The continent of beasts

"That's all sorted," Licht said as he looked at the empty ground.

He could still hear the people cheering for Tranko, and honestly, he was a bit tempted to go and terminate them all, but Tenebrea spoke.

"Let's leave this as a challenge for the alliance. If not, there would actually not be a point in building an alliance if all the trouble ends up being handled by you and me."

Licht understood and nodded. He stared around and stared at his disciples, their aides, and Tenebrea's disciples and their aides too.

"Last Stop: The Continent of Beasts"

A gigantic rift started to open up. It was far bigger than the one that brought them to the Daemon continent because Licht had gotten stronger. They all started to cross through one by one. Amphy was the last creature to cross through; Tenebrea followed swiftly after, and then Licht hopped through, closing the rift.

Tranko looked in that direction, and feeling the aura disappear, he heaved a sigh of relief. Tenebrea had told Sloane that the person who annihilated her village had fought against Anastasia but was still alive and kicking, causing Sloane to feel murderous, but surprisingly, she held everything in and agreed to go to the Continent of beasts. Licht was surprised, as he expected her to choose to stay behind so she could face the culprit. If she had done that, Licht would have chosen to stay behind, but it seemed that Sloane felt they needed to find his fragments. All she told Tenebrea was

"Tell Anastasia that once the war begins, we will be here, so they should leave him alive long enough till we get back."

Now the group was in the middle of a forest, beastly roars rang out from all over. Midas looked around with a frowning expression. Due to his soul attribute, he could feel several strong presences all around. Not a single one was below the red rank. Midas and the others were all peak red rank and could face beasts and people that ranked all the way to peak purple. Amphy and Gayatri were the only two here that were of the purple rank, intermediate purple rank, and peak purple rank, respectively, and of course the two gold rankers were Licht and Tenebrea.

The beasts were slowly closing in as if they sensed a treasure. The group was surrounded by beasts of different kinds, ranging from red, purple, and a few gold beasts.

Beasts could increase their cultivation naturally, and if they consumed the flesh of a strong being, it would help their advancement. There were four gold-ranked beasts here, and they stared at Licht and Tenebrea like breakfast. They did not even put the rest of the group in their eyes.

"Were they expecting us or something?" Sloane asked confusingly.

"No, we were just unlucky, or would I say they were? A natural treasure is being born here, and we appeared directly beside it." Licht looked at a flower that was glowing beside him.

This flower was known as an onigiri." It helped break through an entire rank easily without shaking your foundation, and they had appeared directly beside it.

Tenebrea walked to the plant despite the growling of the four-ranked beasts. She picked it up and stored it.

They all looked at her weirdly. The gold-ranked beasts were already revving up to attack this group. They were planning on eating them and the plant, but now this human just came fearlessly and took what they were all plotting for.

Once a creature passes green rank, they gain human-like intelligence, so planning and strategy are easy for creatures at this level.

"Why are you all looking at me like that? I can use this to make a pill for all of you. Even if you don't clear an entire major rank, two minor ranks wouldn't be impossible." Tenebrea shrugged. "Beside, they are attacking now, so get ready."

Davina sighed "This reminds me of Master's tests."

Tenebrea's disciples all nodded.

The gold-ranked beasts were the Golden Ape, the Giant Rock Badger, A Nicaraguan Frost serpent, and a Needle-back tiger. There were more purple and red-ranked beasts. The group all brought out their weapons; oddly, Licht and Tenebrea also wielded their weapons too.

Licht held onto his naginata like a god of slaughter, while Tenebrea smiled with her Scythe in her grasp. The beasts all ran forward, showcasing their power.

Midas had already summoned some soldiers and generals. Pride flew in the air as he spat green fire everywhere. Lust ran in between most of them, kicking and slashing while Avarice, the manticore devoured and killed like it was a buffet. The other soldiers faced the other red rank, and it was a massacre. The disciples and aides faced the purple-ranked beasts since Midas's summon had the red-ranked covered.

Sloane sat on Fenrir, who was already in combat form and clad in armor. Everywhere she swung became a mash of blood and guts while Fenrir tore apart anything in front of him. Julius looked similar to Sloane as he rode Maverick, but every time he swung, a boom would be heard, and not even a drop of blood would be left as Maverick rammed through his opponents. They both looked like the gods of war and battle. Daren was a silent assassin as usual; beasts just kept falling down every time a shadow passed by with only a slit mark on their throats. Luna and Solana in their combat form howled and roared as they slashed and punched, freezing and burning creatures.

Some beasts started to attack each other with madness in their eyes, while others just died mysteriously with a pained expression and whimpering. That was Davina's work; she stood on a tree protected by Scarlet, who was shooting down anything that got too close. Talia flew around, attacking from above with her trident. Midas and Frances went in opposite directions, just slashing with their newly acquired swords. At times, there would be an explosion from Frances' direction, and souls were steadily flowing in Midas' direction. Gayatri sat on Amphy, controlling trees as Amphy spat blood fire from its mouth, a new skill it had learned.

From an outsider's point of view, this was a very intense battle, but for them, this was something they really needed. The only time they had let loose was when facing each other, but they still didn't want to hurt the other party. Now they did not care; everything in their presence was prey, and they were going to hunt.

The group looked like a mad pack of wolves chasing a herd of caribou.
