Five against one

Midas sat up as he absorbed the souls of the soldiers and mercenaries that had fallen in town. He decided to use some to reinforce the ones that were in yellow rank but they weren't enough so he chose to wait as he knew he was going to get five new more powerful souls to reinforce with.

Midas had already been struck by Leo so he knew that Leo was at least at basic red rank. That meant that the entire five was at least basic red rank. If Licht killed them, he could only store one soul and use the others to reinforce his own soul and the other souls within his.

Licht took every step slowly. The five glared at him till they decided to make the first move.

Leo yelled "Tremor"

The earth beneath Licht's feet started to split and rumble but he continued walking. The floor broke apart and separated but Licht was not concerned as he continued to approach them in mid-air.

Aiesha jumped towards Licht attacking him with a rock covered fist. Even though Licht had blocked, he was thrown across the broken-up ground.

Apparently, Leo and Aiesha had the same ability but Leo was a caster while Aiesha was an enforcer.

"That was too easy," Aiesha said with a frown on her face.

"Stay ready. I do not think that did anything to him" Leo said to Aiesha

They looked in the direction of where Licht landed. He was getting up with his silver hair in a mess, robes were torn and tattered. He stared at them with joy in his eyes.

"This is the challenge I have been looking for" He said as he laughed.

He leaped up, summoning his naginata. The five noticed that Licht was getting serious so they chose to fight together. Ahang had a ball of wind gathering beneath him as he held a gem-like orb in his hands. The orb helped in increasing the power of his spells. Old man Choi held his sword which was covered with a silver aura. This was old man Choi's ether attribute. He was a metal attribute enforcer, making his weapons sharper than they should ever be. He was also an expert swordsman and was the oldest of the five with Abigail being a few years younger than him.

Abigail stood with a black vile aura around her, the aura of death. It looked like she didn't use a weapon as she just stared at Licht who was approaching them.

Old man Choi, Leo and Aiesha attacked Licht. Despite Leo being a caster, he had trained his body to the point it was almost like that of an enforcer.

"Comet descent"

Leo had casted a spell. Several huge boulders fell on where Licht was. He slashed the huge boulders as fast as they fell but before he could move forward, a fist came in contact with his face and he was sent flying. In the air a sword came slashing downwards, threatening to cut him in half, he managed to block with the shaft of his naginata but the force sent him plummeting downwards. Two giant fists made out of earth began pummeling Licht who was embedded in the ground at the moment.

If it were any other random red ranked, they would have probably been injured but this was not just any person.

"Wow, that was fast paced," Licht said as he walked out of the huge hole in the ground adjusting his clothes. "I almost could not keep up."

"Air cannon, Slicing winds"

"Hands of death, Death bestowal"

Shouted both Ahang and Abigail as they simultaneously dual casting. A huge ball of air blasted into Licht who just walked out of the crater destabilizing him even further, a blade of air attempted to cut him. It cut at his skin but failed even leave a mark. A giant skeletal hand came out of the ground slamming Licht into the ground like a bug, it also left a red mark on his body that should slowly kill him.

Licht destroyed the bone hand with a punch and wiped the mark away like it was chalk on a chalkboard.

"I know you guys can do better. Let me motivate you" Licht said with a smile as he dashed forward. They all heard a sonic boom and Licht had appeared in front of Leo who managed to act fast as two diagonal stalagmites formed from the ground in an X attempting to block Licht's slash. Leo this time was sent flying as the stalagmites were broken and Licht's hit connected.

"Leo" Aiesha shouted as she saw Leo flying She rushed in his direction, catching him before he fell to the ground. Leo was coughing and gasping for air.

"That bastard almost killed me. if I hadn't used the earth to block and form armor around myself I would be dead right now" Leo said in anger

Aiesha also looked really pissed as she stared at Licht with venom in her eyes.

The earth started sticking to her body forming a bulky armor, she looked like Delsin when he used his concrete abilities.

"Fortify earth" Leo said. The armor around Aiesha looked more solid and stronger. He fortified the armor around her as it was made of earth making it lighter, stronger and more durable.

She dashed once again towards Licht. Leo kept his distance this time as he chanted "Pillar rain". Huge stalagmites pillar grew from the ground, they had reached a heights of about fifty meters and still growing then they started curving downwards, rushing towards Licht at rapt speed. Ahang started a chant as giant tornados rose swallowing and slicing everything in their path. They swallowed Licht up but he had still not moved as he stood with that smile.

"Death puppets arise" Abigail chanted and the corpses of the people within the town and the ones outside the walls that had been rotting jumped up at Licht. They had numbered thousands, and they all attacking at the same time.

The numbers were overwhelming and soon Licht was buried under the moving corpses of several thousand.

Old man Choi stood staring at the moving corpses waiting for any abnormality so he could attack immediately.

The pillars were now frozen waiting to attack, the tornado had gone as Licht dispelled it quite easily. The atmosphere was still but very tense as they all waited, breathing heavily and staring at the sight, waiting for some form of reaction. They had forgotten about Midas and the others who were also there staring in anticipation.

All of a sudden, something strange was happening. A golden light shot out into the sky from the pile and more kept coming till it engulfed the entire pile. The light was bright and grew with intensity till it got so blinding they couldn't look at it directly. When it died down, they saw Licht standing there with his naginata

in his hands. His robe was now gone torn to shreds, his cheat was bare once more. All around him were the escaped beams of golden light which started converging back into him

Old man Choi sheathed back his sword, no one saw him move but Licht as he saw everything. The old swordsman slashed three hundred times before placing his sword back into his sheath. Had that been anyone else they would have died and been cut into three hundred pieces but it was Licht.

He dodged every single slash, as he dodged the slashes, Leo released his hold on the pillars and they came crashing down really fast. Licht swung his naginata, splitting the pillars and dodging the rest as he twisted and turned in mid air. It was quite obvious that Licht was enjoying this. On Licht's face, it was like a kid who was running through a park. He was amused but he did not feel in danger.

As Licht landed, Aiesha appeared in front of him, she punched him with enough force to kill but it was blocked and she was hit hard in the face, she stumbled a little but she was not discouraged.

"Gatling punch" Aiesha threw a series of punches with enough speed and force to distort the air around them and all that could be seen were afterimages. Licht was being slowly pushed back. Old man Choi appeared behind him attempting to stab Licht in his head but at the last minute, he grabbed the blade. He pulled Choi towards him. He punched the swordsman in the face, throwing him backward. He had his skull caved in from Licht's punch but he seemed to be still alive and healing as a shadow-like liquid moved around his face and skull healing his wounds.

Licht grabbed Aiesha's fist and broke both her arms. She screamed in pain and as he was about to finish her. A wall of earth came out of the ground separating both of them just in time for Leo to save her from Licht.

"It looks like we have to go all out. If we don't, we will die to this freak" Ahang said, staring at Abigail.

She sighed and yelled "Everyone, Release your shackles"
