Lily smiled, ignoring the look of disbelief on the third queen's face, "It might seen unbelievable to you but it's the truth, I absolutely hate Queen Shannon." She declared, her eyes burning with intense hatred that threatened to burst out of blue-jewelled eyes, but her lips still held a captivating smile.
Queen Hannah remained silent for a while before her lips curved up into a similar smile, "It's pretty hard to believe that a child would hate her mother, but it's believable, your mother hated the king anyway." She chuckled.
"See, we're not cut out from the same cloth." Lily flashed back a smile in return.
"Have you ever wondered why your mother treats only you like that?" Queen Hannah tilted her head, not knowing what answer she hoped for from the lips of an interesting young child.
"Yes." Lily replied nonchalantly.
However, Queen Hannah said nothing more, she simply stared at the child, somehow believing that the little girl knew why she was treated the way she was treated, "I haven't felt so alive in a really long while." She smiled and stood up from the tea table. Her eyes shimmered with unknown light as she twirled under the sun rays that poured in from the open windows. It's a marvel that the sound of someone's downfall would bring such joy.
"I'm glad." Lily bowed slightly.
"So, they must be a reason why you came here today, let me hear it." Queen Hannah raised her head up, her entire being exuding the elegance and grace she once carried, the pride of the Eastern Duchy.
Lily smiled at this sudden improvement, it felt like the insane woman she met a few minutes ago was nothing but a cover or an act. How fast she changed simply at the sound of revenge.
"I want to join hands with you, Your Majesty."
"And how do you wish to do that, Princess?"
"I need as much power as I can get, and you, My Queen, daughter of Duke Blithwine of the Eastern region, you're the only one who can provide me with such power." Lily tapped her little fingers on the table.
"Hm?" Queen Hannah smiled, she walked towards Lily and questioned, "How old are you even?"
"Nine."
"You're so small." Queen Hannah chuckled, "Deal, as long as I have your mother's head on a stake. The same way she paraded my son's head." Though, she kept the latter part to herself, fearing she'll scare the young child.
"Deal."
"Now, should I put on a little show for you?" Queen Hannah twirled her dirty dress, then with a loud voice, she yelled.
"Your Majesty!" The door burst open, as two maids rushed inside, "You shouldn't yell like that, Your Majesty, this is a palace, not some monastery or asylum for crazy people." One of the maids
"Oh." Lily exclaimed silently with a look of exasperation on her face. Her presence was not noticed since she was petite and naturally blended in by the corner of the room.
"My room, why is it in such state?" She glared at the maids. Speaking as eloquently as ever, she stared down at her dress, "Why would you let your master wear such dress?"
"What?" One of the maids raised an eyebrow, "What nonsense are you talking about now, won't you keep yelling about your dead children?"
"Hm?" Lily glanced at the maid who spoke about the queen's late children. She must have struck a nerve with those words and just as she thought, Queen Hannah's eyes had long turned bloodshot, she grabbed the maid by her hair, slamming her head hard on the wall.
"Ah!" The other maid screamed at the bloody sight, however, since the queen's body was quite weak, only a little bit of blood seeped out from her head, she didn't loose consciousness either.
Queen Hannah didn't flinch at the sight of blood and neither did Lily, who had seen a pretty large blood bath before her death. She simply watched with her chin, resting on her hand.
The butler burst into the room as soon as the other maid screamed, without the least courtesy of knocking, he pushed the door open. The shining ornaments he adorned his body with almost blinded Lily's eyes as he glistened under the rays of sun.
"Ah." Lily smiled, the more she watched, the more interesting it became.
"It seems you didn't give proper training to the servants." Queen Hannah said, cleaning her bloodied hand on her dress.
The butler's eyes widened, he recognized this demeanour, it wasn't that of the queen who had lost her mind after the death of her children but the ruthless queen who he once knew.
"What would you do with them?" Queen Hannah's voice snapped him out of his reverie.
"Y-yes? I'll make sure to punish them severely, Your Majesty."
"And how do you intend to do that?"
"I-I'll cut their salaries, Your Majesty."
"Just that?"
"N-no." The butler fell to his knees, "I'll punish them by also whipping them."
"No."
"Yes?"
"I don't want you to cut their salaries and I definitely do not want you to whip them." Queen Hannah sat on her bed.
"T-thank you, Your Majesty." The two maids fell to the floor besides the butler, bowing their heads to the seemingly merciful queen.
"Yes. It would be a shame for a queen's butler to dirty his hands, hence the knights shall handle the whipping and then you can send them away." She smiled beautiful, her golden blonde hair shimmered under the sun rays, and her peculiar pink-coloured eyes twinkled as she beamed.
"Ah! Ah! Please! I beg of you." The bloody maid banged her head on the wooden floor until she bled, "I have nowhere else to go, Your Majesty, I beg of you."
"Oh my." Queen Hannah touched her face pitifully, feigning innocence, "Your head wouldn't have been injured if you had placed a rug in my room. Poor child."
"Sigh." Finally, in the quiet room, Lily's loud sigh was heard.
The people who hadn't noticed her presence turned their heads to her. Seeing the little child, who stood in poor clothing, the butler yelled, trying to divert the queen's attention from himself, "How dare you, little brat raise your head in the presence of her Majesty."
However, he had choosen the wrong target, "Your Majesty?"
"Yes, Lily." Queen Hannah turned to her.
"What punishment is given to those who raise their heads in the presence of royalty?"
"Hmm..." Queen Hannah placed her finger on her lower lip, "It depends on hierarchy, but the commoners are executed right away."
"Then what's the punishment given to those who insults royalty?"
"Death." Queen Hannah replied with a small chuckle.
Lily smiled and turned to the butler, who was stunned by the Queen's careful and patient answers, "So, will your good for nothing heads do?"
"What? What nonsense are you spouting?" Unwillingly to relent, the butler yelled, he already had it today but now he was being talked down to by a child.
"I, Princess Lily Selena de Florain orders your execution." Lily who was standing at the dark corner of the room slowly stepped into the light. Her blue-jewelled eyes shimmered as she gazed down on the pathetic beings in front of her.
"M-my..." The wounded maid stuttered, she shivered in fear. Meanwhile, the butler had already soiled his pants. The newly crowned crown princess was right in front of him and had even ordered his execution, nothing could save him at this point, well except one.
"M-my queen! P-please save me. Please!" His face was covered in tears and snot as he continuously banged his head on the floor continuously.
