Chapter 68: Reading the notifications

He charged towards Henry with all his might.

However, he just lowered his head and the attack flew past his neck.

"I have become so much stronger," Henry muttered under his breath.

He channeled spiritual energy into his sword, then he directed his sword toward the heart of the killer.

The killer was covered in a cold sweat even though he can't see the sword due to how fast it was moving, he can feel its strong aura and presence.

"So this is how I end huh" Killer muttered under his breath.

As he waited for the sword to pierce his heart. All of a sudden, a wait barrier surrounded Killer. It stopped the advance of Henry's sword.

However, cracks were continuously appearing all over the barrier. It would break in a matter of seconds.

The killer didn't see this, he had closed his eyes and was waiting for his head. He opened his eyes when he heard a familiar and sweet resounding through his ears.

"Killer hurry up and get out of here, my barrier spell won't be able to last the next 3 or 4 seconds.

This is your last chance to survive" Princess roared at the top of her lungs.

This caused the killer to snap out of his daze.

He saw a barrier in front of him that was cracking all over the place.

"Thanks, Princess, for saving my life," Killer said to Jacky.

"This won't be for free, you will have to pay me back when we get out of here, or else I can just kill you now," the Princess said to him.

Killer just nodded his head slightly in approval. This won't be too unexpected to him even though they are teammates who are in the face of danger.

They still won't give up benefits. This is quite normal to them.

Within moments, the killer moved away from the spot and dodged to the right. He let out a Roar.

"Jacky you piece of trash, come here to help us if you can do that, we should kill you so that you won't be a burden," Killer roared in a high-pitched voice.

Jacky stood up and then he wiped the blood on his face.

As he was wiping the blood off his face, a thunderous loud sound resounded throughout the room.

They turned their head toward the source of the sound. The barrier had shattered.

Only coldness and rage could be seen on his face.

A second later he said.

"So you don't care about your comrades huh, you only care about benefits that you can get from them.

You three don't deserve to live, I will give you the most painful death" Henry said calmly.

The world around him slowed down, the scenery in his eyes was replaced by water, and golden spots could be seen all over the body of the three.

He had entered the Ocean of death. Their death is certain now.

Henry tightened the grip on his sword, calming aura entered his body and calmed down his mind.

Henry just stood there without moving an inch and smiled.

"Come near if you are brave enough" Henry muttered under his breath.

This caused veins to show up in their head and then two of them said.

"Charge, Princess, give us the strongest buff. We don't care about the side effects.

Princess nodded his head and roared.

"Buff of the demonic saint" Princess roared.

The muscles of the two of them immediately bulged, they could feel strong energy overflowing in their body. The two of them immediately become confident.

They charged toward Henry in a tight formation. The strongest formation they knew.

They moved towards Henry at an incredible speed but in Henry's eyes, their speed is insignificant and isn't worth mentioning.

"Come and die by my hands" Henry muttered softly as he focused on the sound of water splashing, the sound of their blood flow, heartbeat, and breathing.

He locked the golden spots he is going to attack.

A few seconds later, Henry swung the sword horizontally by around 90 degrees but they successfully dodged it.

It was within Henry's expectation.

"Now one of them will go for my head and the other will go for my head. They hope that I won't be able to take care of them quickly.

However, they couldn't be more wrong."Henry muttered under his breath.

One of the cultivators, the one named Jacky jumped and headed towards his head. However, he didn't even panic one bit.

He quickly raised his sword and pointed it toward Jacky. Then he started to slash him countless times over the golden spots.

He would be so fast that the killer would just see sparks of light.

Killers didn't panic.

"This was expected, we knew that one of us would die but we still took the risk to defend him. Jacky was just unlucky but I will surely avenge him" Killer muttered under his breath as his pupils turned red.

He charged towards his heart.

Henry punched even before he was in his range. His fist was covered in a thick layer of spiritual energy.

This unexpected attack caused his eyes to be in disbelief.

"How did he know that? '' Killer muttered in disbelief.

Soon the fist hit him in his right chest. He coughed up a mouthful of salvia. He was sent flying because it didn't have that much strength.

Henry quickly retreated his sword from Jacky and pointed his sword towards the heart of the killer. Soon he stabbed his heart.

Warm blood came out from his chest and he coughed up a mouthful of blood. That fell to the ground.

Before dying, he managed to utter his last words and asked

"How did you manage to predict our attacks, do you have the ability to read our mind?"Killer asked in disbelief.

Henry replied coldly as he took out the blade from his chest.

"None of your business now dies, "Henry said with a cold smile.

Blood started to come out from his chest like water from a broken dam when he removed the sword. His eyes were in disbelief as he died.

A second later, his eyes turned lifeless.

"One more to go then I should escape"Henry muttered.

He turned his head towards the princess. She wasn't in the position where she was a minute ago.

"Did she run away? If so I have to catch and kill her" Henry muttered as he closed his eyes to decipher her location.

A second later he found her and started to charge towards her.

Meanwhile,

Princess was running from the scene as fast as she could. She had started to run away when Henry punched the killer.

"I have to run away, there is no way I can defeat him.

I think I am safe if I just keep running," Princess muttered as she ran.

Little did she know that she had forgotten something important that won't leave her no matter where she goes.

A creepy sound resounded in her ears and her retina flashed with dozens of messages.

(You have failed the mission by trying to run away from the target. Hence, you will receive the punishment according to the mission punishment)

Choosing the way that you will die.

Choosing has been completed.

Death method: Your atoms will start to burn and turn into ashes until there isn't a single trace of existence left in this world)

(Commencing punishment)

Right after that lines of words flashed in her retina, and she started to scream in pain and agony.

"AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!" Princess screamed in agony.

The atoms of her cell had started to burn away.

Henry heard that from a distance, then he frowned.

"Why did she scream, I have done anything yet?"Henry thought to himself

Henry decided to head to the source of the sound to see what had happened.

When he got to the scene, he was scared beyond words.

"What is this?"Henry muttered to himself.
