce.

Fierce in a beautiful way. He thought.

What is your name he asked.

Natalie she replied calmly not knowing what this was all about.

Well Natalie, be careful next time he said grinning wildly as he left.

Natalie became shy as soon as he left. He had eyes like the moon, his broad shoulders was... Natalie what is wrong with you she said to herself as she came back to reality. This was the son of the man who had rendered her life useless. But he look so meek she thought to herself. Well he is the son if your enemy that will automatically make him your enemy. She said to herself.

Ha son you decided to come out of your room today the king exclaimed as he saw Williams. He knew he his son, he had a strong heart but also a soft spot for hs family. He would never betray him. He just needed time to get used to things.

Father, you know I would never miss breakfast for anything in the world he replied sitting at the dining.

Good morning father William greeted his father.

A great morning to you my son, I knew you will be alright the king said smiling.

Natalie came to the dining serving the food when Williams noticed her again.

Hmm, he sighed aloud waiting for his father's reaction.

The king looked up at Natalie, he cleared his throat before saying, well Williams, I guess you already met our new royal servant Natalie. He pointed at her.

Who! Williams replied feigning ignorance, is this the woman your guards brought yesterday.

The king not knowing where Williams was driving at said, yes she is the one, it's ironic you cant recognize her he said

Well, I didn't know you were recruiting princesses to the royal service he said sarcastically.

Williams the king sighed and said to himself he just can't stop.

Well father I just think we have enough royal servant to bother about recruitment now, or do we Williams continued.

I thought we talked about this Williams his father asked angrily.

Trust me I have gotten over it but it will take a while before I get used to seeing an abducted princess serving my food in the dining he said as he winked while staring at her.

Natalie immediately served the food and left, she couldn't understand this, what was going on. The prince is... I don't know. .... Maybe a little nice she said to herself.

I need to concentrate, the plan was to escape not this, what was going on.

Silence filled the dining hall as she left, the king had fell silent since the conversation with Williams.

Soon they finish eating, father and son goes separate ways for the activities of the day.

Williams has initially planned to go to the palace library until mid day but he had other plans now.

Natalie was washing the left over dishes which was assigned to her by the chief royal servant she was glad the already aging woman liked her even if she didn't know who she was.

Natalie was so engrossed in what she was doing that she didn't notice a figure standing at the door if the kitchen looking at her.

She was all alone there and didn't expect anyone there as all the royal servants are busy doing their work assigned to them for that day.

Williams decided to speak after seconds later he arrived at the kitchen.

You wash the dishes well despite being a novice he said coming into the kitchen.

Natalie was Shocked as soon as she heard his voice. A plate she was holding fell to the floor and broke.

I didn't mean to startle you he said rushing to her and holding her hands.

Good gracious, you were not injured he said as he held her hands staring at it intently.

Natalie looked into his eyes and gasped he had the clearest eyes she had ever seen before. Not like she had met many people but his was one of a kind.

Well she soon came back to her senses as she realized there had been holding hands ever since.

She removed her hands from his and bent down picking the pieces of the shattered plate up.

I just came here and I am already breaking things she muttered to herself.

As if he knew what she was thinking about he said it's not your fault, I won't blame it on you he said.

This man was so perfect he even read minds.

What are you doing here she said finally finding her voice.

Me? Em he said confused, the Question had caught him off guard. He never thought of that.

Well, just checking out the palace he said merely.

Hmm, so you want me to believe you just came here for nothing she said nodding her head.

Oh you caught me, of course not, I came here to ask you if you could accompany me to the palace library.
