Leaving Belzoheim, The twin's past

Morning came and Licht left his room. Midas and Daren left their room swiftly after. The maids brought Licht and the other two to the entrance where they met Regallas and his family. On Regallas's finger proudly rested a dazzling high-rank space ring with the size of four rooms within its space. Behind Regallas stood two women, who looked like twins. The girl on the left had blue hair with furry ears on the top of her head with a fluffy tail, her eyes were orange and her expression seemed cheery while the girl on the right had orange hair with blue eyes, furry ears, and a fluffy tail but her expression was the opposite of her sister, she had a cold expression on her face.

"Good morning master" Regallas was still not used to the whole master concept, but he was slowly adapting. "These are my personal maids; Luna and Solana. I hope it is no problem for them to come with us"

As Regallas introduced them, they both curtsied and said "Greeting, Sir Licht"

"It's fine. I see they are both of the late blue rank, same as Daren, so they should be safe" Licht said. Daren also examined them as this was his first time seeing actual half beast-kin not artificially made like what Midas did with souls.

"Sir Licht, we wait to hear of your deeds." Priscilla said "And also there is a huge town past the border that is out of the influence of both the kingdom of humans and the elven kingdom. That town is filled with bandits, thieves, murderers, rapists, and other vile people. The reason why I have even left them untouched for a long time is due to the fact that there is an enforcer there of the same rank as I. We fought once, I had the upper hand but I would have been severely injured and been unable to protect Belzoheim so I left. I also felt an evil aura around him but till now I still cannot place my finger on what the aura was. I know he's not going to be any problem for you but I felt I should tell you about such a person as it sure is odd that someone so strong would be resting in a town and is not known in this continent.

Licht listened and then nodded when Priscilla was done talking about the town. They headed out of Belzoheim as they had a long journey ahead of them.

In Regallas's space ring, he had taken a lot of metal ingots to craft with, he even took rare ones like Harkanium, Adamantine, Vibranite, and Xth-metal. He had to prepare for the journey ahead as he felt if he did not smith of any sort then he might run mad.

They were currently using a carriage that was given to them by the elven king. In the carriage sat Licht, Regallas and his two maids while Midas sat on the top of the carriage as he was already used to such a thing and Daren went forward as the scout of the group.

"So how did two half beast-kins end up in Belzoheim such a long distance from home?" Licht looked at Solana and Luna.

They looked at Regallas who said "He is now my master so no secrets from him. Talking to him is like talking to my father"

They both nodded as Luna started speaking "We are mistakes made from the union of two rival clans. Our father was one of the sons of the great elder in the Sunmane clan which consists of Lion kin that has the solar ether attribute while our mother was one of the many daughters of the Moonhowl clan leader, wolf kins that have the lunar ether attribute. One of our ancestors is Daello who fought against the shadow creatures. Due to both clans having people who have been in the emperor's seat more than once, the clans hate each other to the guts, but our parents managed to fall in love by chance.

Mother got pregnant but she could not tell anyone about Father so they both decided to run away. She successfully gave birth to us and we lived happily ever after or at least that was what we thought. After close to a decade of hiding, someone from the clan finally found us as they had been searching for my mother, they also found out about me and my sister and decided we could not live as we were abominations. For the first time in our long history, the clans allied themselves to kill us, to kill children." As Luna spoke she started to become teary eyed so Solana took over as she was naturally cold.

"People from both clans banded together to attack our parents. Even their parents and siblings were there to watch them kill us, their children. Mom and Dad fought till their dying breath but they could not prevail against numbers and strength. They looked at us with love before they died, telling us to have a good life. As we were about to be killed by our family, Ancestor Daello came out from his hibernation. He could not pacify the demands of the Sunmanes or Moonhowls so he chose to send us away." Luna spoke about their touching story like she was talking about a stranger's story but the interior of the carriage was slowly freezing over.

Regallas tapped her as she broke out of her trance, she apologized to Licht but he did not mind, in fact Licht now had a reason to visit the Half kin empire. To Licht, no one was allowed to bring harm to his people, before or after their meeting. He would grant power to them just so they would have their vengeance.

Licht's cold smile now reduced the temperature of the already cold carriage for some reason, Solana and Luna felt comfortable seeing that smile.

They continued "He put us on a cart to the elven kingdom because he knew we would be safe with the nicest person he ever fought beside who was Priscilla. He sent a letter ahead letting her know we would be on our way. He put some mercenaries he trusted with us to protect us from any scenario we would encounter along the way but it seemed that both clans were not satisfied with that so they sent mercenaries of their own who fought and killed the ones sent to guard us. We managed to escape miraculously, we wandered until we were found by a group of bandits who sold us in a town close by as slaves. Apparently, Miss Priscilla had been awaiting our arrival for months, and when we did not show she went to search for us herself which also took months. She went through the town on her search for us where she finally found us but we were about to be sold. She raged and killed everyone involved in the slave trade but was stopped by the old man she told you about. She retreated with us briefly after and we have been working as her aides since then. She made us join the young master since she knew he would be following you"

Licht listened and said "If you guys want the power to topple kingdoms then you were right to follow me. Your revenge will not be too long now"

They both nodded with determination. Licht laughed while Regallas smiled as he felt his new master was not too bad and maybe even a softie.
