Chapter 1

There was a time in my live where I thought that nothing I did would matter or mean something to me but then a year before I graduated from high school, events transpired that would change my live so substantially like nothing had ever done or would ever do. I lived at that time with my parents and my older brother in a small apartment right in the middle of Berlin. It was the year 2023 and the things I'm about to tell are truly unimaginable.

My story starts with a Monday the simplest and most ordinary Monday you could imagine. So, like the bad student I am, I overslept and therefore had to rush to school. This day was the day set for us to hear the live stories of some absolvents from our school. Of course, I was late but to my delight the presentation had not started yet. After realizing that I went to an empty seat and set down. I didn't know it at that point but these "presentations" would be extremely boring and absolutely not helpful because in the end they just said what everyone say like: "you have to believe in yourself that you will make it" or "live is not a straight line but one with many ups and downs", and so on. The last presentation ended and to my luck or misfortune I had no other lessons this day and went home. I remember to have had strange thoughts that day on my way home, but I do not remember what these thoughts were just that I had a feeling that something strange will happen in the future, and so it happened. The train was directly before the train station when a strange phenomenon occurred, it rained but rather then Water like usual it rained tiny greyish-white rocks. Some were small and some were bigger but all of them were so fast that tiny craters appeared where they hit the ground. Then suddenly the train was hit by one of the rocks. The impact sent a tremor through the train, which was nearly ripped away from the railway. As I recovered from the tremor a much bigger asteroid hit the street in front of us…

When I came, with a sewer headache and a hurting back, back to conscious, I could hear screams and now and then muffled explosions. After I slowly opened my eyes, I saw a picture that truly shocked me deeply and that will forever be burned in my brain. I was lying in a building which seemed to be a mall that had a big hole and the train that I had been riding with in it. The train was truly demolished and I could see corpses everywhere I looked. Everything in the building was dead and calm besides a few tremors here and there from other asteroids which were still impacting on earth. Beyond the hole I could see where true chaos resided. The street was a mess with multiple small craters in it and I could see the marks the train left while it slid into the building. The train station was gone and all I could see was a big crater. Smoke was everywhere and I started coughing. I tried to look for a living person outside but all I could see were corpses and asteroids which were still raining with no end.

Boom

Another asteroid hit the street right in front of the building I was in. The shockwave sent me reeling backwards and the smoke made my eyes water but as the smoke was clearing up, I could have my first reel look on one of the asteroids. The asteroid was a pale greyish-white looking rock with a wird glowing azure shade to it.
