Licht vs the beast king

All Midas saw was the tail come towards his master, and then a boom sounded out.

He saw his master with his stretched-out hand, stopping the behemoth's tail like it was air.

Midas jaw was hung so low it looked like it would fall off any moment. Licht smiled and then uttered

"This would make a nice punching bag to test my strength finally"

Licht jumped into the air, and punched at the beast king. It connected with the beast king's head. It was pushed back by a measly ten meters while Licht flew back five meters. He balanced in the air using his wind attribute.

Around Licht, there was a whirlwind keeping him stable midair, with his hair blowing all over the place, making him look like a sovereign of wind.

He smiled and descended once again, if you stared at his fists, they were coated in flames as he continuously battered the beast king. The beast king's scale was very solid and durable, it looked like Licht was not doing any damage to it, only aggravating the beast king more and more.

"It seems due to absorbing my fragment. It can fight over its cultivation level. This is fun" Licht had the look of a madman that craved battle.

Midas just stared at the ongoing battle and was dumbfounded and entranced in the battle.

He did not notice when the young lady appeared behind him and was now watching the battle too with tremors in her heart, while her guard was more fearful of this boy's master as he was facing something that could kill him with a single swipe of its claw.

Licht jumped back into the battle, the beast king kept on swiping with his claws and tails while Licht was dodging and blocking the attacks. There were booms and blasts of winds all over the place, sometimes all they could see were flashes of Licht while other times they would hear the beast groan.

When the beast king got exhausted, Licht started counterattacking.

He jumped into the air and dropped a fist on the head of the beast king, the beast king was flattened to the ground but then stood up immediately. As it arose, it noticed that it could not find Licht in its view but then it felt a movement behind it but it was too late.

Licht grabbed the tail of the beast king and then swung it around like a ragdoll. Everyone was surprised, the young lady, her guard, Midas, and even the creature, they were all surprised that Licht could lift something so huge that he practically looked like an ant right next to it, but he did it.

Licht swung left and right, bashing the creature on the floor and walls each time, the scene was like it was removed from that movie where a green giant was smashing a certain Norse god.

By the time Licht was done, the scales of the creature were all broken and it was bleeding from everywhere. It still was not dead but it was close, with its skull bashed in and vertebrae column destroyed.

Licht left the creature and walked up to where his fragment was. After taking the fragment, he noticed some other treasure in the cave now, but they were of no use to him. He just told Midas to take what he needs and leave the rest.

The young lady and her guard realized the mysterious artifact they came here for was the same fragment that Licht wanted from the creature so they sighed wryly, but it was not like they could do anything about it.

If Licht did not come to fight the creature, they would have been slaughtered by just a swipe of its hands. They had grossly miscalculated. They looked towards Licht with an inquiry.

"You can take whatever my disciple leaves behind," Licht said to them

Their eyes shone with stars. Although they could not get the fragment, every other thing here was worth something for a clan.

In the pile, there were bronze, silver, and even gold coins. There were ether stones, spell books, and several varieties of weapons, swords, sabers, spears, and more.

Midas did not waste any time at all, he took all the coins, be it gold, silver and bronze, and all the ether stones. He left the spell books and the weapons cause he did not need them. His soul attribute made everything more convenient. Midas also had an attribute called soul space where he could keep living and non-living beings in it. It increased after every level up and right now, it was about ten square meters.

The rest was left not because he felt generous but because he did not need them. The young lady was happy that the spell books and weapons were left behind, even without the ether stones and coins, it was still worth it.

Midas then strolled to the beast king on its final straw and sat in front of Licht who sat down in a lotus position.

Licht looked at the young lady and her guard in a warning and they understood what he meant.

They gulped and continued to collect what was left behind in the pile. As they were picking up the books and weapons, footsteps were heard and it turned out to be Captain Ville and the others.

As they appeared, they took notice of Licht cross-legged and then the young lady who was also staring in their direction.

Laine ran up to his sister and asked "Lillian, are you okay?"

The young lady nodded at her brother and then looked towards Licht.

"Let's just wait for him to finish meditating," Cecilia said

Laine was confused and asked, "I am guessing that man was the one in the carriage earlier and he is peak blue rank."

"Yes. If he did not come to fight the beast king, we would have been killed. The beast king was also peak-blue rank. Even father might have lost against that creature." Lillian said seriously

Laine was surprised but he did not utter another word. He just watched as Licht was leveling up from the fragment.

The aura increasing from Licht was becoming quite overwhelming. Midas had to move away from his master and the others also scurried away. The beast king on its last breath died after being affected by the aura. As the soul was leaving the body, it was absorbed by Midas as he scurried away.
