The Island.

"Kathy.... Kathy... Wake up. Wake up Kathy." Someone was calling my name. I open my eyes, my initially blurry vision becomes clearer. As I wake up I see Leo and Angie trying to wake me up. I try to sit up and my whole body feels like there are needles on it. As I'm sitting my friends move me space so I can sit and have a bit of space.

"Where are we?" I asked cause I remembered a huge storm, then seeing an island and trying to get to it so we can stay there till the storm dies down a huge wave can and then..... BLANK.

"Thank God you're OK. Do you know how worried we were when I couldn't find you. If you had problems with controlling the boat you should have called when you that wave. One of us would have helped. You know that these kind of waves are the ones that cannot be handles alone. You know that the person that is stearing the ship is going to take the most amount of damage. Why would you not call us? What do you think would have happened to me if something happened to you. Do you have a death wish." Leo starts yelling at the top of his voice without taking a breath in between.

"Leo, I'm fine now. I'm sorry..... I just didn't notice and... and.... Ummmm..... Sorry. I love you. Nothing's going to happen to me. I'm sorry love."

"I love you. Never do that again."

"OK, well where are we?"

"A billion dollar question princess." Angie said.

"A billion dollars I think would have been well spent. What about the boat? "

"The boat cannot be used. It has holes, no fuel, only externally the boat is good." Ron says as he comes.

"Well there's millions of dollar lost at sea. " Leo commented. The comment made is all laugh.

"Leo, brother. Not a good time to laugh. I didn't see any signs of civilization."

"Is the communication system working?" I asked.

"Nope."

"You said that it's fine externally. Can it be used as shelter."

"I think so."

"Let's go see the boat."

We all go towards the direction Ron came from. When I see the boat I run towards it and start examining it.

"Although the boat is externally fine. The electrical and communications aspects are no longer working. I can try to connect the communication system to an external battery. Ron can help me with that. Leo can you go around and check the antenna. Angie find anything that we can use for our survival." I start giving out orders .

We all start working. I start rewiring the communication system circuit board while Ron helps me to connect it to the battery. Once we all are done. I switch on the system.

"Yes... We did it." I say. Ron and I high-five. "Leo the antenna is it ready?"

"Yes. It looks fine. It was a bit bent I fixed it." Leo replies.

"I don't think it is. We can't get any signal. Try adjusting it again. "

"I'll keep moving it. Tell me if you get a signal."

The three of us try getting the communications systems up but we couldn't after tryouts no for a long time.

"I collected all I could that we might need for our temporary survival. How's thing on your end. " Angie says.

"No response.... Guys cone to the deck seating area. We need discuss."

All of us gather and start discussing what we should do.

"Today, it's very late. Let's just sleep here. Tomorrow let's try exploring near by areas. " I suggest.

"Let's do that. We can collectvfirewood and surround the areavarpunf the boat. One thing I've learnt from camping. Never sleep in a place with possibility of wild animals appearing without having a fire fortress with you." Ron says.

We decide that Ron and Leo will go get the firewood. Where as I will continue to try to communicate and Angie would arrange for our sleeping and eating for tonight.

Three room in the boat. Leo and I share a room. Ran and Angie get their own rooms. Once Ron and Leo return we all set up the fire around the boat as we each take turns to keep and eye on the communication device.

Once we're done we all eat and then take turn in groups of two to keep watch on the communication device.

Once it's morning. Ron and I detach the communication system from the boat and make it portable. Once we're done we all have breakfast and take a bath in the sea after which we go to explore the island.
