Headmaster Amos

    We stopped in front of the Headmaster's office door. Prince Hale knocked on the door and a beautiful fairy opened the door for us. She looks so stunning that my mouth hang open upon seeing her.

She stands as tall as I am, her green eyes are amazingly innocent, while her curly copper brown hair shines lustrous and thick. She smiled broadly at the two princes.

   "Hello! Prince Nick and Prince Hale, I heard and very much thrilled that you are enrolling this year, at last both of your fathers were able to convinced you to try the academy life." She said and curtsy to them.

   "Hello! Princess Suzanne, fancy meeting you here during our arrival." Nick said, while bowing his head at the princess.

  "Princess! It is good to see you here." Prince Hale also said, nodding at the lady in front of us.

   "We arrived on the same day I supposed, you know me, I am also, like you guys, not so interested in studying here to further enhance my power. I know my abilities, but the moment I have learned that Flynn is enrolling this year, I didn't waste any time." She said looking at them with appreciation.

    "I am excited because this year not only the two of you are enrolling, a lot of princes and princesses from different kingdoms are joining the academy, some of them to be able to have a glance to the mighty Prince Flynn Vermilion. There are also rumors that the lost princess would possibly be here, but I doubt about that, I believed she was long gone and dead." She said confidently.

     Ouch! Is she talking about me? This is not good, and who could that be the mighty Prince Flynn she is talking about? Why even the member of the royal family wanted to see him?

    I didn't like him already, but deep in my heart, I am excited to meet him, because this beautiful maiden is so interested in him. I really needed to ask Freda about this guy.

"I have seen the headmaster, and he was delighted upon seeing me, I guess I will take my leave now, I am going to my own quarter to rest. I'll see you around boys." She said winking at them, then walked past us without even glancing at me or Freda. I conclude she only has eyes for the noble blood.

   "Whoa! Suzanne never change, at least she stopped bugging you Prince Hale, it has been a long time, she asked you for a date." Nick teased Prince Hale that made him so flustered.

   "Don't forget you were her first crush Nicholas." Counter by Prince Hale at Nick.

    Freda and I looked at them bemused, well they are both attractive after all, there is no question that kind of fairy would love to date any of these two boys.

   "Let us all get inside." Said Freda with urgency in her voice. I am not sure, but I have seen a change of Freda's demeanor, does Freda has a crush on one of the princes?

    We get inside the office of the headmaster, and we are greeted by his secretary. She looked like on her mid thirties, but still very pretty.

    "Come inside Princes and new students, welcome to the academy, the headmaster is now ready to see you all." She said bowing to the princes, and she gave a warm smile to me and Freda.

   I am still not use of bowing, or curtsy, but I will be used to this being with them.

    I am astonished to be face to face with the headmaster, I thought he looked old, but the person in front of us looks so young and strong. He has a friendly smile upon seeing us.

   "At last prince Nicholas and prince Hale, you finally give in, I presume because of this beautiful princess here." The headmaster said then looked at me without blinking his eyes for a long time. He is also well-built and tall, as tall as Nick and Prince Hale.

    "Malia, thank you for coming here at the academy, your father will be very proud of you. Your parents are among of the best students here in the academy. Both are so strong and powerful." He continued talking.

   "But the combination of their powers can be found within you, their one and only child. I am sorry that I can't give you any details regarding your parents whereabouts, but I do hope that they are still alive." He said soberly.

   "Welcome to the academy princess, I hope it will not be a burden to you hiding your true identity, bear with us princess, once this is over, you will be introduced to the whole land of Erthesia as our new queen, but for now you have to suffer being a commoner." He said sympathetically.

    "It is okay to me, I am used to it being in the shadow. I mean in the human world, I don't have the luxury of being popular, and I am happy being away from the crowd." I said timidly.

    "I understand Malia, but your destiny is to be the queen and lead your people." He said smiling at me.

    "Now, I don't want to take so much of your time, I just want to welcome you all, Freda thank you for your loyalty to the princess. Malia, do your best and good luck with your studies here in Erthesia. Go and enjoy the rest of the day, boys please accompany these two ladies in touring the whole academy." He said to us with a wide smile in his face.

    "One more thing Malia, if you need anything, don't hesitate to come to me, I will be here to guide you." He said, and he stands up and shakes my hand. I am so happy taking his hand, it feels like I am back in the human world.

    After our excursion at the campus, I felt a little tired, Freda and I decided to go to our room to rest. King Robert is right after all, our room is so spacious and have a wonderful view. It feels like I am in the Aeras castle, our window is facing the lake that surrounded by beautiful trees with beautiful flowers.

     We are on the fifth floor of the dormitory building. I can see the beautiful garden below our window. It is like I am having a long dream that I don't want to wake up. How can this beautiful world being threatened by a dark king. I hope that I can really defeat him to save this paradise.

   Our room has two queen-sized beds, we also have individual closet near our bedside, two study tables, and we have a different vanity table that complete with cosmetic products. Really? Fairies don't need these things, for they were in born with beauty and glamour.

"Can I ask you a question Fred?" I asked her.

"Anything Mal, what it is you want to know?" She asked me in return.

"Who is Prince Flynn Vermilion? Why all the noble blood wanted to see him?"

"Well, I have seen him once when his father, the king visited Aeras Kingdom, last year. His father inherited the throne of your father, since you are the only heir, King Maverick declared His Highness King Cassian as his successor before your parents went missing from our land, he was the right hand of your father, a noble by blood. They were best friends since they were young." Said Freda seriously.

"When your father became king of Erthesia, King Cassian chose to give up his throne as the crown prince of Katharos Kingdom to become the right hand and advisor of your father. They were very close, like brothers. You can read their story here in the archive of this academy."

"His brother, Prince Claude Vermilion automatically became the crown prince of Katharos Kingdom when he left, and now the current king of Katharos."

"But because of his selflessness and kindness, look at him now, he became the ruler of all kingdoms in the whole land of Erthesia. A good king in fact, just like your father. But his reign will be over the moment you will claim the throne. He knows that, and he is waiting for your return." Freda said with tears in her eyes.

The story of my father's friendship with this man is really admirable. Who is in his right mind to give up the crown in the name of friendship? Their friendship must be tested by time and hardships.

I commend to this honorable man. I want to know this King, I can't take away his kingdom and crown, I can never do such thing to a kind-hearted person, if ever I can defeat the dark king I will return to the human world. Leave Erthesia to the rightful king, no other than the best friend of my father, King Cassian.
