Grain spent the next twelve hours just floating aimlessly, in the sky above Brigade.
He wasn't sure what he was feeling.
Anger?
Of course.
Hunger?
Always.
Regret?
Maybe?
Part of him felt like a monster for what he did to Liana.
The other larger part, made him feel like it was necessary.
'I couldn't let her live,' he thought. 'She would have been broken.'
He had convinced himself the moment he exited the separate space.
He see her face and knew he couldn't let her be exposed to this world any longer.
If she couldn't ascend with him, there was no point.
She was just holding him back.

Remus was contacted by Leon, and caught up to speed on what happened.
He was devastated.
Liana was one of his Worthy, he cared for her deeply.
Now she had been murdered by his own grandson and if Leon was correct, Grain would only become more violent and unempathetic.
