My New Home

     I slept through the morning, I had a dreamless sleep, and I have regained my energy, in fact I feel more vigorous. I am not surprised at all to find my school uniform on the bed, after I took a lukewarm aromatic bath. Aunt Thalia didn't allow me to leave without eating a light breakfast which is composed of green vegetable salad, fruit berries from her orchard, and milk.

    "Thank you so much Aunt Thalia, can I come again soon?" I asked my aunt, and I gave her my sweetest smile.

     "Don't be silly, you don't need to ask permission from me, you can enter this place anytime you want, even if I am not around. This is your home too Malia, we are family." She cuddled me in her arms before letting me go.

     "Go now my dear, or Amos will be worried if you continue to be absent. You missed a lot of your classes already." She said, sounding like my own mother that made me more cheerful.

      "Bye! Aunt Thalia." I said, waving my hand to her, then I take flight going to the academy with a wide smile on my face. I will meet Flynn today as if I hadn't known him, he returned to his old haughty self, I know he hated me for not telling him the truth, he knew that Avery is the mastermind of my near death experience, yet he hurt me by dating her again, this means war, it is an indication that he gets over me for a very short period of time, he is such a player.

    I envy him actually, because I myself don't have any idea when I will be over him, I am hoping that I will be able to play cool in front of everyone.

Freda is enraptured upon seeing me in the hallway, while Hale and Nick looked at me with perturbed expressions on their faces, I hugged Freda and the boys, then we proceed to our first period, I noticed all of my classmates are kept on peeking at me on furtive manner.

    "Guys, is there anything wrong with me? Why these people are looking at me like they are seeing me for the first time?" I asked the three of them using my mind.

    "Well, haven't you seen yourself lately in the mirror? Have you forgotten that after you clashed with Prince Lucian your real beauty unfold? Mal, I think sooner or later your secret will be revealed, some students take notice of your resemblance to Queen Thalassa. Rumors are spreading already, that you are the lost princess, this is not good Malia, enemies will be coming out soon." I can feel her restlessness.

"Gracious! Malia, you can talk to us using your mind already? You are incredibly awesome!" Hale exclaimed upon hearing my voice in his mind.

"Did you forget Hale? That's one of the powers of being a Spektra is to be able to talk to a group of people at the same time, then even though we don't have that kind of power because of her power holding all of us I can hear your response and as well us Freda's answers. Malia is utilizing her telepathic power within our group, but if she wants you out, she can do that in an instant." Nick was able to explained it profoundly.

     Actually, even me is still in wonderment to this kind of power I possessed, but I made sure that I will never get inside their head reading their innermost thoughts. I only want to hear their answers and opinions, regarding my questions.

    I left their heads the moment Professor Wilson entered the room. He called my name, and handed me the questionnaire for the quizzes and exams that I missed. Mr. Wilson knew my real identity, but I can see the way he looked at me, that there is a big difference concerning my appearance now compared to the first night he first saw me.

    "You can sit here in the front Malia, and you may begin answering your answer sheets." He nodded at me, then instructed the whole class to read their books.

"I had already finished reading my whole book of my history class during my second month in the academy, but I am surprised to have remembered everything, maybe being a fairy makes me become quick-witted and intelligent.

In a flash I was able to completely answer all the questions. Mr. Wilson received my answer sheets in a cordial manner.

    I was able to take all the quizzes and exams, I missed for my morning classes without any hardships. During lunchtime, I excused myself from my friends, and told them I will be spending my break time in the forest, and I am so glad that they didn't have any protest.

Aside from the reality that I don't want to see Flynn and Avery in the dining hall having their good times together, I wanted to expend more time with my mother's twin sister. I saw Serpentina on my way to my aunt's cottage.

"Malia, my dear, I am so glad that you are fine now, and you finally met the Goddess." She said flying beside me. I enjoy flying under the trees to see the inner beauty of the forest.

"Yes! Thank you so much for your help Serpentina, all the training you made me do helped me a lot during my battle with Prince Lucian, I need to learn now, how I am going to control myself from fainting after a battle." I said to Serpentina happily.

"Well! I am willing to teach you anything Malia, but your aunt told me that from now on she will be the one to train you. She was my mentor too Malia, she trained me when I was very young, you can do better, she is a good teacher, and a very powerful fairy. I am happy that the power you have now exceeds everyone's expectations." She said proudly still floating in the air with me.

"See you around Serpentina, I will go to my aunt's home to join her for lunch, you want to come with me." I asked her.

"Thank you, Princess, but we can't enter inside her home, it is inappropriate in the eyes of the fairies, bye for now Malia, and see you around." She turned around and disappeared in front of me immediately.

Aunt Thalia is busy making lunch, when I arrived at her place, I can see the happiness in her face upon seeing me standing on her doorstep.

"Well, I just had a hunch that you will be coming for lunch, it is a good thing that I prepared food good for two." She said smiling at me. I helped her set the table, and we eat our meal in quietude.

    "Can I ask you something Aunt Thalia?"

     "Anything my dear." She said looking at me tenderly.

"Is it true that you and mom came from Eirini Kingdom? What it's like? Do we have any relatives left?"

"Yes! We came from Eirini, although I never got the chance to grow up there, I always visited the place, there are times I wanted to see your mother, and our parents, but only from a distance, and I have to hide myself so that no one can see me. Our kingdom is known to be the home of the beautiful and handsome fairies. That is why in Erthesia history your great-grandmother, grandmother and your mom had been called fairies with timeless beauty."

"Do you know Princess Avery Omorfia?"

"I do, she is your cousin, before our parents died, her father King Theodor is my first cousin, his mother is the younger sister of your grandfather on your mother side, our father appointed him as his successor, since I became goddess of Erthesia and your mother became queen of whole Erthesia there is no heir of the throne of Eirini except you, but you are the Crown Princess of Erthesia on your father side, but anytime you can claim the throne if you want to." She said meaningfully.

    "Aunt Thalia, I don't have any desire of becoming a queen of any kingdom, especially the Erthesia Kingdom, I just want to see my parents." I said sadly.

     "I know Malia, but you can never run away from your destiny."

"I know Avery is giving you a hard time, it was instilled on her mind, since childhood that she will become the future queen of Erthesia, King Cassian and King Theodor agreed to announce the engagement the moment Flynn and Avery turned eighteen, at first she is taking it personally for fame, but she never expected to fall in love with the crown prince." My aunt spoke slowly and her voice is so soft.

"The moment she realized that the prince is falling for you, she became selfish and trying to do everything to discard you." Aunt Thalia said looking outside her window.

"How did you know all that?" I asked amazed.

"I am a goddess, my power is beyond you can imagine." She said looking amused with my innocence.

"I didn't expect that she made a deal with the dark forces just to get rid of you. It was very wrong, and I couldn't understand why the crown prince is spending his time with her now. He is in love with you, I can see it in his eyes."

"Aunt Thalia, please don't say that just to make me feel better, I am sure of one thing, he loathes me."

"He is confused Malia, deep inside, he still cares for you, believe me." She said seriously, and I give her a wide smile, I know my aunt is trying to lighten my mood.

"Can I stay here again tonight?" I said making a puppy eyes.

"You don't need to give me that look, I already told you, anytime you want to, always remember this is your home too Malia." She said smiling at me, then her face turned solemn.

"Malia, please be extra careful, I know you are powerful, but they are now preparing to get you, don't lower your guard, follow your mind and instincts. This weekend I will train you personally."

I nodded to her, then I hugged her tightly. "Thank you so much, Aunt Thalia."
