Here i come

Maverick rolled around the battleground, downing enemies with blinding speed. It was shocking that rings were not popping out of the beasts. Some beasts managed to breach through Julius and Maverick, reaching Scarlet.

A normal archer might have panicked as the beasts got into close range, but not Scarlet. As she figured that they were too close for a ranged confrontation, she immediately took out the huge daggers that were tucked in her boots. As she wielded them, it looked like they lengthened with the flame. Wielding two flame sabers, she slashed around, killing the beasts instantly. She was once the captain of the Crimsons, so she was not a force to be reckoned with. Davina stayed away from casting several spells.

"Mass confusion"

"Heart attack"

"Soul trap"

"Dead lungs"

"Blood overload"

Some of the beasts started attacking each other; some of the ones that dropped dead got up and started attacking the other beasts; others struggled to breathe; and another pair of beasts swelled up and exploded, causing their body parts to become shrapnels that killed or injured other beasts.

The intermediate green ranked beasts had all been exterminated, and now it was the advanced green ranked beasts turn. They were tempted to turn back, but as they remembered the aura of the demon lady, they continued to charge. They would rather take their chances with these guys than with the woman from behind.

"These guys are getting quite annoying." Scarlet gritted her teeth as she felt the pressure. None of them were crowd control specialists. If this were Midas, Regallas, or Sloane, it would have been somewhat easy as their abilities worked better with a crowd, but these guys were stronger when facing individuals.

"Argghhhhh!" Scarlet yelled, and she was ablaze. Five gigantic spears hovered above her as she also hovered above the ground.

"Pesky insects, burn." The five spears flew in a straight line, and explosions happened all around the spears as they landed. The battleground was quiet, and only the sound of wood burning and popping could be heard.

After that attack that wiped out all the advanced red rank beasts and some of the peak green rank beasts, Scarlet fainted.

Maverick had already reverted back to his normal, not-sphere like form. He caught Scarlet on his back and took her to safety, protecting her from any rogue beast.

Julius was sent flying by the mammoth once again. He stood up and saw that Scarlet was down.

"Okay, I guess I have played with you enough. Time to get serious." Steam poured off his body as his muscles grew bigger. His eyes got red, and it felt like he had lost all semblance of lucidity.

"Roooaarrrrrr." This was the special skill of the barbarians called Berserk. The barbarians would have an immense increase in strength but would lose their sanity for a period of time. They will also become adept at their attributes, like they have been masters for a long time.

Julius stood huffing and puffing; the aura radiating off him was loud; his hair was raised like a super Saiyan; and his eyes were pure red. With his hammer in hand, he stepped forward.

Each step he took caused a sonic boom. The beasts did not know what was going on, but they felt they would now rather face the demon lady than face the flame girl and this scary hairless gorilla.

"Ikuzo"

The next step he took caused them to lose sight of him; he had vanished. He stood upon the mammoth and placed his hands right on the creature, very gently. The next thing that happened was that the mammoth started to bleed out every orifice, and then it collapsed. He looked at the other creatures and sighed.

The other creatures had the same thing happen to them. They all bled out of their orifices and died. The berserk skill timed out, and Julius also collapsed. Davina just stayed on the tree as she looked at the two monsters that were her teacher's direct disciples.

The carriage reappeared again after all the creatures were dead. Ana stood behind Tenebrea, who was still drinking blood from the glass, but her gown was a bit stained, which showed at a point during the fight when she got surprised and spilled a bit on herself.

She walked in Julius's direction "That was satisfying to watch. He manipulated the vibrations and caused internal damage to all the beasts. You're one OP barbarian." She patted Julius, who was already down.

"Okay, Ana, take what exactly they need. Extract the blood, cores, teeth, claws, scales, etcetera. You can leave the fur and meat behind."

"As you wish, my lady," Like clockwork, she defanged, declawed, and extracted cores and blood from every single creature that died there. Tenebrea had sent a crow in the direction of the Pixie village to tell them about the abundance of meat here. The pixies would arrive less than a day later to collect the meat, so she chose to freeze it. The ice would slowly melt by the time they got here and took it to their village.

The ice was blood red, but there would be no change in flavor; she used the little blood left within each of them to freeze it, hence the blood red color.

Both Julius and Scarlet were placed in the carriage alongside Davina and Maverick. The carriage continued in the direction of the fallen peak, where one of the fragments was felt to be.

Scarlet woke up a couple days later, while Julius took an entire week before he awoke. The cores that were extracted from the beasts were all fed to Maverick, who had leveled up within four days. He was now the highest level creature in the carriage at advanced green rank, excluding Tenebrea and Ana, of course.

The claws, teeth, and other body parts were given to Davina, who had to learn herbology from Tenebrea. She did not need to always chant for curses; some herbs and body parts mixed together could actually create a curse.

It was called voodoo, and Davina was really fascinated by it. That was what she was learning before Julius woke up, and by the time Julius woke up, she was already on the same level as Maverick; they were both advanced green ranked beings.
